Headrest Features
Product Overview: The
Vizualogic Advantage Series Headrest Monitor System consists of two
pre-assembled headrests with integrated 7" Widescreen LCD color monitors designed to replace the OEM headrest in your vehicle,
two pairs of wireless headphones, an A/V control module, an FM modulator, and a wireless remote
control.
Compatibility: This
PerfectMatch headrest monitor is designed to replace the OEM headrests in select
Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Please check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm
compatibility with your vehicle.
PerfectMatch: The headrests are
manufactured to OEM specifications to give you the exact color, grain, shape,
and performance of the original headrests. They are made from the same materials
as the OEM headrests to ensure long-life durability and a look that matches the
natural wear. Vizualogic's design specialists examine the OEM fabric and
stitching pattern to make sure the duplication is perfect.
Injection Molded: The internal
headrest padding is made with an injection-mold process which creates a tough
fusion of foam and plastic that keeps its shape and protects the monitor. The
monitor is then flush-mounted into the headrest with no protruding trim bezel
for a custom fit.
Headrest Tilt: The headrests
feature multiple tilt positions to assure passenger comfort as well as options
for positioning the screen for the best viewing angle.
Wiring: The wiring for the
monitor is enclosed in the 6.5" hollow-core posts. The attached cable has a
multi-pin molex plug which is connected to the control module via the included
7.5' extension cable.
Monitor
Features
Resolution: This 7" LCD
monitor offers a video resolution of 1,440(W) x 234(H) for a total of 336,960
pixels. The "Hi-Bright" picture gives you great visibility in the
daytime as well as at night.
Viewing Angle: The monitors
offer a wide 120° horizontal viewing angle (+/-60°), assuring that off-axis
viewers will be able to enjoy viewing with full-color clarity. The
vertical viewing angle is -30° to +60°.
Audio/Video Control Module: The monitors'
2-Channel A/V Control Module is the central hub of the system. In addition to
two A/V inputs, it also has three A/V outputs (stereo audio/composite video), three
multi-pin DIN monitor outputs (for Vizualogic monitors), and power/ground leads. The
A/V outputs (labeled slave 1, slave 2, and slave 3) are linked to the output connectors
for the headrests and can be used to supply signals to outboard devices (such as
additional monitors, the included FM
modulator, or the aux input of the vehicle's radio). The module's
dimensions are Width=4.833", Height=0.996",
and Depth=4.312".
Infrared Eye: Each monitor has a
tiny built-in infrared eye with a wide pickup range, allowing you to make
adjustments using the remote from almost anywhere in the vehicle.
IR Output: In addition to
controlling the monitor functions via remote, there are two mini-jack IR outputs
(one per monitor) on the control module to forward commands to outboard devices, such as DVD
players or VCRs.
A/V Inputs: The supplied A/V
control module has two A/V inputs (stereo audio and composite video), and allows
each monitor independent input selection.
Mirror Mode: You can invert the
video image in the menu to display a mirror image of the video signal,
convenient if you are using a rear-view camera as one of your video sources.
Monitor Controls: Each monitor
has 5 control buttons:
- Up Arrow: Increases each
function in the menu
- Down Arrow: Decreases each
function in the menu
- Menu: Switches through the
functions in the menu to select the desired screen adjustments
- Source: Selects Input 1 (A/V
1) or Input 2 (A/V 2)
- Power: Turns the LCD monitor
on or off
On-Screen Display: System setup
and picture settings are displayed on screen and adjustments are made using the remote control
or the buttons on the monitor.
Picture Adjustments: Contrast,
brightness, color, tint, and sharpness are adjustable using the remote or the
buttons on the monitor.
Zoom: There are four aspect ratio
settings for the display; Full (16:9), Normal (4:3), Cinema (zoom-in view of
16:9), or Wide (zoom-out view of 16:9)
Wireless Headphones
Headphones: Two pairs of wireless infrared
headphones are included with the kit. Each has an A/B switch for channel
selection. Each monitor has a corresponding IR transmitter built-in and has the A/B channel selector
as well.
FM Modulator
Dimensions: The dimensions of
the hideaway
modulator are Width=5.530", Height=1.156", and Depth=1.938".
Frequencies: There are eight
choices of output frequencies from 88.5 MHz to 89.9MHz (0.2 MHz increments).
Wiring: The line input is
female RCA plugs (left/right) on the end of a 20" cable. The ground lead is 14"
and the power lead is 24" and has an inline 1 amp fuse. Both the antenna input
(female) and output (male) are Motorola plugs on 24" cables which may require
antenna adapters (depending on the vehicle).
Remote
Control
Wireless Remote Control: The
supplied wireless remote control allows you to switch between two video input
sources, make several picture adjustments using the on-screen display, and
assist with system setup. You can also control the optional Vizualogic Epik DVD player with
the remote (other brand DVD players can be controlled using their own remote
through the control module's IR repeater outputs). The dimensions of the remote, which requires 2 "AAA" batteries
(supplied), are Length=6.91", Width=2.36",
and Height=0.66".
