Many award-winning sound-off competitors put their mid-woofers and tweeters in custom-built kick panel enclosures to get concert-quality stereo imaging. But why pay hundreds of dollars to an installer when you can do it yourself? Just mount your 6-1/2" component system in Q-Logic's Q-Forms kick panel enclosures, and your car speakers will deliver competition-quality imaging without the expensive price tag.

Q-Forms enclosures hold your speakers in an ideal position, angling them to maximize sound quality. Since the Q-Forms are located near your feet, the distance from your ears to each speaker becomes closer to equal, creating a superior soundstage. The driver's seat becomes the "sweet spot" for great stereo sound. Warranty: 1 year.

Note: The Q-Forms do not come with pre-cut holes, so you must cut holes in order to install your component speakers in the enclosures. Installing the Q-Forms panel enclosures in your vehicle may require relocation of the parking brake pedal or other vehicle parts. Please enter your vehicle information or call a Sales Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this model is compatible with your vehicle.

Installation note for 1982-1994 General Motors SUVs or pickups: Models with a/c require minor trimming of Q-Form and a cover for the fresh air door on the passenger side only.

Features

Product Overview: Q-Logic C-Series Q-Form custom kick panels are designed to hold a 2-way component speaker system consisting of a woofer up to 6-1/2" and a tweeter (up to 2" diameter). They are fabricated of durable ABS plastic, color matched to the factory interior colors, and directly replace the factory kick panels. The positioning and angle of the speakers provide optimum stereo imaging and staging.

No Grilles: Because no grilles are included with the Q-Forms, you must use the grilles supplied with the component system. In some cases, the grille could slightly overlap the mounting surface for the woofer. In this case the cutout can be made so any overlap occurs at the back bottom edge where it will not be visible. Note: One of the included installation guides states that 2 Q-grilles are included. That is not the case for the C-series Q-Forms.

Compatibility: These Q-Forms are designed to fit select 1982-93 Chevrolet S-10 and GMC S-15 pickups and 1982-94 Chevy S-10 Blazers and GMC S-15 Jimmys. These kick panels match the factory Dark Blue interior trim. The Q-Forms are also available in Dark Red, Medium Beige, Black, Light Gray, and Dark Charcoal. Note: For each specific vehicle, please verify compatibility with the Crutchfield Car Selector.

Installation Notes

Installation Overview: You will need to cut out the mounting holes in the designated areas of the plastic Q-Form. A roll of foam tape is provided for sealing the woofer in the kick panel. The tweeter can be flush or surface mounted. Giving exact mounting depths is not possible, since it will depend to some extent on the space available behind the factory kick panel.

Looks like a factory installation

Written By Michael, Akron, Ohio on Sunday, November 07, 2010

I have a set of these in my 94 S-10 pickup. Although these say they cover up to
94, my model may be different in looks, as the S-10 pickup design changed in 94,
whereas the S-10 Blazer stayed the same as previous years. That doesn't matter
though because these things are built tough! Holding them up with the factory
kick panels, there's no difference in quality. I have a set of Infinity
Reference 6 1/2's mounted; they look like they came from the factory. The space
where the hood release comes through is perfect. I'll never have another car,
as long as it takes kick panel mounts, without kick panel mounts. The sound is
phenomenal. I highly recommend buying the foam speaker protection for behind
the speakers and packing it with the packing material that comes with the
mounts. I then covered, over and over, the outside with duct tape; not only
does it help protect the speaker, the bass response is tight, even though I have
it crossed at 60 hz. Nice product.

Q-Forms Kick Panel Enclosures

Written By Cesar, Inland Empire, CA on Wednesday, June 27, 2007

These fit great in my kickpanels. They are made of molded plastic and are actually a little flimsy. I installed a pair of 6.5" Infinity Kappa components and they were beating up the enclosures. There was some anoying rattling so I fiberglassed them inside and out and put some poly fill inside. The problem is now solved and they actually look better and the speakers sound better. Great choice for a '91-93' S-10 but they are pricy and a little flimsy.
