Your home theater's music capabilities shouldn't be limited to your disc collection. Add digital and streaming music to the mix with the Denon AVR-S700W. With built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and AirPlay, this home theater receiver lets you stream tunes wirelessly from your smartphone, tablet, or computer. That's a lot of listening options in addition to the receiver's many physical connections — not to mention its ability to power up to 7.2 channels of rocking home theater fun.
If you've invested at all Apple's ecosystem — whether it be an iPhone®, iPad®, iPod touch®, or iTunes® on your computer — the AVR-S700W is a great match for you. Apple AirPlay makes this receiver an instant Apple-friendly receiver, so you can stream your digital tunes from these devices for wireless playback through your home theater speakers. There's also a front-panel USB port for plugging in your iPod, iPhone, or a USB memory device.
The free Denon Remote app for Apple, Android, and Kindle Fire lets you control the receiver with your smartphone or tablet.
The 'S700W isn't just for Apple fanatics. DLNA-compatibility lets you stream music from a Windows computer or music server. Plus, you can listen to Pandora, SiriusXM, or free internet radio streams using the receiver's remote and the full-color on-screen guide. If you're a Spotify premium subscriber, use the Spotify app on your smartphone or tablet to stream the popular music service's entire library through your receiver. Whether you're an Apple, Android™, or even a Kindle Fire user, you can control the receiver's primary functions with the free Denon Remote app.
There are outputs for seven speakers on the 'S700's back panel. You can connect all seven speakers in your main listening room for wall-shaking 7-channel home theater sound. Or, you can choose to assign the surround back channels to a second zone. That means you can connect an extra pair of stereo speakers in another room like a kitchen, bedroom, or out on a patio. Then, you can simultaneously listen to music in Zone 2 while a movie plays in 5.2-channel surround sound in the main zone.
Denon wants you to get this receiver up and running quickly, so you can start enjoying it. That's why they developed their setup assistant. It's a step-by-step guide for connecting your speakers and components. Just follow the easy on-screen instructions and you'll be enjoying your system before you know it. The setup assistant also employs Audyssey's room calibration, which uses an included microphone to optimize your speakers for your room setup. This ensures you get the best possible sound from your system.
Your receiver powers your speakers and lets you connect and select your entertainment sources. But a great receiver does a lot more it ignites your emotions. From the passion of a favorite musical artist, to the crossfire of a super-charged movie soundtrack, to the intensity and immersion of a fast-paced video game, your receiver is the key to experiencing and enjoying it in full.
A great choice of a product for being able to provide sound to renters of a beach house that each have their own music and devices. Also, the 2 zone allows for control of speaker volume in another room. At first no directions was a bad idea but once you connect it to a TV its better than reading 35 pages of stuff. Also, the help line at Denon is awesome. This guy Jose knew the equipment and technology so well that he fixed all kind of minor issues for me that had nothing to do with the equipment. I could not be more pleased with the product and the recommendation by Crutchfield as a solution for my audio needs in a summer rental property.
I've always admired Denon and recently decided to build a home theater system. I knew right away that this would be the system for me and I'm so glad we purchased it. There are many attributes to this model that make it shine, but the Spotify wireless connection is just awesome. No cords, awesome playback, it is just great. The Audyssey setup is killer and the sound is amazing. Buy it, you won't regret it.
Pros: Spotify Connect, Airplay, Bluetooth, Easy setup
Cons: None yet
A few months after I bought the receiver the LCD display stopped working. Denon's warranty requires You to pay to ship the unit to their facility for repair. That cost was about $80 for me. I received a factory refurbished unit as a replacement about six weeks later.
See the other reviews and note how many people are having problems with the display.
I was so excited when I bought this receiver about 7 months ago but then the wifi (accessing Airplay, Bluetooth, pandora, etc) went out on it and we could not reconnect. Crutchfield techs couldn't figure it out either and then when we called Denon, they admitted that they couldn't fix or figure it out and that the receiver would need to be sent to an "authorized dealer" to repair it. Then they informed us that we would have to pay to ship it down to the authorized dealer per their warranty. They would repair and ship back But I should not be having to pay a Cent to fix a product that is less than one year old! It is a big enough inconvenience that I will not have the receiver while repairs are being made but to ask me to pay is really an insult. I have a friend who also bought this receiver and is having HDMI issues.
Denon used to have a great rep. I would not trust or buy anything from them now. Don't be seduced by the marketing that makes this receiver sound so great! I am deeply disappointed! The reason that I did not give it one start is that the rest of the receiver is working.
