Q-Forms Kick Panel Enclosures

Overview

Our take on the Q-Forms Kick Panel Enclosures

Many award-winning sound-off competitors put their mid-woofers and tweeters in custom-built kick panel enclosures to get concert-quality stereo imaging. But why pay hundreds of dollars to an installer when you can do it yourself? Just mount your 6-1/2" component system in Q-Logic's Q-Forms kick panel enclosures, and your car speakers will deliver competition-quality imaging without the expensive price tag.

Just mount your 6-1/2" component system in Q-Logic's Q-Forms kick panel enclosures, and your car speakers will deliver competition-quality imaging without the expensive price tag.

Q-Forms enclosures hold your speakers in an ideal position, angling them to maximize sound quality. Since the Q-Forms are located near your feet, the distance from your ears to each speaker becomes closer to equal, creating a superior soundstage. The driver's seat becomes the "sweet spot" for great stereo sound. Warranty: 1 year

Note: The Q-Forms do not come with pre-cut holes, so you must cut holes in order to install your component speakers in the enclosures. Installing the Q-Forms panel enclosures in your vehicle may require relocation of the parking brake pedal or other vehicle parts. Installation note for 1992-97 Ford F-Series pickups or 1992-96 Ford Broncos: Installation requires relocating the hood release handle and cable.

1996 Ford Bronco
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

When I got them I mocked them up they fit nice .To me it seems that the speakers were facing more towards my feet then my face And in their picture on there site it's the opposite. Had to reroute the hood latch no problem. What they didn't tell you is that you would actually have to move your emergency brake pedal out further. If not when you press down on your E break the lever it's self would have caved in the mid-woofer. To fix that problem you need a few spacers between the emergency brake pedal mechanism and the wall and BAM your good to go. Just didn't feel like doing it Also for me I would of had to find a spot to mount the other two crossovers And space underneath the dash is very limited in my bronco as it is

Pros: Good Craftsmanship , Easy to install

Cons: More work then stated , Color was off

Features

Product Overview: Q-Logic C-Series Q-Form custom kick panels are designed to hold a 2-way component speaker system consisting of a woofer up to 6-1/2" and a tweeter (up to 2" diameter). They are fabricated of durable ABS plastic, color matched to the factory interior colors, and directly replace the factory kick panels. The positioning and angle of the speakers provide optimum stereo imaging and staging.

No Grilles: Because no grilles are included with the Q-Forms, you must use the grilles supplied with the component system. In some cases, the grille could slightly overlap the mounting surface for the woofer. In this case the cutout can be made so any overlap occurs at the back bottom edge where it will not be visible. Note: One of the included installation guides states that 2 Q-grilles are included. That is not the case for the C-series Q-Forms.

Compatibility: These Q-Forms are designed to fit select 1992-96 Ford F-series pickups and Broncos, and 1997 Ford F-250 Heavy Duty and F-350 pickups. Note: For each specific vehicle, please verify compatibility with the Crutchfield Car Selector.

Factory Colors: These kick panels match the factory Black interior trim. The Q-Forms are also available in Granite, Medium Opal, Lapis Blue, Ruby, Crystal Blue, Light Mocha, and Scarlet.

Installation Notes

Installation Overview: You will need to cut out the mounting holes in the designated areas of the plastic Q-Form. A roll of foam tape is provided for sealing the woofer in the kick panel. The tweeter can be flush or surface mounted. Giving exact mounting depths is not possible, since it will depend to some extent on the space available behind the factory kick panel.

Modifications: When installing the Q-Forms, you will need to relocate the hood release handle and cable.
