Wall-mount your audio/video components under your TV with this innovative storage system from Sanus. Two adjustable tempered glass shelves provide stable bases for your gear, supported by a sturdy extruded aluminum column which you anchor directly to a wooden wall stud.

Two interior channels let you conceal your components' signal wires separately from the power cables, preventing performance-robbing electrical interference — keep your system looking neat and uncluttered without sacrificing sound or picture quality.

Good overall in quality and appearance. Would recommend to others

Excellent Wall Mount

Written by: Justin Witte from Dacula, Ga on February 1, 2016

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Excellent Wall mounting system for heavier electronics. I purchased it open box and might as well have been brand new as it was in the original box, it did however have a small dimple in the glass where it had been chipped or cracked that I didn't notice until after I had set it up, but it doesn't appear to affect the functionality of the shelf. I am using it to hold up 2 projectors that weigh over 22 lbs each and it works fantastic.

Pros: Holds up to 50 lbs on each shelf and is a very solid shelf.

Cons: You may have to remove the small tabs on the back of the wall bracket to get it to mount properly, had to do this with both of my mounts. Had to call customer service to get this figured out, but other than this no complaints at all.

Defective

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Everything fit together in the box. HOWEVER, I attempted to install on the wall several times and never could get the wall plate lined up and attached to the main part that the holds the shelve bracket and hides the cables. My recommendation is do not buy this product.

Pros: Looks good in the pictures. Everything fits before the wall plate is installed.

Cons: Poor design of the wall plate and the depth of the slots on the main part that the wall plate attaches to. We attempted installation 3 times (lots of holes in my wall).

Looked at many similar product and decided based on price to purchase this one. Installation seemed easy, however had difficulty in sliding the Channel onto the wall mount was very tight need a little tapping with hammer. Very secure on the wall. Wire channels spacious enough for wires I had to double back with Cables do to length held real well. Top and bottom cap did not seem to go on easily still working on it.

Pros: Nice area on glass for equipment, Easy installation, Wire channel ample, looks good on wall, saves space,

Cons: Very tight fit from wall bracket to shelf mount. Other than that very satisfied

Great

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This is one of the few relatively inexpensive wall mount component shelf systems that will support a real AVR (25+ pounds & depth for 14" deep chassis + connectors & cables). Mounting to the wall is simple enough and provided peace of mind that it would really support the weight since it uses 4 1/4 bolts. Looks great once installed.

Pros: Heavy duty, large shelves, simple to install.

Cons: Shelves not "locked" in place.

Pretty much as expected

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I wanted something simple to get my receiver and BluRay off the floor and hide the plethora of cables. This pretty much did the trick and I love the simplicity.

Pros: Simple, looks pretty decent, nice cable hiding system.

Cons: The shelves aren't as stable as I would have hoped for... it's very easy to tilt them off-level.

Sanus VF2012 Single-column wall-mounted component rack

Written by: rossabh from California on November 25, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy installation - bought it for a customer, planning to route the wire in the channel (an important feature to me), but the customer wanted it lower on the wall and I did not use that feature. I was able to mount the single column unit on a stud and center it below the flatscreen. It would be good to anticipate alignment of the flatscreen and the shelf unit. I had thought about the two column unit to give me a little more versatility, but the larger shelves were too large for the application. Clean looking unit with minimum appearance.

Pros: Easy to mount, wiring can be run in the column channel, clean/minimum appearance

Cons: no adjustment sideways to align with the flatscreen if you want to mount to a stud

Love It!

Written by: RonS from Parsippany, NJ on March 30, 2014

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Very functional unit that looks great. I do have a few minor quibbles that keep it from getting a 5 star rating (see cons below). The locking plate screw is very tight from the factory. Just be sure to use the properly sized Phillips screwdriver and it should readily loosen. I found the instructions adequate for easy installation.

Pros: Looks great Shelves are fully adjustable in the vertical plane. Cables are easy to hide and are completely out of view.

Cons: Color is gloss black. Would look better in flat or satin finish. Shelves attach easily and lock securely in the vertical plane. But don't lean on the side edge of a shelf or it will suddenly drop downwards. I cannot get the top and bottom caps to install properly. Fortunately, in my installation I really don't need to use them. (The side caps snap into place very easily to hide the cables.)

Nice Shelving Unit

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This worked out well, I actually mounted this unit off to the side of my TV. I was really wanting something where I can put my video game systems since there was no room under my TV due to my polk audio CS1 center channel already placed there. Worked great, easy to install (took about half hr) all in all I am pleased with unit and it serves its purpose. Best of all I bought it off the Scratch & Dent option for a great price, Thanks again to Crutchfield's fast free shipping

Pros: Well made, Looks nice

Great Product

Written by: Mike from Washington, DC on May 6, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The assembly was a bit complicated, and there are very limited instructions, only pictures/illustrations on each step. The first step is to take a screw out and separate the base from the mounting bracket, and it came with the screw in so tight it was nearly impossible to get it out without stripping the screw. After I finally unscrewed it, the rest of the assembly was not too bad -- just took a while to figure out how it all fit together due to lack of directions. Once completed, the shelf looks great and was a perfect option for housing two units (I have a cable receiver and DVD player now mounted below the TV). I would highly recommend it, just be aware it may take longer than you expect to put it together.

