If you want Audiobahn performance in a smaller package, check out the Intake series amps! A built-in air intake and a cooling fan ensures that these compact workhorses will stay cool through hours of heavy use. The 4-channel A6004T pumps out 75 watts RMS of MOSFET-fueled Class AB power to four speakers, or 300 watts x 2 in bridged mode — perfect for a pair of subs.

You get the precise sonic control that you expect from Audiobahn. Variable high- and low-pass crossovers trim unwanted frequencies to adapt the amp for a variety of applications. You can improve the efficiency of your speaker system by adjusting the subsonic filter (variable from 20 to 50 Hz) to block low frequencies that your speakers can't reproduce. Switch on the bass boost to bring on a bass-quake!

Like to be in control? The optional remote-mount digital voltmeter lets you keep an eye on power levels from the driver's seat, while the optional wired remote bass boost provides variable control over your low-frequency punch.

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?

You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.

I love this amp! for those that have problems with the cooling fan mine has been working fine with no problems. I have had this amp for about 6 months now and I pound it. I have it hooked up to 2 5" boston acustic speakers and 2 6" boston acustic component front speakers. I have a honda CRV-EX and the sound is amazing!!

Overall it's a pretty nice amp. The sound quality is great and it has lots of features. However it overheats after about 30min and makes it impossible to listen to music on the drive home from college. Therefore I'm now looking for a new amp.

This is a pretty good amp. I have two Audiobahn amps. Only problem I see in both of my amps is that they shut off after about an hour and a half of being on. They look great and they're definately worth the money. They are a little hard to keep clean with the chrome finish too. The blue illumination is great and lights up my trunk nice. Eventhough they have cooling fans in them they still get very hot. Overall theyre great amps they just don't like being pumped too hard for too long.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is my first amp purchase and I could not be happier. The instructions could be better but technical support made it happen. My sales advisor presented several options to me and after listening locally, I selected this product. This amp brings my Infinity Kappas alive, wow!

Awesome Amplifier!

This amp is amazing! I have had it for over a year and couldn't be happier. It has more power than I'll ever need, perfect clarity, and an unbelievable frequency range. The specs on this thing are awesome, and unlike some cheaper competitors, it performs every bit as well as it claims. I installed it and was instantly astounded by the clarity of sound. Its better than my home system, and it gave my Sony Xplode 6x9s more life than I had ever known. About a month later I added an 8" Fosgate Punch. I don't need much rumble; I just wanted to fill out the bottom end a bit. I put the 6x9s on high pass and never looked back. If you are powering a sub like me, I highly recommend the remote bass boost. Some people complain about having to use a screwdriver to adjust this thing but it has never bothered me: after you set it to your liking, how often do you change it? If the sheer performance of this beast isn't enough to impress you, the mirror finish and neon blue backlighting will definitely turn you on. I love this amp!

Inputs and Outputs Notes

Class A/B MOSFET Power Amplifier: The Audiobahn A6004T is a Class A/B amplifier that uses MOSFET high-speed switching devices for its amplification stage and power supply.

High-gloss Chrome-plated Finish: This amplifier has a high-gloss chrome-plated finish. A pair of white cotton gloves is included with the amplifier to prevent fingerprint smudges when handling and mounting the amp.

Cooling Fan: This amp has a built-in air intake and a cooling fan on top, ensuring cool, reliable operation.

Variable Subsonic Filter: The subsonic filter (variable from 20Hz to 50Hz) allows the amplifier to block ultra-low frequencies that your speakers can't reproduce, improving the efficiency of your speaker system. The front (1 & 2) and rear (3 & 4) channels have independent subsonic filters. No slope information is given for the subsonic filter.

Internal Crossovers: The front and rear channels have separate crossovers. Each crossover can be independently set for low-pass, high-pass, or full-range operation. In low-pass mode, the crossover is adjustable from 50Hz to 120Hz. In high-pass mode, the crossover is adjustable from 50Hz to 750Hz. In both modes, the crossover has a slope of 18dB/octave.

Bass Boost: The front and rear channels each have a bass boost switch which allows you to select a +18dB gain in bass output, centered at 50Hz. If you connect the optional ABR-100T remote bass boost control (item # 037ABR100T), the gain is adjustable from 0dB to +18dB.

Soft-Start Circuitry: The amplifier automatically turns on a few seconds after you turn your vehicle's ignition switch to ACC or ON. This eliminates the potentially damaging loud "thump" when multiple components power up simultaneously.

Optional Digital Voltmeter: This amp can be used with an the optional ADM-100T remote-mount digital voltmeter (item # 037ADM100T).

Protection Circuitry: This amp has 4-way protection circuitry, and will automatically shut down when it detects one of the following conditions: excessive heat (+158°F), input overload, short circuit, or DC offset. The protection LED will glow to indicate a problem that needs to be rectified.

Inputs and Outputs Notes

Set-Screw Terminals: The A6004T is equipped with nickel-plated set-screw terminals for power and ground that can accept up to 4-gauge bare wire. The remote turn-on and the speaker output set-screw terminals can accept up to 8-gauge bare wire. Two Allen wrenches (3mm for power/ground and 2.5mm for remote turn-on and speakers) are supplied to tighten/loosen the set screws.

Line Outputs: The line outputs can be used to feed signals to another amplifier without having to split the signal or use Y-adapters. They are not affected by the built-in low-pass or high-pass filters.

Speaker-Level Inputs: Using the supplied speaker-level input harness, you can connect the amplifier to all 4 channels of a receiver or factory radio without preamp outputs. You will need to splice the receiver/radio's speaker wires to the harness, then simply plug the harness into the 5-pin high-input jack on the amplifier. Note: For 4-channel speaker level inputs, the 4 positive speaker leads and chassis ground are connected to the 5-wire harness.

DVM/Remote: Two female RJ-11 telephone-type jacks are provided for the optional Audiobahn ADM-100T remote-mount digital voltmeter and the ABR-100T remote bass boost control.
