The Pro.Fit G3 uses a ball-joint design that lets you tilt your device in any direction for the optimum viewing angle, and makes changing devices a breeze. The VSM G3 mounting bracket features a slim profile, so it's hardly noticeable when nothing's attached to it. And the G3 mount's molded ball connects to a variety of Pro.Fit device holders, and even attaches directly to the back of a Garmin nüvi navigator.

Adapters for more versatility
In most cases, you'll need a separate device holder to attach your portable to the VSM. The G3 mount comes with two adapters that attach to the molded ball at its tip, so you can pivot your device to the perfect angle. The A Plate adapter attaches to Pro.Fit device holders for items like iPods or plug-and-play satellite radios, while the durable ball-tipped J Stem adapter acts as a 3" extension arm for even more mounting options.

Overview: The Pro.Fit International Vehicle Specific Mount (VSM) G3 is designed to attach behind the dash trim for a clean, factory installed look without damage to your vehicle's interior. Please check the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector for compatibility with your vehicle.

Note: For many applications a VSM will require an additional holder or cradle to complete a mobile electronics installation. Some electronics manufacturers provide their own cradle which usually will attach directly to a VSM.

Included Components: The VSM G3 provides a molded rubber ball allows you to pivot, twist, angle, extend, or remove your electronic device. It can also be used as a stand-alone mount with Garmin nüvi GPS units. The VSM G3 comes with the following components:

Lock Plate: The Lock Plate has a socket for the G3 ball on one side and a 2" square flat mounting surface on the other side. There are 4 screw holes with spacing between 1-1/8" and 1-1/2" (compatible with the standard AMPS hole pattern).
J Stem Extension: Made of high-performance resins, the J Stem extension provides a multi-axis, multi-functional joint that also acts as an extension arm (3" in any direction). The J Stem extension has a ball on one end and a ball socket on the other end.

Installation: The VSM G3 attaches to existing hardware that is hidden behind your vehicle dash's trim. Installation will require that your vehicle's trim bezel be removed from the dash in order access this hidden hardware. We recommend using a Dash Trim Removal Tool (042DM4022) or Hook Tool (042DM3022) to remove bezels. A special tool is necessary to protect the vehicle's dash from scratches and punctures that can occur by using a household tool like a screwdriver.

ILove mine. I use marine grade velcrow to attach my case to the flat platform. I can angle in and phone becomes an extension of my componet

You get two items with VSM G3, one is the actual bracket and the second is the cradle. You can request for the third item i.e. the gooseneck connector and it will be shipped free if you need it.