We wanted to be able to use our wired in patio speakers so needed a until that could handle dual zone, this has not only done that but simplified our home theater set up. As an added bonus it has Apple air play so it's really easy to play music from our iOS devices.
Pros: Easy set up. Wireless internet connectivity.
Cons: Can' think of any.
I was recommended a Denon when thinking about building my sound system. I purchased the Denon S700 and couldn't be happier. The receiver does everything I need it to and nothing I don't. Audyssey makes setting the speakers and sub up a breeze. Receiver looks nice too.
Pros: Great sound Good price point Audyssey makes set up a breeze
Cons: Wish it had more HDMI outputs (the 900 has 2 I believe)
Pros: Simple set up
Cons: None found yet.
Great receiver for the money. Nice upgrade from my previous model. Loved the easy setup via the on screen process.
Pros: Ease of setup via the on screen process. Simplified buttons and selections on the remote. Great sound.
Cons: Other than the Bluetooth pairing issue, really none.
This receiver is simply fantastic. It handles my complete surround sound and speakers outside with excellent performance. I replaced a much more expensive product with this and I wish I would have purchased this first.
Pros: Multi zone, complete control and set up with remote. Excellent value
Excellent sound and options for the money! You won't be bringing down the house, its only 75 watts per channel, but its loud enough to have my wife telling me to lower the volume. Makes my B&W's come alive and I love the fact that it sync's up with my iPhone and plays songs off of it via Bluetooth. This unit replaced a Yamaha which was more powerful, however was 10 years old and started to crap out on me to the point I couldn't have it on for more than 10 minutes.
Pros: Easy setup, clean sound, many HDMI inputs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, just so much for the money.
Cons: It doesn't bring me a beer on command.
Great product and excellent bang for my money. Solid construction and easy to setup my home theater speakers. The Audyssey speaker calibration has a really really good precision. All the features are amazing. Now I can stream all my playlist over my wifi network without any issue (at the moment). I replaced my old Onkyo AV receiver and believe me, Denon surprised me on how my speakers sounds with it. Now I listen more sound details. 10/10
Cons: Require a TV or monitor to use the "easy setup" feature.
great product, great value. not as intuitive to setup as I would have expected but it is a sophisticated piece of hardware able to interface with wireless technology seamlessly. we enjoy the fact we can send music from our blue tooth enabled devices to the terrific speakers this unit drives.
This integrates really well with my new Samsung TV, as well as my Apple TV, FiOS cable, DVD - as well as all my music from my Apple environment. Mostly, I use Spotify and found everything easy to manage through my iPhone as the main controller (never need to use the remote). It powers my Bose Acoustimass speakers very well with no discernible distortion at higher volumes. I have not yet used the Audyssy mic to calibrate the speakers, but it sounded excellent from the initial setup. The product was recommended by a phone sales support tech from Crutchfield, and it after listening to my needs, this was (no surprise) exactly what I needed.
Pros: Really great setup via TV. Great App for iOS.
Cons: I wish there were legacy video inputs for my old wii's analog connections, but at least my TV does. The pairing with bluetooth took 5-6 tries, but now works. Still having some issues with using Airplay. It's not as "native" feeling as, say, and airport express.
It has been a while since I made any updates or acquired any components and this unit shows that much has changed in the years since. First, it does exactly what I needed it to do, listen to audio in a second zone apart from the audio in the main zone, or listen to the same signal in both zones. Two separate volume controls ensure the right listening level in each zone. And oh!, the additon of Apple AirPlay, internet radio, WiFi, etc., etc., etc., has mesmerized me. Not sure what is more amazing, the advances in tuners or the delay in updating my sound system.
Pros: A number of very conveninet features. Two-zone listening.
Cons: The 250-page downloadble user's manual.
wonderful receiver. mostly use it for dvd movies and music (via the usb port). the 7.2 channels are great. haven't yet found the ideal surround sound processor that works best for the movies i have.
Pros: plenty of power. the number of sound processor choices, several dolby digital and dts options. highly recommended
Cons: no manual
Excellent unit for the price, at least for my modest needs. Setup was easy including speaker calibration. USB port in front accepts lossless codecs as advertised. Built in Apple Air port is convenient.
Sound is a modest but discernible improvement on my old Onkyo AVR.
HDMI ports more than enough for me, but competitors have more.
