    Audio Features

High-Quality Construction: The Denon AVR-3312CI offers a minimum signal path design and direct mechanical ground construction, with independent power supplies for high-quality, audiophile-type sound.

    • Minimum Signal Path Design: The simple & straight design concept has been thoroughly implemented in the signal paths to contribute to clean audio and video playback. Signal paths are as short as possible to keep signal degradation in the audio and video circuitry to a minimum.
    • Direct Mechanical Ground Construction: Vibration-resistant construction has been used to suppress the adverse influences of vibration on sound quality. The power transformers, a source of vibration, have been securely mounted on the high rigid bottom chassis. Direct mounting of cast-iron feet to the radiator in near proximity to each other serves to suppress mutual vibration with the power transformers and other sources of vibration.
    • Independent Power Supplies: The Denon AVR-3312CI employs independent stable power supplies for high-quality sound and picture playback.
    • Vibration-Resistant Construction: The vibration-resistant construction thoroughly suppresses the adverse influences of vibration on sound quality, ensuring maximum audio performance.

Equal Power Amp Design: The Denon AVR-3312CI is equipped with a 7 channel power amplifier rated at 125-watts (into 8-ohms, at 20-20kHz, with 0.08% THD, driving 2 channels) that reproduces high-fidelity sound in surround mode with equal quality and power for all channels, true to the original sound. The power amplifier circuit adopts a discrete-circuit configuration that achieves high-quality surround sound reproduction. To faithfully reproduce the original surround sound, each of the Denon AVR-3312CI's seven channels are equipped with its own high-current power amp of equal power. Since these power amps also use discrete circuits configured with parts strictly selected for their contribution to high sound quality, rather than with low-cost integrated circuits (ICs), the surround sound playback is of impeccably high quality.

Amplifier Assignment: The AVR-3312CI supports up to 7.2 channels (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, and Dual SW) for surround playback defined by the Blu-ray disc format. The seven amplifier channels built into the receiver are typically used for 7.1 channel surround in the main room, but there are various amplifier configurations to accommodate your home theater setup:

    • Normal: The AVR-3312CI is designed to be used as a 7.2ch surround sound receiver with front left/right, center-channel, surround left/right, and surround back left/right channels along with dual preamp subwoofer outputs.
    • Bi-Amp: You can configure the amplifier for front bi-amp operation to achieve a higher-quality 2-channel sound by connecting the receiver's front and surround back channels to your main front speakers (if compatible). Receiver will be limited to 5.2ch surround.
    • Front B: A second set of front speakers can be powered by the surround back amplifier. Receiver will be limited to 5.2ch surround.
    • Front Height: To enjoy Dolby Pro Logic IIz you can reassign the power amp from the two surround back channels to the two front height channels for better front effects.
    • Front Wide: To enjoy Audyssey DSX you can reassign the power amp from the two surround back channels to the two front wide channels for better front effects.
    • Multi-Zone: The surround back channel amplifier can be assigned to power stereo speakers in Zone2 or Zone3; or the left channel can power a mono speaker in Zone2 and the right channel can power a mono speaker in Zone 3.

Note: If you hookup Surround Back, Front Height, and Front Wide speakers, the receiver will automatically switch between the speakers in accordance with the surround mode. These speakers will not all play at the same time.

Dual Subwoofer Outputs: An additional subwoofer output proves especially useful in large room settings where one subwoofer may not provide adequate low-frequency output.

Dual 24-bit/192-kHz DACs: This receiver is equipped with dual-differential AKM Semiconductor 24-bit/192-kHz (AK5358B) DACs per channel to decode and playback high-resolution recordings with less jitter and clearer sound.

Clock Jitter Reducer: The Denon AVR-3312CI employs a Clock Jitter Reducer to virtually eliminate jitter and produce a sound that is closer to the original soundtrack.

AL24 Plus Processing Technology: Denon's AL24 Processing Plus technology improves information volume in the time axis region using high-speed signal detection and processing technology. In addition to expanding original 16-bit data to 24 bits, AL24 Processing Plus uses data interpolation along the time axis (or up-converted sampling) to achieve natural interpolation without losing the original data. A digital filter is used to further expand adaptability and perform optimum filtering calculations for ringing-free pulse response, pulsive music data and attack sounds. The result is reproduction of such spatial information as the delicate nuances in your music, the positions of the performers, and the breadth, height, and depth of the concert hall.

