Overview Details Customer Reviews Category Info Our take on the Sanus NFC18 by Julie Govan Sanus knows that not everyone has their center channel sitting atop their television but for a long time, there weren't a lot of other options for center channel placement. Today, the high-performance NFC18 is a great way to position your center channel speaker for optimum sound quality, while matching the look of the stand to your other speaker stands. The wide top plate is metal and measures 14"W x 8"D. It comes with rubber bumpers and adjustable spikes either can be used to lift your speaker out of direct contact with the plate, thus allowing for improved audio. The rubber bumpers also help keep the speaker in place. The pillars and base are made of anti-resonant MDF the base has a smooth low-luster black finish, while the pillars are finished in black lacquer or cherry hardwood veneer. The base measures 18-1/4"W x 11-3/4"D. Plastic feet for the underside of the base plate protect wood or tile floors (adjustable carpet spikes also included). A patent-pending concealed speaker wire path on each rounded support pillar keeps cables out of sight. Assembly takes just minutes. Warranty: 5 years. Available with black lacquer or cherry pillars. Adjustable floor spikes are included to provide stable footing on carpeted floors, and to further minimize resonance. Two sturdy black pillars support the low-profile top plate, which features a choice of rubber isolation pads or adjustable speaker studs. Plastic wire covers give your speaker stands a neater look by concealing the wires completely. Spiked Feet: The spiked feet pierce the carpeting and anchor the stand to the floor, keeping the speaker stable and reducing resonance. With the spiked feet installed, the stand height is adjustable from 17.75" to 18". Note: If you do not wish to use the spiked feet, Sanus has included rubber feet that will not scratch your floor. Top Shelf Dimension: The width is 14" and the depth is 8". Crutchfield Customer Review The reviewer purchased this item from us, verified by the email address on the order. Good product that comes with all the necessary accessories to lock the speaker in place as well as the stand itself. Well thought out with rubber bumpers to angle the speaker up if needed and prevent vibration. The wire hiding option worked great, but was a little bit hard to "install" as the plastic did not want to cup nicely into the slots. Took me an extra 2 mins of struggling, but alas it fell into place. Only complaint from my side is that $100 for this stand is a bit extravagantly priced. Guess I should stop whining and enjoy it... ;-) 5 out of 5 people found this helpful Was this review helpful?
