If you want Audiobahn performance in a smaller package, check out the Intake series amps! A built-in air intake and a cooling fan ensures that these compact workhorses will stay cool through hours of heavy use. The 2-channel A4002T pumps out 100 watts RMS per channel of MOSFET-fueled Class AB power to your speakers, or 400 watts in bridged mode for your subwoofer.

You get the precise sonic control that you expect from Audiobahn. Variable high- and low-pass crossovers trim unwanted frequencies to adapt the amp for a variety of applications. You can improve the efficiency of your speaker system by adjusting the subsonic filter (variable from 20 to 50 Hz) to block low frequencies that your speakers can't reproduce. Switch on the bass boost to bring on a bass-quake!

Like to be in control? The optional remote-mount digital voltmeter lets you keep an eye on power levels from the driver's seat, while the optional wired remote bass boost provides variable control over your low-frequency punch.

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

great power for the price

i have this little amp hooked up to my front infinity kappa 62.5i speakers. this thing makes them scream. excellent highs with the hpf on, great clarity and no distortion. it was too much for the speakers though, i had it cranked for about 45 minutes straight and something went out on them, so i have to replace them now. but with this amp and the a8002 next to it on my backseat makes the back of my rodeo look great. the lights make the entire cargo area glow the cobalt blue. plus the polished finish really looks nice. its a great little amp, but be careful if youre not hooking up subs, make sure your speakers can handle the power.

Best amp I have used

Written by: Russell from Vancouver, Washington on May 22, 2005

This amp replaced a MTX 404 that I have hooked-up to two Alpine type E's, in a ported Q-logic box. I drive a 95 camry and still can't get over the fact I have the gain set to about 35% to 25% and I can shake my car while listening to drum and bass with my sony deck set to -8db on the sub output and 25 on the volume. The first road trip that I took my ears were ringing for 3 days. If you buy this amp do us all a favor and buy some sound damping so I don't here that annoying rattle two block away. ;)

OH! .........MY ACHING HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody who has a problem with this amp. clearly has a weak link somewhere else. 400 watts? no way! This little marvell is 600 w easy bridged. This is THE best $200 amp. i've ever used in an installation.I install a lot of car audio as a side job. I was so impressed, I baught one for myself. The sub sonic filter gets rid of those annoying frequencies you can't hear anyway, that just distort the audible frequencies. I was amazed at the correctness of the cut off of the crossover circuit. An 18 db crossover slope is clearly superior to 12 . A word of caution though.Do not buy a sub capable of less than 400w continuous. This amp will kill them!
