About the Sanus TRILLIUM63

Ralph Graves

Smart design for advanced systems

Sanus designed their handsome Trillium Series cabinets with the audiophile in mind. The compartment doors have unique steel panels that allow infrared signals from your remote to pass through. And these open air panels, together with ventilation slots in the shelves, allow air to flow freely throughout the cabinet, keeping components cool. The cabinet can support a flat-panel TV with a screen size of up to 70" and weighing up to 100 lbs.

Customer Q&A

Q
Is the lower main compartment only 9.06"H or is it actually slightly more or less in height?

A
I just measured my lower main compartment and it's just over 9 inches. 9 1/10 inches. Hope this helps. This is a great cabinet!!
scott  Feb 07, 2019
A
The spec sheet is accurate.

Q
My plan would be to place my large center speaker on top of this stand, with the TV on the wall, but would the two inside lower shelves be strong enough to support an AV receiver (33 lbs) on one side and a power amplifier (80 lbs) on the other? Sanus seems to make good audio racks, so I'm hoping so.

HI John, The owners manual says that each side of the lower shelf will support 100lbs, therefore the answer is yes.I ended up mounting my tv on the wall and the center channel speaker on top. The dimensions for the top shelf were not correct for the depth. The web site said 10.5 inches when it was 8.75.
craig  May 01, 2018
A
According to the installation manual, the two bottom shelves can hold up to 100lbs each. The upper shelf can hold up to 50lbs, and the top surface has a 100lb capacity.

You should be fine. I have a similar set up. This is a very sturdy cabinet. Thanks
richard  Apr 30, 2018

Hi John! Absolutely it will support those components. I love this stand! I have my Marantz 7011 on left side and a large panamax voltage regulator on right along with Oppo player on top left shelf and xfinity cable box on right top. The quality of the stand is up there as well! Hopefully this helps
brian  Apr 30, 2018
A
i think it will. I have similar setup and no issues.
sean  Apr 30, 2018

I have this exact same set up with a Polk center speaker which is a pretty big size and i also have an Onkyo 610 receiver on the shelf. I have a cable box, router and Apple TV inside the console. It's a sturdy piece of furniture.

Q
Would this be able to support a 75" TV that is 75 pounds?
jeffrey  Mar 01, 2018

A
Top shelf is rated for 100lbs according to Sanus. I would be OK with that but no more. Unit is 63 inches wide, so check your tv to see if it will fit. Doubt it would look right if there were an overhang.
darren  Mar 07, 2018
A
Definitely! This is a very sturdy and I have an older 65" Samsung that weighs a lot and it is doing just fine. The top shelf actually supports up to 100lbs.
joshua  Mar 06, 2018
A
Yes, I would say so. I weight 180lbs, and there is no issue with me sitting on the tv stand....
marc  Mar 06, 2018
Q
Does the top inside shelf, with its 8.27 inch height, have a divider smack in the middle? Reason I ask is if you have a center-channel speaker and you want to hide it on that top shelf you're out of luck if there's a divider there. Otherwise, it's a very attractive piece of furniture for a good price.

A
If you look at the user manual (there's a PDF linked at the product page), it shows dimensions of the center compartment. The divider can be installed in 2 orientations. One divides the upper compartment into two side-by-side compartments. The other mounts it so that a center speaker can fit. Be careful, though, about the depth of your speaker. The user manual is misleading and makes it seem like there's 10.5" of depth for a center speaker. There's actually only 9.5"
matthew  Feb 16, 2018
A
It does, which was a surprise to me, but luckily not a problem. I find it perfect for game consoles. It's a structural component of the unit, though if you had the means to cut a piece back, I'm sure it would still work. The lower shelf is the same.
nate  Feb 15, 2018
A
There is a divider but it can go either direction. Unless you have a very deep speaker it should fit no problem. This unit is great, I've had it for a few months now.
sean  Feb 14, 2018
A
We left the divider out during assembly, seemed to be optional, and our center speaker fits fine.
sylvia  Feb 14, 2018
A
Yes there is a divider, you can install it 2 ways when assembling. Length wise or vertical. If you install the divider length wise you have a depth of 10.54 inches along the 40.31 length.
keith r.  Feb 14, 2018
A
There is a divider in the middle of the top inside shelf, BUT when you build it you have a choice to either use it to equally divide the top shelf space into two compartments for equipment OR placing the divider in way so it sits further to the back of the cabinet so you can fit a wide Center channel within the top inside shelf using the full width. Hope this helps.
keane k.  Feb 14, 2018
A
Yes. There is a divider in the middle of the top inside shelf. You could not put a center channel speaker there. I use mine for an AV receiver on one side and a blu-ray player on the other side. It is a very well thought out piece of storage equipment. Nothing else comes close in terms of how much gear it can accommodate.
jason  Feb 14, 2018
A
You can configure the top shelf two different ways. First, it you can install the divider front-to-back and divide the top compartment into two separate sections. This would not allow for a center channel speaker to be centered behind the front cover. The other way you can do it is install that divider so it is oriented in parallel with the front and back of the cabinet. This allows you to put a shallow center channel speaker in front of the divider. I think it allows for about 7.5" of depth on the center channel in this configuration. I suggest downloading the technical drawings for this stand from the Sanus website if you have additional questions.