Denon's proprietary Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit-HD: The Denon AVR-3312CI is equipped with the latest technology in surround audio performance, DDSC HD, featuring a high-speed 32-bit floating point DSP processor. All elements of the Surround Processor are optimized to the highest standards by the use of selected high performance and discrete components, particularly the A/D and D/A converters and the sophisticated DSP surround decoder.

High-Definition Audio Support: Fully compatible with current HD audio formats, the Denon AVR-3312CI A/V Receiver provides powerful, theater-quality surround sound. The Denon AVR-3312CI features support for Blu-ray high-resolution audio formats, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for a dynamic surround-sound listening experience. These formats play back sound with exceptional fidelity, providing a more realistic listening experience.

Surround Formats: This receiver incorporates a wide variety of surround modes to bring you maximum enjoyment from your audio and video software. The unit can be set to store the most recently selected surround mode for each input, so it is automatically activated each time the particular input is chosen. The surround modes include:

    Listening Modes Description
Stereo This is the mode for playing in 2-channel stereo; bass and treble can be adjusted and sound is output from the front left and right speakers, along with a connected subwoofer.
Direct In this mode the audio signal is played in its original form, without any surround or tone processing.
Pure Direct Like in Direct Mode, the audio signal is played in its original form, without any surround or tone processing. The display and analog video circuitry are also turned off to minimize the possibility of any noise being added to the signal.
Audyssey Dynamic Surround Expansion (DSX) Audyssey DSX adds front effect speakers to improve spatial sound reproduction. Starting with a 5.1 channel system, DSX adds front Wide and/or front Height channels for better sound staging (although both wide and height speakers can be added, only one pair is used at a time). DSX also applies Surround Envelopment Processing to enhance the blend between the front and surround channels.

Set the volume (+/-12dB) of the test tone to be the same when it is output from each speaker. And set the high-pass crossover frequency (40/60/80/90/100/110/120/150/200/250Hz) for each speaker.

Dynamic EQ: Audio engineers mix music and movie soundtracks at reference levels much louder than typical home listening levels. At lower volumes the human ear perceives sound differently; voices change, bass dissipates, and the surround effect becomes less enveloping. Dynamic EQ adjusts the frequency response curve based on volume to maintain consistent bass output, octave-to-octave balance, and surround impact, resulting in rich sound at any volume. You can set the Dynamic EQ to 0, 5, 10, or 15 dB.

Audyssey Dynamic Volume: Audyssey Dynamic Volume solves the problem of large variations in volume level between television programs, commercials, and between the soft and loud passages of movies. Dynamic Volume addresses the issue of commercials that are too loud and movie soundtracks with vast differences between soft and loud passages; the results are more intelligible dialogue, loud passages maintain impact, and soft whispers are heard clearly. When the volume level changes, Dynamic EQ also adjusts the frequency response to maintain sound quality. You can set the Dynamic Volume to Day (low), Evening (middle), Midnight (high), or off.

CINEMA EQ (Cinema Equalizer): The Cinema EQ function gently decreases the level of the extreme high frequencies, compensating for overly-bright sounding motion picture soundtracks. Select this function if the sound from the front speakers is too bright. This function only works in the Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic (including PL II, PL IIx, PL IIz), and DTS Neo:6 modes.

Restorer: Compressed audio formats such as MP3, WMA (Windows Media Audio), and MPEG-4 AAC reduce the amount of data by eliminating signal components that are hard for the human ear to hear. The Restorer function generates the signals eliminated upon compression, restoring the sound to conditions near those of the original sound before compression. It also corrects the sense of volume of the bass to obtain richer sound with compressed audio signals. You can choose from 4 settings:

    • Mode 1 (Restorer 64): Optimized mode for compressed sources with very weak highs.
    • Mode 2 (Restorer 96): Apply suitable bass & treble boost for all compressed sources.
    • Mode 3 (Restored HQ): Optimized mode for compressed sources with normal highs.
    • Off: Does not use Restored function.

