If sound quality means a lot to you, then the last thing you want is for your speaker stands to be the weak link in your system. Sanus Foundations Ultimate speaker stands are perfect for high-performance sound systems that use medium-sized bookshelf speakers. Sanus tested these stands thoroughly in an anechoic chamber to fine-tune their acoustic properties. They were also made in collaboration with the renowned industrial design firm, Cramer Studio, for a stylish design that maintains a heavy duty build-quality.

Each stand features a stable triangular base made of minerals, resins, and glass — a combination that ensures superior resonance damping. Atop the base are three textured-gray steel pillars supporting a steel top plate. The rounded pillars minimize diffraction, and can be filled with shot or sand for added mass. Resonance-damping rings placed at the top and bottom of the pillars help improve the speaker's performance.

The top plates are equipped with adjustable speaker isolation studs and neoprene isolation pads to further dampen unwanted vibrations. Adjustable carpet spikes and screw-in polyester feet ensure stability on virtually any surface.

The Pillars can be filled with sand for added mass and have damping rings at both ends to effectively isolate vibrations. This solid structure allows superior acoustic isolation and resonance damping for the clearest, cleanest sound possible. The base includes carpet spikes and pads for use on any floor surface.

Sanus speaker stands

Written By Whitestix, Sacramento on Saturday, February 09, 2013

I replaced some modestly-priced stands with the Sanus stands for my GMA EOS HD monitor speakers and I was simply BLOWN AWAY at the difference it made! The sound was clearer and better defined and the soundstage was just holographic. I have tried a ton of tweaks and I never would have believed how much sonic benefit there would be to having top-notch, but very affordable, speakers stands like the UF26 stands. There is very solid physics involved in the construction of these stands. I couldn't be more happy with them. Mark

Well made and attractive

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love these well built, solid speaker stands and they easily passed the WAF. They are perfect for my Merlin Master TSMs. Would have given them 5 stars but the assembly on one of the stands was difficult and I was unable to line up all the top platform wholes with the posts. This was not a real serious issue but I do think it has to do with QC as I had this same problem with a previous Sanus stand model

Pros: Solid, stable, attractive and easy to fill with sand.

Cons: Some assembly issues. Should have better QC
