Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
I was looking for portable cans good enough to replace my D5000's. At the same time, I had the D5000s, A100's and D1100's. I found these to be nowhere near the sound quality offered by the D5000s. sound signature just felt wrong. the bass was much tighter than the messy D1100s, but was still much too heavy (even for music designed to emphasize bass). mids and highs were all better than the D1100s...but not better than the difference in price. and neither could touch the smooth, liquid feeling of the D5000 or D2000. In the end, I sent them back. I do think they were some of the best truly portable cans on the market, but I just didn't think they were worth the price. But even at their asking price, I probably would have kept them had they been better than the D5000/D2000. But they really weren't. So back they went. I give them 4 stars for being great portable cans. But they weren't what I was looking for.
