Room for 6 components

The JFV57 has three compartments, each with two fixed shelves. Each shelf can easily hold a standard-sized component, such as a home theater receiver or Blu-ray player. The two doors have tempered glass panels that let remote commands pass through to your gear.

Openings in the back panel let you route cables neatly, keeping them out of sight. Those openings also help keep the compartments ventilated, ensuring your gear runs cool, even when enclosed.

This cabinet is compatible with the Sanus ELM701 flat-panel TV anti-tip strap.

Customer Q&A

Q
Does the doors interfere with the remote control signal?
tbjsantos  Nov 21, 2015

A
No all my remotes work fine
donnie  Nov 23, 2015
A
It depends on where the IR sensor is located on whatever a/v equipment is behind the door. The doors have a wood border around each glass piece such that if your sensor is low enough or high enough, the wood border can block the signal. I have 4 pieces of equipment in mine, and one of them requires that I hold the remote up a bit higher to get a good signal if the door is closed on that side. That said, I could rearrange my setup to move that unit more to the middle of the glass, but it is not bothersome enough to mess with it for me. Hope this helps. For what it's worth, I am reasonably satisfied with this unit. It is not fancy, but for the price, it's quite good. Just don't expect real wood furniture type of quality. I also have the flat panel mount that attaches to the back, and it is very sturdy, and the swivel feature is nice and smooth. I got it in order to lift the tv up away from the top of the stand si could put my center channel speaker under the tv, but not inside the stand because the speaker is too big to fit in the center opening. For this purpose it is perfect.

No. Not of the door are manual.

Q
Can this be hung on the wall ?

A
Possibly, but with customer supplied heavy duty brackets. It's really heavy. Probably would pull bolts right out of the walll.
ivan a.  Jun 16, 2015
A
No. Unless you do some major engineering.
jon  Jun 16, 2015
A
I kinda doubt it -- it's extremely heavy.
mitchell  Jun 16, 2015
A
Anything can be hung, but I wouldn't. It is extremely heavy.

Q
How tall are the compartments? Wondering if they would fit LPs with the shelf removed (12.75").
matthew  May 06, 2015

A
To stack LP's vertically (recommended) in their jackets I could not make the clearance needed. Perhaps with end-rails on the top you could use that surface for records and 1-2 other components. This would take only a minor adaptation, eg., book ends.
thomas  May 09, 2015
A
What's an LP? You can take the inside shelf out. It sits about 4 inches off the ground Minus 2 inches of wood for the top and bottom. So roughly you have 18+ inches minus 6 inches.
peter  May 07, 2015
A
6 inches from the bottom to the shelf. A hair over 12 for when shelf removed. 12.75 will not fit.
mark  May 07, 2015
A
The compartments without shelves are 12 15/16" tall, so the records would just fit.
alan p  May 07, 2015
A
Matt, LP's will not fit, it lacks about 1/2" from working.
james  May 07, 2015
A
The compartment is just under 12.25" with the inner shelf removed.
mitchell  May 07, 2015
A
Without the shelf, the opening is about 12-1/8". If you use it to store albums, they will be at a slight angle to fit.
ivan a.  May 07, 2015
A
I'm a big vinyl guy. I just grabbed one to see if it would fit. Straight up and down, they will not fit, about a quarter inch shy. You could fit them in if you tilted them slightly. Hope this helps.
jon  May 07, 2015
A
They are just under 12" tall, so no, they will not hold LPs.
jon  May 07, 2015
Q
The product dimensions state the shelf each are 18 15/16" wide, is that accurate? I'm trying to find a center channel speaker and wondering if there is some leeway.

Q
Do you the option of not installing one of the middle shelves to accommodate a larger piece of equipment?
prashant tirmal  Jan 12, 2015
4 answers
A
Yes, the middle shelves are optional and/or adjustable in placement.
michael  Jan 20, 2015
A
Yes you do have that option. It's exactly what I did to accommodate my receiver. Beware of the legs on this furniture piece. I recommend lifting it if you move it. Don't push/slide it around on the floor. Solid sturdy piece for the price.
peter  Jan 12, 2015
A
I don't see why not. The (horizontal) middle shelves aren't there for support. They have adjustable pegs so you can move the shelves height. The vertical ones do support the unit.
michael k  Jan 12, 2015
A
Yes.
