You're going to take your iPod on the road with you, so it's best to be able to mount it in its own, dedicated spot. Pro.Fit combines its miMount iPod bracket with its LoBoy universal mount in a package that offers you a secure, low-profile option to keep your iPod within easy reach while you drive.

Simply slide your iPod into the miMount bracket — it's tailor-made to hold your iPod securely. The miMount connects to the compact LoBoy, offering you lots of mounting options. The LoBoy swivels 30 degrees on its base, and comes with a 90-degree "L" bracket. The adhesive pad on the base attaches securely to the mounting surface, and won't damage the material beneath if you need to remove it. Warranty: 1 year.

Features

Overview: This miMount kit allows you to mount the following iPod models in your vehicle: 10, 15, and 20 GB iPods, the 30 GB Photo iPod, the 30, 60, and 80 GB video iPods (5th generation iPods), and the 160 GB iPod classic. The kit includes a miMount cradle, which attaches directly to your iPod. The miMount cradle connects to the LoBoy mount, which adheres to the mounting surface in your vehicle. The LoBoy mount swivels 30 degrees on its base, allowing you to adjust the iPod's viewing angle. An "L" bracket is included for horizontal applications.

Note: The miMount kit is not designed to adhere to leather surfaces in your vehicle.

AMPS Compatible Hole Pattern: The miMount cradle has an AMPS compatible hole pattern that attaches quickly to a Pro.Fit International VSM or Legend Mount.

The mounting hardware and product worked as described. The fit for a iPod 120GB Classic was kind of snug and the cable connection to the iPod fits perfectly when the iPod is mounted/adjusted just right (centered). I had no problems with the mounting tape coming off. If you follow the instructions, you will not have a problem with the mounting.

Good Eoungh

adhesive is pretty
week, but I used
Industrial Velcro
and that did the
trick. I also had to
file the opening for
the ipod connector
(PAC iPod® Adapter
for Pioneer) for a
good fit, but that
was easy.

Use caution --- Poor adhesive

I purchased two of these (one for my car and one for my wife's car) to use with our new 5G ipods, and I have to say that I am quite disappointed. First, the product comes unassembled, which isn't that big of a deal except that the nuts and bolts that are provided have a weak color coating and during assembly the two that I had both lost their "brand new" look.

The biggest problem I have, however, with the mount is that the adhesive is extremely poor. I followed the instructions on preparing the surface and I let the mount sit on the dashboard overnight. Despite this, in the first 15 minutes of my first drive with the mount in my car, it fell from the dashboard and caused the face of my ipod to suffer some significant scratching.

If you don't have problems with the adhesive, the mount does hold the ipod firmly. Good luck.

I installed this in my Jeep Wrangler and it works GREAT! It also holds my hand held GPS with just a slight modification (a mini bungi cord).
