Blaupunkt's GTx 662 DE 6-3/4” speakers offer the sonic clarity you want for your music at a budget-friendly price. They're a great option for replacing factory speakers that have lost their stage presence.

The GTx 662 DE speakers use injected polypropylene (IPP) woofers for lively midrange and low-frequency response. Their 2-way speaker design also includes 1" Mylar dome tweeters which deliver all the details and ambience in your music. The speakers' low profile enables you to install them behind the factory grilles in many vehicles, but they also include stylish protective grilles for custom installations.

very good sound in all ranges, if you have a modern powerful head unit. do not need a added amplifier. even good tight accurate bass will shake door panels, but not loud booming boisterous bass. very efficient.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought these based on the recommendations and reviews. I installed one so that I could compare it to the factory speakers. I was very disappointed. The factory speaker was louder, warmer, more bass, and more accurate everywhere except the high end. The new speaker did have better high end. I ended up removing and returning it. The included instructions and free kits were very helpful. I recommend Googling or YouTubing installation before you attempt it as there are some steps on the included instructions for which there is an easier method. Using a shop towel to remove manual window cranks?! No, use a small screwdriver to pry off the clip. Crutchfield's customer service is excellent.

Pros: Inexpensive 2 way speakers, free hardware

Cons: Not great sound.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are very good speakers and a great value for the money. They have excellent construction and they handle the power of your average high end stereo units. Also depending on the dealer the installation instructions and materials included with them make replacing old speakers a breeze. I could not believe that it only took about 20 minutes for each door to have the job done. The sound is great from these speakers and I would recommend them to anyone.

Pros: Poly cone construction and 2 way speakers.

Put these into the rear side of a 97 Camaro. They sound good and have decent bass. They did not fit correctly and I ended up only using 3 screws to hold them in rather than 4. Still was easy to install maybe 20 min total.

Pros: crisp sound decent bass

Cons: did not have an exact fit

2002 Toyota Tundra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are pretty good speakers but they didn't quite fit perfectly into my stock door speaker housings in my 02 tundra front doors. The holes for the mounting screws were a little off so I had to bore out the holes a bit to get them to fit but they are OK now. I also used some weather stripping foam on the back side like the original speakers had to minimize the vibration noise. I would recommend this as I didn't do this on the first speaker and it really was vibrating my door at louder volumes so I took the speaker out and did this and it made a big difference.

Pros: Good Value and pretty good speakers all in all.

Cons: Did not fit perfectly.

2002 Nissan Sentra
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These were actually my 2nd choice for the rear deck of a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R. The first choice being a pair of Polk DXi651. Unfortunately, Crutchfield gave the Polks a "Does Not Fit" status for the rear deck, though I did install a pair in the front doors. In the end, the Blaupunkts were less expensive but only good performers.

Pros: - Price - Build quality seems very good - High Sensitivity...i.e., they play loud with a less powerful head unit

Cons: - Bass is OK, but lacks punch - Mid and Highs are good, not great

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I put these speakers in a '98 Jaguar, and it couldn't have been any easier. They attached to the existing locations without a single issue. With the additional optional screw holes available, I don't see how anyone couldn't adapt these to their specific installation. More importantly, they sound fantastic!

Pros: Great sound. Simplistic installation. Crutchfield also automatically suggested the necessary wiring harness.

Cons:

These are 4-ohm speakers. I'd recommend contacting an Advisor by phone or online chat. They'll be able to take a look at your vehicle and see if these will work as a replacement and/or what other options you may have. [ Jeff  Dec 16, 2013 ]  Staff