If you need to punish yourself for some past-life sin, try reading the endless user manual (online only) from start to end. You may begin hallucinating or speaking in tongues. But you will be no more informed regarding your new receiver.
Play with the set up button on your remote- that is the easiest way to figure out what you need to do. Make one change at a time and work through the effect.
Pros: Functionality for the price Build quality and small profile Wifi implementation Intuitiveness of operations Apple product friendliness
Cons: Bluetooth has been a hit or miss affair, but that may be particular to my setup Documentation is stultifying and useless. For example, you need to experiment to find out which change you made to settings that made the TV stop operating when the receiver is turned off. If you decide to download a remote from the Apple app store, I recommend you buy the $5 third party product instead of the free Denon app.
The reason I give 4 start is I wasn't all that happy with the Sound Audicy (sp?) setup. I ended up modifing the settings manually. It kept setting my speakers as large, which wouldn't be a problem, except that turns off the sub channel. Also, I had a difficult time getting it to agree that I don't have a center or rear channels. I'm just using this amp for music (specifically air tunes).
I had quite a bit of trouble getting air tunes to work over WiFi (I have another Denon amp that is wired that works rock solid). However, after a Firmware upgrade on the amp and WiFi AP, it appears to be more stable.
It has plenty of power for what I'm looking for, features and sound quality. I actually am pretty happy with it and would buy again.
Pros: Air Tunes, WiFi and sound quality
Cons: Not the most user friendly with setup, but the Crutchfield team was great support. (BTW, I'm a computer software engineer...)
I received this receiver in the mail today from Crutchfield and had it hooked up very quickly. I must say that I'm throughly impressed with it. My last receiver was a Yamaha and this receiver for half the cost of my Yamaha is an unbelievable bargain at the $449 price. They left no stone unturned when they built this receiver. The wireless is seamless and the AirPlay connected right away. This receiver really brought my speakers alive. I have Polk ceiling speakers in my house and they sound amazing with this receiver. This is the first time I have ever bought anything from Denon before but definitely won't be the last. I highly recommend this receiver!!!
Pros: Ease of set-up. Sound quality it puts out. Wireless and AirPlay seamless. The calibration of my speakers was spot on.
Cons: None that I have found.
We had a receiver that was about 8 years old. Before we bought this receiver, we went to a local retailer and talked to a knowledgeable salesman. He highly recommended this unit because of the ease of setup. We decided to buy it from Crutchfield because of their high ratings. The unit was delivered in two days. The setup was specific and easy to follow. The sound quality is amazing and with the Bluetooth setup, we can listen to the music on our IPad. Even though there was no manual, we found it on line and printed it (250 pages). Being that we are not very educated in setting up receivers, we were able to complete the task.
Pros: Easy set up; numerous features. Excellent customer support from Crutchfield.
Cons: Could not pair our IPad with the receiver so called the manufacturer.Tech support walked us through their trouble shooting and determined there was a problem with the Bluetooth. They said they would split the shipping with us to send it to New York for repair. We did not have the receiver for two weeks when we experienced this problem so we were not happy with this arrangement. We called Crutchfield and they sent us a replacement unit and sent us prepaid mailing label to return the defective unit.
For a decade I had a "nice" mid-priced receiver. Never could make it produce awesome sound I always wanted great sound, and now I can have it.
I matched this receiver with the Klipsch Reference RC-62 II (center channel speaker), the Klipsch CDT-3650-C-II (in-wall/ceiling speakers), Klipsch Reference RB-61 II (bookshelf speakers), and a Klipsch R110SW subwoofer. I am still learning how to program the speakers and receiver, but I am confident that this receiver and these speakers will do everything that I can ask them to do.
The only downside is size. You really need a lot of space. Check out the dimensions and make certain that you have enough space.
So far the performance and ease of set up is top notch. Theater 5.1 sound is great. However, Apple air-play does not work on Zone 2 output. I had planned and did hook up my backyard outdoor Bose speakers to the Zone 2 output thinking I could play the music from my Iphone in my pocket while in the backyard far from the house-- Not so, which was disappointing. Also, since my old DVD-VCR combo was still in the cabinet I went ahead and hooked it up as well only to find out the receiver would not output that non -HD signal through the HDMI, which was a problem because I had already pulled out the old style A/V cables. Perhaps that's my bad. The Denon remote app works great!! Overall I still think this unit is the bomb for the money.
Pros: Easy set up, denon remote app, very good theater sound.
