Q
Will this enclosure fit into a 2006 gmc yukon denali? And if so, which sub would go good with it.
david  Feb 26, 2022
1 answer
A
I cannot answer if it will fit in your Yukon Denali. I know the description says it will as long as you have the 60/40 seat. I installed it in a 2006 GMC Sierra Crew Cab which has the 60/40 back seat and installs like in the picture. I am running an infinity 1000S sub in mine.

Q
Will a 10w3v3 fit or work in this box? I see there is only 1/8" clearance. Is that not enough?

A
Yes, I have that exact setup and fits perfectly and sounds great.

I have a 10" low profile sub woofer in mine and I have about a ¼" clearance on mine and it sounds great. This enclosure really makes the sub sounds great better then the box I had way way way better. Day and night difference. The bass never thumped as good. I was told as long as you have cleared and the sub magnet isn't resting on the enclosed you're good to go. My answer is yes that will be enough

Q
When the box is installed can you lay the back seat flat or does the enclosure prevent it from laying completely flat? Thanks!

A
On my 05 Silverado 2500 HD my seat doors flat didn't touch the enclosure at all. There's a piece that some with the enclosure I didn't use it didn't need it in my truck. If that's connected take it off you won't need it
vincent  Oct 16, 2017
A
The box prevents the seat from laying completely flat. The nice thing is that you can just disconnect the speaker wires to the box and move it within seconds.
wes  Jan 18, 2015
A
Hi John, after you install the enclosure, you can't lay the back seat flat completely, you have to remove the enclosure, but is not to hard to do it , my enclosure is installed in a Avalanche 2007 , so the back panel to make the cargo space bigger doesn't lay completely flat. But again is not hard remove it, because doesn't need be attached with screws to avoid moves when you are driving .
jesus  Jan 18, 2015
A
The seat bottom will hinge forward but the seat back will not lay all the way down flat. It goes 1/2-3/4 of the way down. It is my only complaint.
steven  Jan 18, 2015
A
It prevents it from laying flat

To clarify the above answer, it is in regards to a 4 door chevy pickup.
brock  Jan 18, 2015

Q
Where is the ideal mounting place for the amp using this box? Are you able to mount the amp concealed under the seat as well?
jarred  Aug 08, 2014

A
I have two amps in my 05 Silverado 2500hd and one is mounted under the rear passenger side and the other is mounted on the same side but on the cab wall behind the seat I can still get to the jack tools. I have a lift kit so I don't use the jack so I just took it out extra space.
vincent  Oct 16, 2017
A
I used the space behind the rear seats for the amps. Its the only place you have left if you don't want to mount an amp under the passenger side rear seat. If you chose to go under the seat you will have to pull the jack and other tools then grind off the mounting bolts which secured them.
rafael  Aug 11, 2014
A
This box takes up the middle and drivers side of the rear seat. I have my amp under the passenger side of the seat. As long as your amp can fit under that area it can go under the seat.
jason a  Aug 08, 2014
A
I mounted the amp on the passenger side rear seat. It is under the seat and I was able to run all of the cables under the carpet including the giant power wire and all of the RCA cables. The box only goes under the 60% side.

Q
Does this box need a special sub to fit or will any work?

A
As long as it's 10" Dia. And doesn't rest against the enclosure it will work.
vincent  Oct 16, 2017
A
I put a W-0v1 in it, just check the sub depth and the box depth
john  Jun 30, 2017
A
Sorry but I can't help my truck got stolen the day before I recived the box
oscar  Apr 01, 2014
A
It does not need a "special" sub, but it does need one that has a mounting dimension that doesn't exceed the box depth.
brock  Mar 20, 2014
A
Make sure the sub you chose has the mounting clearance for this enclosure and will work within a small sealed enclosure. This will limit the choices you have. I went with a type R sub from Alpine knowing the top mount depth was going to be more than the enclosure could handle. After building a spacer to lift the sub out of the box everything worked out excellent. Just a little more work.
rafael  Mar 20, 2014
A
The q logic box will hold any ten inch sub so long as the mounting depth is not exceeded. The box gives max depth on its specification and dimension info and subs will list this dimension also. It also sounds pretty good. Just don't expect any competition winning bass.
steven  Mar 19, 2014
A
I installed a 10" Polk sub and this fit into the enclosure perfectly. I the mounting diameter of the sub you are installing is 9.125" or less no modifications are needed. I it is greater you will nee to cut the rubber QX ring. This is no big deal and takes about 5 seconds. The only thing I did differently than the instructions stated was drilling the sub mounting holes. This made installing the mounting screws much easier. I had the sub in the enclosure in less than 15 minutes. All I needed to install it into my truck was to raise my rear seat and lay it in. The unit sounds great. Hope this helped. Bob.
