Many award-winning sound-off competitors put their mid-woofers and tweeters in custom-built kick panel enclosures to get concert-quality stereo imaging. But why pay hundreds of dollars to an installer when you can do it yourself? Just mount your 6-1/2" component system in Q-Logic's Q-Forms kick panel enclosures, and your car speakers will deliver competition-quality imaging without the expensive price tag.

Q-Forms enclosures hold your speakers in an ideal position, angling them to maximize sound quality. Since the Q-Forms are located near your feet, the distance from your ears to each speaker becomes closer to equal, creating a superior soundstage. The driver's seat becomes the "sweet spot" for great stereo sound. Warranty: 1 year

Note: The Q-Forms do not come with pre-cut holes, so you must cut holes in order to install your component speakers in the enclosures. Installing the Q-Forms panel enclosures in your vehicle may require relocation of the parking brake pedal or other vehicle parts. Please enter your vehicle information or call a Sales Advisor at 1-888-955-6000 to find out if this model is compatible with your vehicle.

Installation note for 1997-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier/Pontiac Sunfire: To install, you'll need to measure and cut the original kick panel assembly so that it mates to the Q-Form panel perfectly.

Installation Notes

Product Overview: Q-Logic C-Series Q-Form custom kick panels are designed to hold a 2-way component speaker system consisting of a woofer up to 6-1/2" and a tweeter (up to 2" diameter). They are fabricated of durable ABS plastic, color matched to the factory interior colors, and directly replace the factory kick panels. The positioning and angle of the speakers provide optimum stereo imaging and staging.

No Grilles: Because no grilles are included with the Q-Forms, you must use the grilles supplied with the component system. In some cases, the grille could slightly overlap the mounting surface for the woofer. In this case the cutout can be made so any overlap occurs at the back bottom edge where it will not be visible. Note: One of the included installation guides states that 2 Q-grilles are included. That is not the case for the C-series Q-Forms.

Compatibility: These Q-Forms are designed to fit select 1997-2005 Chevrolet Cavaliers and Pontiac Sunfires. Note: For each specific vehicle, please verify compatibility with the Crutchfield Car Selector.

Factory Colors: These kick panels match the factory Graphite interior trim. The Q-Forms are also available in Black, Medium Neutral, and Pewter.

Installation Notes

Installation Overview: You will need to cut out the mounting holes in the designated areas of the plastic Q-Form. A roll of foam tape is provided for sealing the woofer in the kick panel. The tweeter can be flush or surface mounted. Giving exact mounting depths is not possible, since it will depend to some extent on the space available behind the factory kick panel.

Only alternative to custom fitting speakers

Written By Mike, NY on Sunday, December 21, 2008

My buddy DJ got these in his 05 Cavalier cause he didn't want to cut holes in front doors to fit 6-1/2 components like i did.

I installed them for him along with set of Pioneer 6-1/2 A-series components up front & 6x9 in rear, which sound great.

They don't fit as well as should but with slight modification an couple brackets to hold back there perfect and as other person said the plastic's texture isn't close to factory but personal unless you get within 12"s of pods and take good look at them you'll never notice the differents

I would recommend these to my fellow Cavalier owners that either don't want to or aren't up to task of enlarging factory door speaker opening to fit bigger speaker.

Great but not perfect

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are much easier than trying to make components fit anywhere else in the front, however I did have a couple minor issues with them.
First, after you mount them up, you'll notice that the back of them facing the firewall is a bit loose and there is nothing included to secure them. I solved that problem by creating a couple little brackets to screw them down.
Second, on the passenger's side, mine didn't fit exactly with the carpeting, but it's barely noticeable.
The last thing is the paint used, it doesn't match the texture of the rest of the interior plastic. Color is very close. It is a little rough if you feel it too.
Those minor issues aside, these are great, especially if you're short on time and patience. Once you have them in, they do look really good.
