Why listen to your old factory speakers when a nice upgrade is within reach? Blaupunkt combines its reputation for reliability with modern design in their GT Power Series speaker line.
This GT Power Series 66.2C component speaker system features 6-3/4" polypropylene woofer cones that deliver accurate, full-bodied sound. Mylar semi-dome tweeters reproduce the vocal and instrumental details smoothly and cleanly. The 3-ohm impedance safely draws a little more power from your car radio or amplifier. And the signature blue color offers a look as distinct as Blaupunkt's legacy sound.

Product Highlights:

  • 6-3/4" component speaker system (two woofers, two tweeters, in-line crossovers)
  • injected polypropylene woofer with treated foam surround
  • 1" Mylar semi-dome tweeter
  • power range: 2-62 watts RMS (260 watts peak power)
  • frequency response: 40-22,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 92 dB
  • top-mount depth: 2.3228"
  • warranty: none (Crutchfield's 60-day satisfaction guarantee applies)
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Why install component speakers?

A component speaker system gives you the best possible performance from your car audio system. A system consists of separate woofers, tweeters, and crossovers, each designed to cover one specific range of frequencies. As separate components, the woofer can move freely to deliver more powerful performance, while the tweeter can be custom-mounted in a better spot up closer to your ears, revealing a whole new world of detail. Separate crossovers are far superior to the simple filters wired into full-range speakers, so the components work together for smoother, more focused sound.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Crutchfield makes it so easy to upgrade old car stereo from the golden oldies. I have a 96 Pathfinder and was expecting a whole day of installation. Took me only 2 hours to completely install front and rear speakers with the instructions they provided and the kits. I will buy from no other company !

1999 Volkswagen Jetta
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

First and foremost, these speakers sound awesome. The quality is so much better than the 20 watt OEM speakers that these replaced. However, I will say, that make sure that you don't damage the OEM speaker grill while removing, as the Blaupunkt grill is way to large to fit, and because of the curvature of the door don't really mount flush. Also, the package includes tweeters, however, at least on my Jetta, the only tweeter are on the back deck. Odd that these are slated for the front, and have a connection for the tweeters, but the 66.3 that are slated for the back, only have one usable connection even though that's where the tweeters are, at least on my "Burrito Jetta"

Pros: Great sound for the price. Easy install with the included "FREE" adapters and instructions.

Cons: Although, it might "Fit" some Jetta models, not that great of a fit on mine if you want to use the Blaupunkt grill.