Pros: Great component shelf, storage solution, looks great.

Cons: Assembly more difficult than expected, very few directions.

Wall Rack

Written by: Paul B. from Rockford, Il on March 8, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This my second one of these. My first was a "double wide" version that I used for my home theater setup, Which was also excellent. This one I'm using for my music only setup and was MUCH easier to install. Same great quality and looks awesome! Instructions ARE pretty rough, but it's also not rocket science either. Plenty of room to hide cables, it looks very clean and almost like your components are floating. Highly recommend!

Pros: Cable hiding Cool looking "floating" factor

Cons: Walls have to be reasonably flat Bad instructions

Best wall shelf on the market

Written by: Dave R from Camnpbell CA on February 12, 2013

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The unit is well thought out and engineered. Looks great. Solid mounting system.

Pros: Looks good. Shelves can be easily removed for cleaning.

Cons: Bad manual. I purchased a unit that had been previously opened. I found out why. The screw that holds the lockl bar was too tightly torqued by the factory and the previous purchaser stripped the phillips head which made it impossible to remove in the factory installed position. Fortunately the opposite end has a screw that when removed allowed the asembly to slide just enough to allow me to get channel locks on the outside of the screw and with a heavy twist got the screw to turn. Problem solved

Pros: Great apprearance, two shelves, and it hides all wires.

Modern Bedroom

Written by: GarretS from Chicago, IL on November 12, 2012

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

As part of combining households, I needed to make space for a new Sony flatscreen TV in my bedroom. We decided to finally mount the TV to the wall, and incorporate shelves for the AV components. So I purchased this item and the wall mounting bracket, and installed them both myself. The quality of the hardware and the instructions were perfect. I have moderate experience with home improvement, so I would say that I only read them minimally. Overall, I recommend this item and the Sanus ML11-B1 Super-Slim (mounting bracket) if you need something for a bedroom entertainment setup.

Pros: - Quality hardware - Good instructions - Plenty of extra parts

Cons: - None

Component Wall Mount

Written by: Zelda from Lexington, NC on December 13, 2008

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

The Sanus VF2012 is a very nice looking and highly functional AV component wall mount. We used it with the Sanus LT25 TV wall mount. The installation was easy, despite the total lack of usable information in the manual. We installed it after the wall mount was installed and the TV mounted so we had an accurate measurement for its placement. The shelf bracket mount was a bit tricky to get on, but not a big issue to solve. All the packing material is recyclable. Good product, simple installation and a good buy.

Because my wife liked it. [ TIMOTHY  Dec 13, 2015 ]
It was 1/2 price for my order and will fill my needs nicely. Furniture stands are great but this will hold the equipment I have planned to install and will look good doing it....not to mention save space. [ Mark  Dec 11, 2015 ]

3 questions already asked

I see no reason except possibly safety or appearance. There's no physical reason. Mounting too high will leave cords hanging out bottom kinda high off floor. [ TODD  Jun 04, 2016 ]
Even more if you want [ DANTE R  Jun 03, 2016 ]
My shelves measure 24" wide by 17" deep. Usable depth however is only about 15.5" because the shelf is cutout to fit around the center wall mounted support. It's a great unit but you should take the weight limits seriously. [ Stephen  Nov 15, 2015 ]
24inch wide, 18inch deep. Easily fits playstation, cable box and such [ Jason  Nov 15, 2015 ]
About 24" wide by 18" deep. My Onkyo receiver and multidisc changer fit nicely. [ Kashif  Nov 14, 2015 ]
Our unit arrived crushed, we decided it was not durable enough and went with a different unit [ David  Nov 14, 2015 ]
They are 24" wide by 18"deep. Very sturdy shelf. Mine is holding a marantz sr5003 receiver with ease. [ JAMES J  Nov 14, 2015 ]
Yes mounting between studs is safe. You need to verify the load that the molly you use to mount it with is rated for the weight you put on it. [ PAUL  Dec 18, 2013 ]
How long is the span. Studs are usually 16 or 24 inches on center. You could use molys to attach the shelving to the sheet rock where there are no studs.. Get good ones. [ RAY P  Dec 17, 2013 ]
As long as you put in anchors and DO NOT exceed the weight capacity for each shelf your equipment should be more than fine. I placed my shelves between the wall studs and haven't had any type of problems. [ MELQUIADES  Dec 15, 2013 ]
I would not mount this rack in sheetrock. I don't think it would safely support your gear. I ended up mounting mine in a stud and slid my TV to one side of the TV mount to center it on the rack. It's in a bedroom so I'm not worried about the end of the wall mount showing on one end. [ CHARLIE  Dec 15, 2013 ]
Hello, I can't really answer your question because I ended up returning this item. Although the quality was fine, it was quite large and not really the look I wanted. I decided to keep my satellite dish receiver and dvd player on top of an existing entertainment center. Hope this helps! Joe [ JOSEPH  Dec 15, 2013 ]
