The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance. Cool looks and big bass an unbeatable combination! The Visonik V123BP bandpass enclosure features two 12" spruce pulp woofers that hit hard and fast. Treated foam surrounds ensure long speaker life and maximum cone excursion. The rugged enclosure is constructed from 5/8" medium density fiberboard, and the heavy-duty black carpeting adds to an attractive appearance. Four billet aluminum ports are tuned for maximum thump, and the see-through, molded window lets you watch your subs at work. Bandpass Enclosure: The enclosure has a molded Plexiglas front window that allows you to see the woofers. There are two "Visonik" logos on the front. The Plexiglas does form a complete seal for the enclosure and is secured in place by 20 screws. There is a mirror that lines the bottom inside of the enclosure. Tuned Ports: The top of the enclosure has 4 tuned billet aluminum ports for maximum bass output. Each port has a diameter of 2.962". Heavy-duty Industrial Carpeting: The enclosure is finished with heavy-duty industrial carpeting for superior durability. 5-way Binding Posts: On the back of the box, there are separate 5-way binding post terminals for each woofer. Each set of 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, or dual banana plugs. Power Handling: Each subwoofer can handle up to 300 watts RMS power, and 600 watts peak power. Impedance: This system includes two 4-ohm woofers. Since there is a separate terminal cup for each woofer, this system may be wired to present a 4-ohm stereo load, a 2-ohm mono load or an 8-ohm mono load. With some complications from the trunk space i had to remove the spare tire. I had these paired with the Visonik 600w mono block and they sounded amazing. You could hear me from block away. Was this review helpful? Yes | No 4 out of 5 Surprised in a good way! Written By LaYanko, Wilkes-Barre, PA on Thursday, August 14, 2008 I had and have used a Kenwood bandpass (2 x 12") for years, originally purchased to install in a 1995 Dodge Intrepid back in 1994. Loved the product. Recently purchase a project vehicle (1999 Monte Carlo) and planned on using the same box without ever considering size restraints. The box was seriously too wide to fit between the trunk-lid supports so it had to be replaced. Purchased this Visonik V123BP solely for the size of the box and had every intention on replacing the actual subs when time allowed me to do so. After hooking up the box to my amp and tuning it in, I was extremely surprised at the quality of the sound; especially since I never heard of 'Visonik' and assumed it was some company like 'Profile'. Though I would prefer my bass a tad deeper and I have to turn the level up a bit higher then on the Keenwoods, for now I am sticking with this generic product as it has actually impressed me at a bargain price. Usually you only get what you pay for, but this little company has produced a fine product. 5 out of 5 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Awesome budget boom! Written By j, Phoenix, AZ on Saturday, April 19, 2008 I bought this box 3 years ago and have had it hooked up in my Amigo the whole time. At first I just had a little 300 watt amp hooked up and they sounded pretty good...not great. I finally broke down and bought an 800 watt amp and had to actually turn the amp down! This box hits so hard, you can hear it from over a block away, and that's with the amp turned down a bit! I've read others here complaining about them cutting out at high volume... it's your amp cutting out, not the speakers. When I first hooked them up with my 300, it would cut out because the amp was overheating, but it has never happened with my 800, and it's been 3 years now. I love this box!!! If you know how to tune your amp correctly, this box sounds as good as almost anything out there. For this price, it doesn't get any better. 12 out of 12 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 3 out of 5 Quality and Boom?