Dynamic Range Compression (DRC): Motion picture soundtracks have tremendous dynamic range (the contrast between very soft and very loud sounds). For listening late at night, or whenever the maximum sound level is lower than usual, Compressing the dynamic range allows you to hear all of the sounds in the soundtrack with reduced dynamic range. DRC works when playing program sources recorded in Dolby Digital or DTS.

Tone Settings: You can independently adjust the system's overall Bass and Treble settings from -6 to +6 dB. You can also fade the sound from front to rear or vice-versa.

Bi-Amping Front Speakers: The Surround-Back speaker terminals can be reassigned and used along with the Front terminals to bi-amp the front speakers, providing improved bass and treble performance. When bi-amping the front speakers the receiver is limited to a 5.2ch speaker system in the main room.

Source Level: This function adjusts the playback level of the currently selected input source's audio input. Use this feature if there are differences in the input volume levels between different sources. You can correct the playback level of the audio input from -12 to +12dB.

Volume Setting: You can set a maximum volume level of 0, -10, or -20 dB to limit the receiver's total volume output. You can also specify a turn-on volume, from -80 to +18dB or Last (whatever the volume setting when the receiver was turned off).

Muting Level Adjustment: You can set the amount of attenuation for the audio muting circuit; -40dB or -20dB below current volume, or full mute (sound turned off entirely).

Assignable Digital Inputs: The AVR-3312CI features two optical digital (Toslink) inputs and two coaxial digital inputs. Each input can be assigned to any of the different input sources except Tuner.

Phono Input: The Denon AVR-3312CI is fitted with a Phono input (MM), so you can connect your turntable and listen to your vinyl records with high-quality sound.

Speaker Terminals: The receiver has binding post terminals for all speaker outputs (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, Front Wide L/R, and Front Height L/R). The binding posts can accept bare wire, pin connectors, and single banana plugs. The terminals are spaced too far apart for dual banana plugs. The collar surrounding the binding post terminals prevent the use of spade connectors.

Note: The receiver will accept speaker impedances of 6 to 16-ohm.

Multi-Channel Pre-Out: The A/V receiver features 7.2-channel pre-amp outputs (Front L/R, Center, Surround L/R, Surround Back L/R, and Dual Subs). for connection to external power amplifiers.

Headphones: When headphones are plugged into the full-size 1/4" jack on the front panel, all the speakers are automatically muted.

    Video Features

HDMI (v1.4) with Dual Outputs: With seven HDMI ver.1.4 inputs (6 rear/1 front), the AVR-3312CI allows you to route multiple high-definition devices--like game consoles and Blu-ray players--to your TV. It also allows you to connect all of your devices to your TV with a single HDMI cable (via its HDMI monitor output x 2), reducing cable clutter. The two HDMI outputs are parallel so the same video signal is output through both and can be used simultaneously. The HDMI inputs are assignable to different input sources. They support HDCP copyright protection and are compatible with 3D signals, ARC, Deep Color, xvYCC technology, Auto LipSync, and HDMI control.

Analog Video Inputs: The receiver features 5 composite video inputs (4 rear/1 front) and one composite video monitor output. There is also two component video inputs and one component video output (60MHz). In addition, there are two S-video inputs (DVR/Dock-Connector). The composite and S-video inputs can be output via composite, component, or HDMI. The component video input can be output via composite, component, or HDMI.

12-Bit i/P Converter and Scaler: The AVR-3312CI is equipped with a flexible video switching system that converts incoming video signals so only one video connection is required from the receiver to the TV. The 12-bit i/p converter and scaler (up to 1080p) provides multi-cadence detection for SD and HD video signals. This means 480i/480p (SD-quality) video signals of DVD programs and other materials input through receiver are scaled to 1080p signals, and output through the unit's HDMI monitor port to your HDTV. The converter and scaler can be turned off independently if you prefer.

    • Composite Video: In addition to being output via the composite video monitor output, composite video signals can be converted to component video (480i only) or HDMI (up to 1080p).
    • S-Video: S-Video signals can be converted to composite video (480i), component video (480i), or HDMI (up to 1080p). There is no S-Video monitor output.
    • Component Video: In addition to being output via the component video monitor output, component video signals can be converted to composite video (480i only) or HDMI (up to 1080p). Only 480i component video signal can be converted to composite video.
    • HDMI: Video signals input as HDMI must be output via HDMI (up to 1080p).

