Features

Overview: The enclosure is a two piece unit consisting of a enclosure made of 5/8" MDF and a "doeskin" colored plastic fascia. The fascia is colored to match the "doeskin" interior found in some 82'-91' Chevy Camaros, Pontiac Trans Ams and Pontiac Firebirds. Two rectangular, 2 1/2" tall, black plastic riser blocks are attached to the bottom of the enclosure; the riser blocks will hold the bottom of the enclosure 2 1/2" off of the storage well floor (overall enclosure height including the riser blocks is 12 1/4").

Wiring: There are two sets of nickel-plated 5-way binding posts (with plastic wire retention nuts) mounted on the rear of the enclosure. The wires supplied to connect the terminal cups to the woofers are terminated at each end with 0.205" female quick slides.

Installation Note: Run speaker wires from amplifier to enclosure. Place enclosure in rear storage well (between rear wheel wells), and permanently secure the enclosure to the vehicle (see note below). Place plastic fascia on box. Connect speaker wire between woofers and terminals. Place woofers on top of   fascia. Run screws through woofers, fascia, and into box. Press grills into fascia.

Mounting: For sonic and safety purposes, Ai Research recommends permanently securing the enclosure to the vehicle. No mounting brackets are included, so, to permanently attach the enclosure to the vehicle, a bracket kit (item 125B702KIT) will be needed or brackets and screws may be purchased from a hardware store. Bracket mounting requires drilling and screwing into the vehicle and enclosure.

Customer Q&A

This Q-Customs Factory-fit Dual 10" Subwoofer Enclosure is just the subwoofer box designed specifically for select 1982-1992 Chevrolet Camaro / Pontiac Firebird / Pontiac Trans Am vehicles. It has a maximum depth of 5-3/16" and an internal volume of 0.65 cubic feet per side, but there aren't any subwoofers included; so that's why there aren't any power handling specs listed. We don't have any additional images other that what is on the website that came from the manufacturer. You can check out the sheet of information that comes with the unit on the details tab on our website under the heading "What's in the box" and view the owner's manual. The installation instructions that come with the enclosure discuss permanently mounting the enclosure to the vehicle using a suitable type of bracket found at most hardware stores. It also mentions that the fascia panel should fit snug, and snap under the ridge around the latch area. You may want to contact the manufacturer for more information using their website, http://www.qlogicenclosures.com/ or Customer Support 800-762-0351. Hope that helps. [ Kenny  Dec 31, 2015 ]  Staff
