About the Sanus SSMK1
This hardware kit lets you mount your Sanus flat-panel TV mount into the steel studs common in new construction. The kit is UL® listed, and can be used in commercial locations such as office buildings, restaurants, and warehouses. The anchors are designed to fit through the holes of standard steel studs, making installation simple.
Compatible with select Sanus mounts, including VMPL, VMPL2, VMPL3, VMPL50, and VMPL250.

Overview: The Sanus VisionMount SSMK1 is a hardware kit that allows steel wall stud-mounting for various Sanus flat-panel TV mounts. This kit increases the mounting options of these universal wall mounts for use in commercial applications such as office buildings, warehouses or condominiums.

Installation Note: This product is designed for use in steel stud walls only. Studs must be at least 2x4-inch and 25-AWG. The wall must be capable of supporting up to five times the weight of the monitor and mount combined. If back side of wall is unfinished, drywall must be installed to minimum of one stud left and right of the stud(s) being used to install the mounting. Drywall must be a minimum of 1/2" thick on each side of the studs, and a minimum clearance of 1-7/8" behind the wall is required. This product must be centered on the studs.

I bought these anchors to use for my TV mount on a drywall. I don't have any studs behind this wall so it was the only option. So far so good, it handles my 32" TV without any problems. I've tried to put some pressure to TV mount itself with my hands and it looks sturdy.