Cons: apple air play does not work on Zone 2 output.
easy set-up, great sound
Pros: easy set-up, great sound
Cons: no up conversion
I've had Pioneer Elites, Onkyos, and Sony ES', but this little simple receiver is my favorite so far. Not many frills, but performs excellently and at a bargain price point! My only complaints: (1) the on-screen display for volume, etc does not work on the two 5K inputs. (2) the audio for the 2nd zone (if you are using a 2nd zone) must come from old school RCA (it can not use digital for audio). But neither of those would stop me from recommending to a friend. Awesome receiver.
Pros: - Awesome microphone assisted setup that actually works. - Simple to operate for family members - WiFi control via app - Very low amount of heat generated (cool to the touch)
Cons: - OnScreen volume does not work on 5K inputs - 2nd Zone cannot use digital audio source for its input
I am partial to Yamaha's, but have also had Pioneer. I decided to try this Denon, as it had everything I needed and at the right price. Unfortunately the Bluetooth function worked too well. It would turn on the receiver whenever my phone was around. I would be watching the TV and it would switch on it's own to Bluetooth. I have my Directv connected to the Denon and out to TV (all HDMI) and one time the signal was coming in scrambled. I guess I got a defective one. I also didn't like the setup screens, they looked pretty basic. So decided to return and try an Onkyo.
Pros: A lot of options and great price.
Cons: Bluetooth problems, scrambled signal and screen setup pretty weak.
Having retired my old surround system, I have to say how completely thrilled I am with my new Denon Purchase. Paired with Polk TSI Bookshelf speakers and Polk Center and Polk OMW Surrounds, my Blu Rays have never sounded better and more realistic. Its like you're in the middle of the firefight with the zombie horde!! The ability to run all of your HDMI connections through the Denon and one single HDMI to my TV has been a world of change and convenience just for routing cables through my Entertainment center. HDMI Passthrough is awesome as well so that I'm not waking up the house as I watch tv after the family has gone to bed. Apple Airplay is seamless and easy to connect, although the sharpness is not as good as ruynning though Apple TV. (Might just be user error though). Crutchfield has been simply amazing with their customer service and tech support in getting everything tweaked to hear its max potential. I will always be a loyal fan
Pros: Ease of Use and setup. Speaker Calibration takes the guesswork out of things.
Cons: Picture not as sharp running through receiver as it is through Apple TV
This receiver kicks some serious butt! Great features, great price. Setup was a breeze. My old receiver was a Yamaha that was 10 years old and did not have any HDMI ports. Read a lot of reviews and had narrowed my choices down to this Denon, a similar Sony product, and a similar Yamaha product. Have owned some Denon components in the past and have never been disappointed. The thing that sold me on the Denon was it was on sale. You can't touch any other receiver with the Denon's features at the same price point.
Pros: Great value, plenty of features, ease of setup.
Cons: None so far.
So far, so good. It has been 3 weeks and everything sounds great! Easy hook-up and very thankful for tech support finding me a unit that handled the Vienna Acoustic 4 ohm speakers.
I love this unit. I use the USB port so I can play all my music on the USB drive. I have not used a lot of the functions yet. but it is a very nice unit, and the Crutchfield team has very good support.
Setup was very easy and the options for growth is awesome. This is alot of reciever for the price. I upgraded my old 5.1system to this and I couldnt be happier.
Pros: Easy setup, great reciever for the money, lots of options
Cons: No manual included but have the option to download.
I am using this as a stereo unit with 2 speakers and a sub woofer. I am playing CD's and my I Pod through both the bluetooth and USB ports. I love the on screen display for the I Pod on both of these. If you don't want to print the instructions, you can search them on line by clicking on the contents screen and it will take you directly to the item you are looking for. You do not have to sort through the pages to get where you want to go. Obviously I am not using all the features the receiver offers, but my B & W speakers never sounded so good.
Pros: Bluetooth and USB for my I Pod with restorer. On screen display and source rename. Many other options that I haven't tried yet.
Prompt free shipping and easy step by step set up. What's not to like?
Pros: I've moved into the modern age with my new receiver.
A solid unit but I wouldn't buy again because: 1) No users guide is furnished. You have to go to the web and download and print 250 pages. 2) Not able to pair with the Directv DVR so I can't control the volume on the unit from the Directv remote. Multiple remotes are a pain.
Cons: No users guide Not able to pair with Directv
After running the Audyssey microphone setup the sound to the speakers is very "smooth" and "full" compared to my previous receiver. The sound is amazing through my large Polk 7.1 speaker system.
