Class A/B MOSFET Power Amplifier:
The Audiobahn A6004T
is a Class A/B amplifier that uses MOSFET high-speed switching devices for its amplification stage
and power supply.
High-gloss Chrome-plated Finish:
This amplifier has a high-gloss chrome-plated finish. A
pair of white cotton gloves is included with the amplifier to prevent
fingerprint smudges when handling and mounting the amp.
Cooling Fan: This amp has a built-in air intake and a cooling fan on top, ensuring
cool, reliable operation.
Variable Subsonic Filter: The
subsonic filter (variable from 20Hz to 50Hz) allows the amplifier to block
ultra-low frequencies that your speakers can't reproduce, improving the efficiency
of your speaker system. The front (1 & 2) and rear (3 & 4) channels have
independent subsonic filters. No slope information is given for the subsonic filter.
Internal Crossovers: The front
and rear channels have separate crossovers. Each crossover can be independently
set for low-pass, high-pass, or full-range operation.
In low-pass mode, the crossover is adjustable from 50Hz to 120Hz. In
high-pass mode, the crossover is adjustable from 50Hz to 750Hz. In both modes,
the crossover has a slope of
18dB/octave.
Bass Boost: The front and rear
channels each have a bass boost switch which allows you to select a +18dB gain in bass output, centered at 50Hz. If you connect the optional ABR-100T remote bass boost control
(item # 037ABR100T),
the gain is adjustable from 0dB to +18dB.
Soft-Start Circuitry: The
amplifier automatically turns on a few seconds after you turn your vehicle's
ignition switch to ACC or ON. This eliminates the potentially damaging loud
"thump" when multiple components power up simultaneously.
Optional Digital Voltmeter:
This amp can be used with an the optional ADM-100T remote-mount digital voltmeter
(item # 037ADM100T).
Protection Circuitry: This amp
has 4-way protection circuitry, and will automatically shut down when it detects
one of the following conditions: excessive heat (+158°F), input overload, short circuit,
or DC offset. The protection LED will glow to indicate a problem that needs to be rectified.
Inputs and Outputs
Notes
Set-Screw Terminals: The A6004T
is equipped with nickel-plated set-screw terminals for power and ground that can
accept up to 4-gauge bare wire. The remote turn-on and the speaker output
set-screw terminals can accept up to 8-gauge bare wire. Two Allen wrenches (3mm
for power/ground and 2.5mm for remote turn-on and speakers) are supplied to
tighten/loosen the set screws.
Line Outputs: The line outputs
can be used to feed signals to another amplifier without having to split the
signal or use Y-adapters. They are not affected by the built-in low-pass or
high-pass filters.
Speaker-Level Inputs: Using the
supplied speaker-level input harness, you can connect the amplifier to all 4
channels of a
receiver or factory radio without preamp outputs. You will need to splice the
receiver/radio's speaker wires to the harness, then simply plug the harness into
the 5-pin high-input jack on the amplifier. Note: For 4-channel speaker
level inputs, the 4 positive speaker leads and chassis ground are connected to
the 5-wire harness.
DVM/Remote: Two female RJ-11
telephone-type jacks are provided for the optional Audiobahn ADM-100T remote-mount
digital voltmeter and the ABR-100T remote bass boost control.