NSV (Noise Shaped Video): The NSV precision video feature works in the digital domain to reduce noise in the video signal frequency band in order to enhance video signal linearity, provide the most accurate signal representation, and enhance the picture quality. Noise shaping techniques can be combined with dynamic element matching techniques in order to reduce the matching requirements of DAC elements by converting the analog mismatch into out of band noise. This approach of dynamic element matching and noise shaping has been shown to allow the use of sigma delta modulation at video data rates. NSV is the only product on the market that can achieve ultimate precision with 12-bit fidelity in both digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital domains.

3D Pass-Through: With the advent of 3D media, it is important to own a receiver that recognizes 3D video signals. The AVR-3312CI is able to pass through 3D signals from your Blu-ray player, ensuring that the 3D effect doesn't get lost in translation. It also recognizes signals from 3D television broadcasts. By connecting a 3D-compliant Blu-ray disc player and 3D-compliant TV to the AVR-3312CI, you will have a 3D home theater where you can enjoy high-definition sound and video on a level you've never experienced before.

HDMI Standby-Through: When enabling the HDMI Standby-Through function, regardless of whether the AV receiver is "on" or in "standby" both audio and video streams from an HDMI input will be output to your television, via the receiver HDMI monitor output. You can select between 2 HDMI Through functions modes.

    • HDMI Input: Selects the HDMI Input (1-7) for which the HDMI Standby-Through function is enabled.
    • Last: The HDMI Standby-Through function is activated on the input source selected at the time of setting the AV receiver to the "standby" mode.

ARC (Audio Return Channel): This feature allows audio to be sent from your compatible HDTV to your receiver through the same HDMI cable already being used to send audio and video to your HDTV. This eliminates the need for extra cables connected to your television.

Deep Color & x.v.Color Support: The AVR-3312CI also supports Deep Color and x.v.Color content, which can display a larger color range than standard-definition schemes. The result is a more lifelike, vibrant picture

Auto LipSync: This feature automatically compensates for the timing shift between the audio and video of the receiver. If needed, the audio signal can be manually delayed to match the video signal; adjust from 0-200ms.

Video Select Function: You can switch the video input source on the receiver while listening to a different audio signal.

Video Mode: You can select between 3 video processing settings.

    • Auto: Processes video automatically based on the HDMI content information.
    • Game: Always processes video appropriate for gaming content.
    • Movie: Processes video normally.

Picture Adjust: You can adjust the picture quality for each video source; Contrast (+/-6), Brightness (0-12), Chroma Level (+/-6), Hue (+/-6), DNR (Low/Middle/High/Off), Enhancer (0-12).

    Works very well for me1!

Written By LANman, Dallas, TX area on Thursday, June 14, 2012

I've had excellent results with my Denon 3312. It serves as the centerpiece of my home theatre setup. I bought it for several reasons to replace an aging Yamaha receiver (that I also loved) that had no HDMI inputs. Having a Blu-ray player with analog outputs, the HDMI inputs were not really that big of a deal until I finally was able to purchase the front projector long planned for my setup.

In my arrangement, I watch a 67" Samsung RPTV for daytime/casual viewing and have an electric Da-Lite dual masking HP screen that drops down in front of the Samsung when I am ready for the full theatre experience (148" Cinemascope screen). I wanted to have a receiver that would allow seamless switching between the two output devices and the 3312 delivers completely. I had been told that the 4311 I had been considering prior to the release of the 3312 that even though it had dual monitor outputs, it would not easily switch between the two. The 3312 has an "auto" setting that the 4311 does not, and this handles the switching completely automatically with no input required at all on my part.

I also wanted to be able to buy a Blu-ray player in the future without analog outputs, as these are getting rarer all the time. It has simplified my setup cable wise, offers far better imaging with the Audessy setup and has allow realization of my dream to easily switch between a direct view and projector setup. I couldn't be happier...
    Pros:
Great sound, every feature I wanted, HD radio, Internet radio, dual monitor HDMI outputs, Audessy setup equalization, all digital audio format decoding, legacy phono input (yes, I still have a turntable) and upscaling of the few non-HD devices in my system to output everything over HDMI to my display devices.
    Cons:
Not the easiest component to set up with all the options it has. I don't think this is avoidable really given the sophistication of today's electronics and the virtually endless ways people may want to configure these things. It is a nice menu display system, but takes some time to get used to navigating properly. For those who object to no digital audio out on HDMI 1, I wonder is using HDMI 1 for the "remote" TV and HDMI 2 for the local one would resolve their issue?