Pros: Easy to setup, terrific sound, nice Android App.
Cons: Found the subwoofer during setup with microphone, but after setup had no sound through the sub. Had to change the input on the sub and in the Denon speaker setup.
Easy to expert setup interface with everything in my system. Using 5,1 setup with zone 2 on the patio. Using Klipsch F20, C20 & SW350. Sony blurerayMarantz TT42P turntable & Sharp 65 inch led HD TV. TV mounted high on the wall to allow theater seating for up to 10 people. Xbox looks & sounds great. Can put the treadmill in the middle of the room for the Wii connect exercise apps (more fun than you'd think) Very happy with the results. Still have space to expand the system
Pros: Fairly easy setup More than enough hook ups Lots of control features
Cons: None to speak of at this time.
My old receiver was about 10 years old and I can't believe all the new features that are available now. This Denon has them all! It was so simple to setup and calibrate the speakers. I would recommend this receiver to anyone. It's a great value as well!
Pros: Plenty of HDMI inputs, WiFi, internet radio, HDMI pass-thru, easy setup
Cons: Not as powerful as I had hoped, a big difference in sound volume between sources.
I'll start by saying that this is an excellent receiver with very few faults, if any. In this price range, you'd be hard pressed to find one better with as many features as it has in addition to excellent audio performance. Support for tons of codecs, all the bells and whistles you could want including Bluetooth, Wifi control (the smartphone app works really well though the UI could use a slight bit of work). I've tested it with an Xbox One, Xbox 360, a PC (detects DTS-MA, Dolby TrueHD etc. just fine with all of them), a Chromecast, my cable box etc. The Audyssey room calibration system is way better than DCAC on Sony's receivers and Yamaha's YPAO - setting up your speakers in all your oddly shaped rooms is made very easy. I did not check the Airplay feature, Zone 2 and Spotify Connect, but I know for sure that everything else works great! Just make sure you turn HDMI passthrough on so that you don't end up with no output to the TV when you switch the receiver off.
I went this after weeks of research and feel extremely happy with my decision having used this for a couple weeks now. My other choice was going to be a Sony STR-DH750, but a simple comparison of the power supply specs in the manual for the Sony and Denon will show you which one can actually drive as much as it claims to drive.
Also, on the one occasion (BT related issue) I had to deal with customer support from Denon, they were really nice and very knowledgeable.
Pros: Very good audio performance, comfortably drives my Monoprice 5.1 set (the 10565, amazing set for the price) with no distortion. You can combine audio sources playing with different video sources going to the TV (eg. Bluetooth audio playing + Xbox game video to TV). Bluetooth connects automatically to a paired phone (once you get it set up right) when the phone's in the room and you turn BT on on the phone. This may become annoying to some folks. Audyssey (even Bronze) makes setup a breeze!
Cons: Only 2 of the HDMI ports on the back of the receiver are 4K capable. Not a big deal. Do your firmware update first, don't wait till you set everything up because the firmware update resets every single thing on your receiver. Bluetooth was a lot of trouble to set up and the receiver would stop connecting to bluetooth phones and devices after a while and never reconnect until I removed the power cable and booted the receiver back up again. This somehow solved itself after a couple factory reset
I had my previous receiver for 12 yrs, before some ports became inoperable. I did a fair amount of research before purchasing the Denon AVR S700W. I am very pleased with this receiver. I specifically wanted a receiver that had great sound, 4 or more hdmi ports, both bluetooth and internet connectivity, and option for a second zone. The Denon fulfills these criteria, and more. Setting up the receiver was very easy.
The excitement was burning in me waiting to get the newest model on the Street. Like getting a new car with that fresh smell. Opening the box of the Denon AVR-S700W. It was like Christmas in July. The 6 video inputs is great this will allow me to expand my equipment on my TV. The Denon AVR-S7000W is a beast of an A/V receiver that has almost everything you can ask for including built-in Wi-Fi for listening to music from a networked PC, music server, internet radio, and music services like Spotify Connect, Pandora, and SiriusXM. As a first time A/V owner I cant really compare it to anything else. But I am looking forward to using it to its fullest. All the features it has to offer are exciting and it will be one hell of a time enjoying it. Don't wait to long otherwise you will miss out on all the enjoyment it has to offer
Last thing I forgot about this Also includes Apple AirPlay for streaming music from any apple products running iTunes and as well all know
THE PRICE ONLY 449.99 WITH FREE SHIPPING. WHAT A GREAT (LATE) FATHERS DAY PRESENT FROM MY FAMILY.
