More science than magic

Nothing up the sleeve here! Blaupunkt's Blue Magic TL 130 5-1/4" speakers offer high-end construction and materials at an affordable price. Each speaker features a rigid injected polypropylene (IPP) woofer that works with its rubber surround to produce accurate mids and lows. Combine that with a sensitive PEI dome tweeter and a piezo super tweeter for your highs, and you'll get faithful reproduction of all your music.

Ample power handling, tough design, and a low profile make these Blaupunkts a great choice for replacing your stock speakers. Their included grilles also enable you to use them in a custom installation. You can power these efficient speakers with a factory radio, an aftermarket car stereo, or an amplifier.

Product Highlights:

  • 5-1/4" 3-way car speakers (pair)
  • injected polypropylene woofer with rubber surround
  • PEI dome tweeter and piezo super tweeter
  • black steel basket
  • power range: 2-51 watts RMS (220 watts peak power)
  • frequency response: 40-25,000 Hz
  • sensitivity: 91 dB
  • 3-ohm impedance works with a factory radio, an aftermarket car stereo, or an amplifier
  • top-mount depth: 2-1/4"
  • metal grilles included
  • warranty: 1 year
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

Why replace your car's original speakers?

The speakers that originally came in your car were made from inexpensive materials, designed to create acceptable sound at the lowest possible cost to the manufacturer. If you love music, you deserve better. Name-brand aftermarket speakers deliver fuller, richer sound with considerably more detail and nuance, and they're capable of playing louder and cleaner than factory speakers. Connect new speakers to your factory radio and you'll get the best possible sound from your dealer-equipped system. Pair them up with a new car stereo for a level of enjoyment that can rival a high-fidelity home audio experience.

Depth of Freq Response!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These 3-ways are in the front doors of my 2004 Chevy Avalanche. Left the factory tweeters in the windshield pillar. It took me a few settings on my Kenwood head unit to get my EQs balanced across the frequency spectrum, but when I did the sound is studio quality to me.

Pros: Very nice, full-range sound. Clean and crisp. Light years better than the factory paper cones.

Cons: None.

A great bang for your buck. These remind me of the old green infinity kappas but only in blue. Similar sound quality for much less of a price.

Pros: Awesome Sound and Look

Cons: Absolutely nothing

Just as advertised

Good speaker for the price, could pound a little harder in my opinion. Haven't tried running an amp to any of my door speakers yet but i'm sure this will sound much better.

Pros: appearance, mids and highs

Cons: terminal bent in half with the provided adaptors, so i just soldered it to the terminal

Easy to Install

2004 Jeep Wrangler
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Crutchfield recommended this speaker for installation in my 2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon front dash. They included the special mounting plates to accommodate the larger size speaker. I also asked for a brand I could match with the rollbar pods. I'll get those Blaupunkts soon enough.

Pros: Very easy to install. Sound better than the factory ones, especially when turned way up and top off.

Cons: Wish the speakers were tilted more in the direction of the occupants. Based on Jeep's design, they point down and some of the highs are lost in the directionality. I may try placing some washers or spacers behind the bottom of the mounting plate to see if that works to better balance the sound.

Very easy install with the install adaptor. Directions were precise. Sound is very nice. The bass doesn't thump, but that's not what this speaker is for, and that's fine with me.

Pros: Easy install, great sound,

Cons: None

Bought these to replace the factory units in my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. These fit perfectly in the overhead sound bar. It was really a simple plug and play solution.

Pros: Extremely simple installation. Great sound.

Cons: Not much of a con, but I wish the speaker covers were black instead of silver.

If you are looking for a speaker for your car or truck these are not bad. They are good for what you pay and if u are on a budget these will work but if u can afford some of the more expensive ones I would go with them. You get what you pay for. Not the worst not the best.

Pros: Cheap and sound ok

Cons: Good be better they are not the best sound ok but not great

Pretty nice product, put out a lot if crisp sound. Not much bass at all, but did not expect a lot with this type. Good replacement for factory speakers.... If you're adding it to a system with some'll give you the highs and mids you need no doubt!

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I was a little apprehensive ordering these speakers with no reviews, but what can I say, they're a pretty blue lol. They were fairly simple to install, although I was a little disappointed that they wouldn't fit under my factory speaker grilles. I had to cut a hole in my grill and bolt the grill that came with the speaker on top. Ended up working just fine and looks good, just more work than expected. Sound wise they're awesome, detailed highs, next to no bass but they are three way speakers so I wasn't expecting much in that regard. Overall very satisfied

Pros: Nice sound, inexpensive, good value, well made

Cons: no bass, tall tweeter mount made installation more difficult.

Hmmm, it's been a while, but measuring from the outer edge of the woofer, I'd say about 3/8", maybe closer to 1/2'. I had to cut my factory grills and bolt the included grills over top of it. [ LUCAS H  Jul 17, 2015 ]