    HDMI Audio Bug

Written By David, Bakersfield, CA on Wednesday, March 07, 2012
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought the A/V receiver for the dual HDMI outputs. The problem is that I want to choose how the audio is handled separately for each HDMI output channel. It won't let you. This is no good for my setup; a local TV room with surround sound using the Denon amp (cuts out audio signal for both HDMI outputs), and a remote TV using the TV speaker. This is really disappointing. I called Crutchfield tech support, they referred me to Denon tech support. Called them, they were no help. They didn't even want to log the issue as a future enhancement. I'm stuck with no audio on my second TV.

    A nice upgrade!

Written By Boilermaker, St. Petesrburg, FL on Saturday, January 28, 2012
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Just purchased this receiver before the Holidays to replace an 8 year old Onkyo. Wanted to move to HDMI, Airplay, go to multiple source/ multiple room audio and cut down on the mess of wires behind my components. Set up was fairly straight forward and have been pleased so far with the overall performance. My cable signal has caused pixilating on the TV for several years (Brighthouse is aware of problem but have not fixed) but now the audio is also dropping the sound level 10-15 db off and on during a broadcast. Not sure if this is an issue with the cable signal or with the receiver as it wasn't an issue with the previous receiver.
    Pros:
    1. Plenty of HDMI inputs. 2. Airplay 2. Good power 3. Fairly easy to set up and get started. 4. Speaker set up using the Audyssey system was straight forward as well.
    Cons:
    1. Will not play digital audio source to 2nd or 3rd room (at least through the HDMI connection) requires that you connect the analog audio as a source and another connection. 2. Remote is not intuitive - could be better designed

Not What I Expected from Denon

Written By Tim, Concord, NC on Saturday, December 03, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

As others have said Denon was a little bit ambitious in what this unit is actually capable of and needs some work. I am in the process of looking for a new receiver to replace my newly acquired Denon as it really does not live up to it's specs. Very disappointing and an expensive lesson.
    Pros:
I loved the fact that it would provide both Internet and HD Radio and with the quality and reliability that I have come to expect from Denon I thought it would be an excellent unit. It had enough inputs to handle all my other equipment and even allowed a little growing room for future upgrades and expansions.
    Cons:
The software that came with the system and the upgrade are both a little buggy. The sound is at best average and nothing to get overly excited about. I must admit I did not use the unit much for the first month or so that I had it because I was traveling but once I sat down to "play" with it things didn't work out so well.

    Good but needs work

Written By RonD, USA on Saturday, July 09, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I've owned a 3312ci for three weeks and mostly listen to open air Radio, Pandora, and watch movies.

Attached to the A/V is a Samsung TV, Sony Blu-ray player.

The sound is warm and clean. I really like the built in HD Radio.

I can listen to Pandora using either the Blu-ray player or the Denon A/V. Both have the option to display the artist and album on screen, a really cool feature. The Denon's display is rudimentary compared to the Sony. The font is archaic. It's almost like looking at an MS-DOS screen in today's world of MS Windows. The Sony has a very nice graphic color display.

Powering on the Denon to listen to radio, the radio will play for a few seconds and then the A/V will switch to TV. Denon support said I would have to disable the TV's HDMI AnyNet+ control, losing functionality to automatically power on the TV. I didn't have to disable AnyNet+ for any other device.

The remote is not designed well. The labels have cryptic meanings. There are a lot of hidden commands. Learning how to use the remote requires extensive reading of the manual. In today's age, we should be able to press either a help or a menu button to learn more about the commands instead of searching thru a 90 page PDF file.

The Denon's A/V amp won't handle a 4ohm load - good for a whole house speaker setup, but making the A/V's amp run hotter. A comparably priced Onkyo A/V weighs 15lbs more, most likely because it has larger heat sinks for better heat dissipation.