Pros: Simple, all of it. lookat at all these points. Cons: None at this time. But as we all know someone will come up with something.

This discrete amplifier design delivers optimum realism and stunning dynamic range. By using high current, high power discrete power devices, the amplifier is able to easily drive high quality speakers. Yes, both zones work independently of each other. I quite frequently watch TV in 5.1 surround in the main zone while listening to another source outside on the patio which I have hooked up to zone 2. [ JOSEPH Mar 04, 2015 ]
Yes to your first question, no to your second. Zone two does not have the ability to pass hdmi. I am still working to figure out a workaround, let me know if you do. [ PHILIP Mar 04, 2015 ]
I'm not an expert on this, it is covered in the user manual. I think zone 2 can have a separate output. Don't know about the TV input, but I don't see why not. [ CARL Mar 03, 2015 ]
Yes you can listen to same music through zone 1 and 2. You can also play have 2 different audio sources playing at the same time. For example you can have the surround on for a movie and listen to Pandora in zone two. You do not need an outside source to calibrate this unit, it is very intuitive and it also comes with an app for your iPad and iPhone. [ PHILIP Feb 12, 2015 ]
yes you can tie all zones to output at the same time. Suggestion i used was to use the DTS NEO codec. it will allow you to output audio to all the speakers at once. So a 2 channel audio source like ipad can output to all the speakers. [ TONY Feb 11, 2015 ]
Sure you can. No you can easily do it yourself, just plan on spending a few minutes reading the manual and getting everything just right. Its well worth it not to spend the dough and be frustrated after taking shortcuts. [ Colleen Feb 02, 2015 ]
Sorry i do not have the Denon unit. I sent it back and got the ONYKO unit which has more power. [ JEROME L Jan 31, 2015 ]
I don't know I don't use any Apple products works fine with Android and samsung [ JOHN K Jan 31, 2015 ]
Yes, of course, but you will need to take this into consideration when hooking things up making sure to utilize the HDMI pass through capability of this receiver, and you will also need to toggle the TV speakers on/off each time. [ John J. Jan 03, 2015 ]
Hello Vanessa, It is true that I purchased the Denon Receiver earlier this year. However, upon receiving it, I determined that I wanted a higher powered Receiver and returned the Denon to Crutchfield in exchange for a Onkyo 110 watt receiver. I can answer your question using my experience with the Onkyo. I hooked my receiver to a cable box and connected the 5 speakers directly to the Onyko. To my knowledge there in no way to silence the 5 external speakers and just use the TV speakers because you have to have the receiver powered up to play the TV. Sorry I couldn't provide a solution. [ JEROME L Dec 29, 2014 ]
Yes, there is a HDMI PassThrough setting that when enabled transmits an HDMI input through the unit when it is in standby mode. You can also set the input source for HDMI PassThrough. In your case, you could set the Pass Source to Cable. [ MICHAEL Dec 29, 2014 ]
Yes I'm able to use either the SS or TV spealers [ JACK Dec 28, 2014 ]
sure. It even has 2 zones so you can listen elsewhere while using your tv speakers nice unit [ ROBERT Dec 27, 2014 ]
Yes. [ GREG Dec 27, 2014 ]
Yes it is a feature that allows you connect the cable box to the cabl/sat input, when the receiver is powered on you get surround, with the power off the signal for audio is not stripped away, the HDMI signal is passed through to the TV. It's covered in the manual. Best regards, Carl [ CARL Dec 27, 2014 ]
all speakers should be hookup to the receiver the auto return wil turn off the sourrounds [ RONALD Dec 26, 2014 ]
no it don't upscale you can go into denons website for the manual [ RONALD Nov 10, 2014 ]
So far we have only used Blu Ray discs and we haven't yet used a standard definition disc. Sorry that we can't speak from experience as of yet. We will be using some standard definition disc, but not yet. [ ALAN P Nov 10, 2014 ]
No. I have realized that you can use a Smart DVD player to have a Smart TV. Maybe not so convenient.I would think the TV would be a more newer model. Good Luck, Dan [ DAN Aug 06, 2014 ]
I always thought of "smart TV" as synonymous with built-in WiFi. So, not sure exactly what you are asking. If you mean streaming content from something like a Roku box, all you need for the TV is an input for HDMI or even RCA inputs. [ DARREN Aug 04, 2014 ]
