Our take on the Sanus TVS

by Melanie Seibert
Sanus

If your television's too narrow to properly support your center channel speaker, Sanus' TVS shelf may be the answer. Use it to place your center channel securely where it gives the greatest sonic impact — directly over the TV screen.

With a weight capacity of 15 lbs., the TVS offers ample size and strength to support most smaller and many medium-sized center channel speakers. Or, use the TVS to hold a video component like a VCR or game console. Its unique mounting system incorporates adjustable feet and adhesive pads to ensure a secure fit to the top of your TV.

Not worth the Price

Written By Andres, La Mesa, CA on Sunday, January 21, 2007
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Sanus usually makes fairly good quality furniture products with A/V equipment in mind. This is not one of them. Too much cost cutting on this unit. It is overpriced because they used cheap flimsy plastic legs for the support of the angled pads. Why not use stronger metal/steel legs? Then there would be no bending, or threat of structural failure. Also, it would be nice if they included an extra double sided sticky pad or 2, for that human error factor (beyond the 5 you actually need).

Ok, but wont work on most DLPs

Written By Dan, Houston on Monday, August 28, 2006
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I really like this stand, it looks good and is made well, but if you have a TV with an extreme angle in the back like a thinner DLP/LCD the legs on this stand are not long enough to use it.