AVR-3312CI Great Sound - Buggy Software

Written By GregK, Wisconsin on Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Where it really counts, sound quality, the AVR-3312 is great. After that, many of the features are good in theory, but really need some work.

First, do a firmware update straight out of the box. It will help reduce your frustrations. I say reduce, because a good number of the problems still exist. As JeremyC pointed out, the system will often say "addressing network", which puts it into a near useless state as far as any streaming or network connectivity, this includes doing the firmware update. I found removing the ethernet cable and plugging it back in will allow you to see the firmware update availability, but only if you navigate to that area of the menu. My system did not recognize it had a firmware update until I forced it to check. Once I did the update the addressing network and a few other issues went away.

I also found running everything through the receiver via HDMI cables is not a real option for me. The issue is switching between sources it "fries", or at least I thought it did, my Samsung's HDMI ports, turning the picture pink and then static. This does not happen every-time and the good news is that unplugging the TV fixes the port. To be fair, it could also be the TV, but I'm using all the same sources as before and have never had an issue.

I'm conflicted about recommending this product to those who want full HDMI integration or want to use every feature the system offers. That might change though with a few more firmware updates...we'll see.

Nice featrues/sound and a few big flaws

Written By JeremyC, Houston, TX on Sunday, June 26, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Set up was a breeze and the sound quality is excellent. However, I am upset and frustrated for the same reason as an earlier reviewer: I wanted to output the audio/video to a second room via the HDMI monitor 2 output. For some reason Denon designed this receiver to output only video via the Monitor 2 output. Why would they go to the trouble to prevent audio from being output via the second monitor?? I'm also frustrated that the receiver assumes that since I have a separate sub in Zone 1 that I also have a sub in Zone 2. Therefore, the receiver only outputs the middle and higher frequencies to my second room. Perhaps there is a setup option to fix this but I haven't found it yet. Finally, The Airplay feature is temperamental. About half the time I activate the receiver via airplay, the receiver says "please wait - assigning network" and never is able to assign the network. Unplugging and plugging back in the ethernet cable is the only fix I've found.

In all, the receiver is great but the few bugs I've found have made my experience with the Denon 3312ci frustrating to say the least.

Dual HDMI Monitor & 3D Problems

Written By JohnC, Tucson AZ on Monday, June 20, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

There are three negative issues with this amp:

    1. I bought this because it handles 3D and because it has dual HDMI monitor output ports. I needed dual HDMI ports because I have an extra TV in the kitchen that receives HDMI thru an in-ceiling HDMI cable that cost me a lot to install. I was very disappointed to learn that the Denon amp does not permit sound output simultaneously thru the HDMIs and the amp. Since I want amp sound in the living room, I can't have sound in the kitchen! To solve this problem I had to run speaker wire to the kitchen to an in-ceiling speaker!

    2. The Denon amp DOES NOT permit 3D viewing on my 3D living room TV if both HDMI dual monitors are activated! When the dual HDMIs are activated, 3D viewing is impossible.

    3. There are no instructions in the manual on how to connect a PC to the amp with an HDMI cable. You would assume that you could connect a PC to any of the six HDMI inputs. You can ONLY connect a PC to the GAME 1 and Game 2 HDMI inputs! If you try to connect a PC to the other HDMI inputs, the screen goes blank. Additionally, dual HDMI monitor output does not work well when a PC is attached to the Game inputs. The video signal gets corrupted.

To solve problems 2 and 3, I had to connect all my HDMI devices directly to my TV, bypassing the amp completely. I can only use one HDMI output for the kitchen which now receives upconverted component signals! What a mess!

Everything else works great. Has good sound.

    DOUBLE WOW

Written By Ed, Roswell, Georgia on Saturday, June 18, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I second the first review. I have had 4 different receivers trying to find the "perfect" setup. I thought I had found my unit when I bought a Sony STR-D2010. Quit after a few weeks and was full of bugs. Researched the new DENON units and waited 4 weeks to receive this unit. WOW, does EVERYTHING I could possibly want. AIRPLAY, Internet Radio, Pandora, Rhapsody, HD Radio and more HD connections then I could ever use. Very easy setup. On another note, I have to thank the folks at Crutchfield for such spectacular customer service, allowing me to end up with this unit.
