Features

Recessed Component Box: The Sanus SA809 large recessed component box was specially designed for use with the Sanus SA206 EcoSystem Mini (sold separately) for an additional power source. Its space-saving design keeps components and cables neat, making it perfect for use with wall-mounted TVs. Includes three AC outlet spaces to allow power to be integrated and cables to be concealed as well as an elastic strap for holding and organizing up to six small components. A removable component panel allows component organizing before and after installation. The SA809 is made of high-impact plastic for long life.

ECO-Mini Bracket Compatible: The SA809 recessed component box features a "knock-out" opening and comes with a mounting to bracket to install the Sanus ECO-Mini bracket (051SA206, sold separately).

AC Outlet Box Compatible: The SA809 also includes three other "knock-out" openings which allow the installation of up to three UL listed 120 VAC electrical outlet boxes (sold separately).

Security Straps: The two included elastic straps are used to attach and secure components inside the housing.

Applications: The SA809 can be installed behind most large wall plates of wall-mounts or underneath or above most small wall plates. To access the SA809 after installation, disconnect all cables and wires from the TV, then either slide or remove the arm or TV mount from the wall plate.

Mounting: The recessed component box must be mounted between studs that are at least 16" apart; drywall covering the wall must not exceed 5/8". After installation there will not be enough space between the SA809 and the studs for electrical wires/cables, plumbing, ductwork, or insulation.

Not sure what a power brick i s. I have my internet wifi box from centurytel a small cordless phone base and phone in mine mounted high in my hallway.. I like the boxes and encourage use of then in new or old construction. Fishing the wire may stink but the boxes are nice.

You may be able to get away with that if you don't have too many wires coming into the wall box .

How do I ensure my tv mount does not interfere with the installation of this wall box? Are there specific Sanus Wall mounts that are recommended for a 75" Sony XBR850E TV to be used with this wall box?
tom  Aug 20, 2017

Q
If my studs are not 16" apart, can I still install this box?
michelle  Apr 21, 2016

A
I installed vertical because of studs, so make sure you at least have room for that width.
robert  Apr 29, 2016
A
I believe so , the remodel style clamp type brackets will hold it and as in my case by placing the flush end against a stud and using screws I believe it will be just fine
