Construction: The DCD-CX3's
vibration-resistant chassis features independent power supplies for the analog
and digital sections, including separate power transformers for each,
eliminating interference for the widest possible dynamic range and musical
DAC: Denon's top grade D/A conversion stage features their
exclusive AL24 Processing.
Disc Compatibility: The
Denon DCD-CX3 Single Disc CD Player can play CD, SACD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs,
12cm and 8cm.
MP3/WMA Playback: The DCD-CX3 plays MP3 and WMA files
recorded on CD-R or CD-RW discs. MP3 bitrates from 32-320 kbps and WMA bitrates
from 64-160 kbps are supported and file names appear in the 8-character display.
Gold Plated Outputs: The CD player features gold plated
machined brass outputs in order to offer the best connection for your system.
The terminals are chassis-mounted so they can take the strain of audiophile
Pure Direct: For the best sound quality using the analog
outputs, the Pure Direct mode turns off the digital outputs and the display to
minimize the possibility of interference.
Wireless Remote Control: In addition the unit's from panel controls,
the single CD player comes supplied with a dedicated full-feature IR wireless remote control
for easy operation of the DCD-CX3.
Playback Options: The DCD-CX3
provides the following options for disc playback:
- Direct Search:
enter the track number on the remote control to play the desired track
- Track Skip: skip to the
next or previous track or the beginning of the current track
- Forward/Reverse Search: search within the current track,
forward or backward
- Folder Skip: skip to the next or previous folder when
playing MP3 or WMA files
- Repeat Play:
repeat a single track or the entire disc; random and programmed playback can
also be repeated
- Random Play: play
all tracks of the disc in random order
- Program Play: play tracks in a specific sequence; up to
20 tracks can be programmed
Digital Outputs: Two digital
outputs, one optical (Toslink) and one coaxial (RCA), are provided for sending
signal to the digital input terminals of a receiver, outboard D/A converter, or
digital audio recorder.
Analog Output: The CD player
also features a stereo RCA output for analog connection.
