Rockin' sound at a reasonable price

Blaupunkt Marine BPMSX402 4" 2-way coaxial speakers

The big 1" tweeter broadcasts the high frequencies effectively.

Blaupunkt's MSx 402 4" marine speakers will boost your boat's sound without taking too big a bite out of your budget. These full-range speakers feature injected polypropylene (IPP) woofer cones for lively midrange and low-frequency response, while the 1" tweeters make the high frequencies come alive. These low-profile speakers require less than 2" of mounting depth, so you can install them in a wide variety of boats.

Durability and performance

These speakers are all about durability and performance. They're specially designed to withstand the salt, spray, and sunlight that can turn lesser speakers into ballast after just one season on the water. Covered magnets, insulated cable terminals, and stainless steel hardware ensure long-lasting quality. The stylish, protective grilles will blend almost anywhere.

Product Highlights:

  • 4" 2-way marine speakers (pair)

Good little speakers for my sailboat.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I used these to replace some very old Radio Shack speakers in the cockpit of my 26' sailboat without cutting bigger holes. For their size and price they sound pretty good. They're not really loud enough to listen to with the outboard running but while under sail they work very well. At the dock they are loud enough to listen to while relaxing in the cockpit or down below but not loud and bassy enough to disturb neighboring boats. They don't have much bass but that is to be expected due to their small size. Over all the sound is crisp and clear.

Pros: Affordable. Small. Good stainless mounting hardware provided.

Cons: Not much bass.
