Good Bluetooth Earbuds
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
These Denon Exercise Freak Earbuds are good basic bluetooth earbuds. I have had two pair. First pair, the wire pulled out of the ear piece. My fault, don't catch the wire on anything, the wire will pull out easily (there is a warning about this in the manual), that pair lasted about two months. The second pair lasted about 18 months. The unit failed to accept a charge. Suspect the terminal became corroded (charge wire worked fine on other devices). I used the unit during indoor gym workouts, cardio and weights, and outdoors during various individual activities. Sound quality was good. The unit can be "pushed" into the ear canal but is uncomfortable. When worn like this it blocks other noise fairly well. I usually wore the unit resting on the ear canal, thus, noise would interfere. The unit would remain bluetooth connected for about twenty feet. Once beyond twenty feet If I moved the right ear piece toward the transmitting device it may pick up intermittently. Controls were easy to use and reliable. Microphone was effective for phone calls; always reliable. Rubber meets the road evaluation, I'm going to another brand because of it failing twice. I liked the Denon's but failure due to not taking a charge is disappointing.
Pros: Pleasant sound. Reliable on a daily basis. Comfortable if placed laying (not pushed in) on outside of ear canal.
Cons: Wire can be pulled from earpiece easily (clearly warned in the manual). Suspect charging terminal sensitive to corrosion.
