Wonderful Two Ways

Written By tawney, Seville, FL on Monday, November 14, 2011

I am not an audiophile but my music sounds Good - Bach to Brazilian Girls it sounds good. Crisp, clear and not heavy on the bass.

They are painless! They are comfortable. They fit my small ears and I can finally really enjoy my iPod. The inline controls are a plus.

I was lucky enough to have won these from Crutchfield, but if they were swallowed by a black hole I'd buy some more.

Pros:

Great sound, but ugly

Written By Doug, San Jose, CA on Sunday, June 05, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are great sounding ear-buds. Far better than what comes with the iPhone. They have a light, crisp sound with a lot of detail. And they're not too bass-heavy, like a lot of others I've tried. The controller works perfectly with my iPhone 4. If anything, these are a little too good at exposing the digital artifacts in less-than-perfect MP3's.

They're as comfortable as earbuds get, which is to say your mileage may vary, and seal out noise pretty well. The mic seems to work fine for calls, although since you can't hear your own voice through your ears, conversation is a little weird. This is a problem with all noise blocking ear buds - you'd think Apple (would mix some of the mic sound back into the earpiece when on a call).

Now the bad news: I ordered white earbuds. The package says "white." And the buds themselves are indeed white. But the wire is a hideous shade of bright lime green. And the controller/mic is a rectangular piece of black plastic (nothing like the sleek controller/mic you get with the Apple earbuds). And this appears to be the wire/controller combo you get no matter what color bud you order.

Crutchfield's photo doesn't really show this product accurately. The wire is not the faded, subtle green they show on the web site. It's nearly fluorescent safety green. Combined with the chunky controller, these earbuds look kind of cheap.

I'm still on the fence about keeping these. The sound quality is great, but they're just soooo ugly.

Does not work well with Droid phones!

The features of these head phones do not work with a droid phone. I would not recommend.

Phenomenal Sound Quality

Written By DanG, Jefferson, NY on Tuesday, March 22, 2011

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

After researching a number of different earbud models (Beats, Klipsch primarily), I decided on the AKG Q350 to replace the stock earbuds that came with my iPod touch. While calling myself an audiophile may be a bit of a stretch, I do value high quality sound in my music.
First, Crutchfield's top-notch customer service never fails to dissapoint. I ordered them at about 11:30 on a Tuesday night, they shipped on Wednesday and arrived on Friday afternoon.
One of the top features I was looking for was noise isolation. These absolutely deliver. Pop them in, 50% volume, and you're completely immersed in your music with typical household background noise. At 75%-80% volume, they virtually covered the noise from my 26hp tractor at full throttle.
The sound quality blew me away. This is my first set of high quality headphones (the iPod is my first portable music player since my discman) and I never imagined sound this full could be created by something so small. The bass is full, the highs are crisps, and the mids are balanced. The earbuds come with three different silicone tips - try them all just to make sure you have a good seal around your ear canal. If not, you won't get the bass. I had no trouble finding the right size.
The controls on the cord are handy for play/pause and volume adjustments.
Overall, I am more than satisfied with my purchase and absolutely recommend these earbuds to anyone looking for high quality sound and good noise isolating capability.

Iphone only DOES NOT WORK WITH DROID

Written By jim, michigan on Monday, February 14, 2011

These sounded pretty good on my friends iPhone, both the mic and earbuds, but I bought them for my Droid which the website said these would work for, but they don't. They work as headphones only on droid but the microphone DOES NOT WORK.

[Editor's Note: We have confirmed with AKG that these are not compatible with the Droid, but are compatible with the iPhone and Blackberry.]

Great Earbuds

Written By combs40, Valdosta, GA on Monday, December 20, 2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Best set of earbuds I've owned (actually won them from Crutchfield). I use them with my computer and phone and MP3 player. The bass is deep and the trebles are high. I would definately reccomend these.

Q350

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The sound is excelent. They feel good in my ear. The inline controle works fine with my Ipod Touch and the inline mic. sounds good on phone calls.

Once again Crutchfield's support team has shined. The customer service is magnificent.

best "headset" I've found

Written By kChapin, Wisconsin on Wednesday, December 01, 2010

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These earbuds deliver a very nice, celar sound. I can easily compare them to my AudioTechnica ATH-M50's. Sound is clear, crisp, flat, and un-colored. The bass may not be as loud as some poeple would like, but they can just go grab some beats by dre.

Best of all, they are a headset, which is why I bought them. I needed something for my iphone that was significantly better than the stock headset, and still portable. The mic works great and I have gotten no complaints from people on the other end.

The earbuds are massive, so if you have smaller ears this may not work out too well for you. I've actually put some Sony gaskets on them to make them fit the best in my ears. The good part about the massive earbuds is that they dont get accidentially pulled out very easily.

Things I dont like: The (green) wire is cheap, looks like something off a pair of 15$ headphones. While the volume controls look cool, they dont actually work with my iphone 3g (I'm still tring to verify if this is just broken or if it is just incompatable, and crutchfield is helping me with this - thanks). The play / pause / answer calls button works fine.
