This innovative component rack from Sanus lets you wall-mount your audio/video gear under your flat-panel TV. Two adjustable tempered glass shelves provide stable bases for your components, supported by two sturdy extruded aluminum columns which you anchor directly to wooden wall studs.
Each column features two interior channels that let you conceal your components' signal wires separately from their power cables. This not only keeps your system looking neat and uncluttered, but also prevents performance-robbing electrical interference, so you won't have to sacrifice sound or picture quality.
The box came in intact, A bit nervous about shipping glass but got here in one piece. Good product. About the review..remove the top silver locking screw an pull up the silver bracket the screw was in. This releases the part that screws to wall. Do not attempt to remove the black hex head bolt. Its captured and is only used if needed to fine adjust the height of the black columns once they are mounted to the silver wall bracket. (you want them level).. The directions are fine..just try reading them a couple of times so they sink in.
Pros: looks good on wall, now I need a wifi denon receiver to go with the new look...you got me again....
Cons: vague reference to not mounting top shelf higher than 39 inches, why??? Not for home with rowdy kids and dogs who jump up on stuff...not a problem at my house.
Shelf works good. I wish it covered outlet box.
Pros: Hides cable very well
Cons: Doesn't cover outlet
I have looked for a while for this type of Shelf System. Once Ordered, it shipped quickly, I'm Very Satisfied and it's exactly what I wanted.
Pros: Easy to Mount & Assemble, Mounts Securely to the Wall, Spacious Shelves, Shelves Adjust Easy. Looks Great.
This shelf is a quality product,easy installation,and solid !
Pros: Plenty of shelf space for every thing you own!
I needed a heavy duty type wall mount for my audio components and this is the one that I chose to go with because of the double column, two stud mounts, and weight capacity. The install was not too bad although getting the columns to lock in to the wall plates was a little difficult. I had to tap them down with a hammer. It looks nice but, under a decent load the glass will bow. The top shelf has my cable box, center channel and dvd player on it. No problems there but, not much weight either. On the bottom shelf I only have my receiver. It weighs about 40 lbs which is why I opted for this mount. I figured 75 lb capacity would have no problems with my 40 lb receiver. I have it centered on the shelf to help distribute the weight evenly and because that is the only spot that it will fit. It does hold the weight but, the glass looks like it is bowing out. I can't reposition the receiver any other way do to the size of it. Longer support legs may have helped with my issue. Overall I would recommend this product just be sure you can evenly distribute the weight load per shelf.
Pros: Reasonable price, weight capacity (pro and con), and decent looks.
Cons: Weight needs to be VERY evenly distributed across the shelf.
Very well built. Best shelf unit I'v come across.
Pros: Build quality
Cons: I could use an even deeper shelf for my equipment
This is great for a small room, looks great.
Pros: Nice clean look.
This is a great electronics shelving unit. I have two of the narrower shelving units with single pillars from sanus in bedrooms and this wider double pillar version in the living room. They save quite a bit of space and are very stylish sitting underneath your wall mounted tv's. They are easy to install and come with everything needed to install including Allen wrenches. The 75 pound weight limit per shelf is more than enough for what I'm using it for. Crutchfield's customer support and fast free shipping is always a big plus. I have been very happy with every purchase from here.
Pros: It's very easy to install, stylish, sturdy
GREAT PRODUCT, EXCELLENT QUALITY, WORTH THE MONEY, PRETTY BASIC INSTALLATION, CRUTCHFIELD DELIVERED IN 2 DAYS AND OFFERED THE BEST PRICE. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Pros: COULD NOT ASK FOR A BETTER PRODUCT
I really like this shelf. Was relatively easy to install. Looks great on the wall. Instructions are easy to understand it they tell you all the tools you will need.
Pros: Looks great and relatively easy to install.
Cons: So far none.
Outstanding product, easy to install and has a very clean modern look which is exactly what I wanted. Sanus makes outstanding products and Crutchfield makes them available in short order. Had it at my door in two days. If you are looking for something like this you can't go wrong!
Pros: Ease of installation Fit and finish Absolute quality!
Cons: Not applicable
directions were horrible.
Great product, exactly as advertized. Easy assembly, quick customer service response.
This wall AV mount looks better on your wall than the pictures show. Well designed and practical. The only problem I had was that the studs in the wall did not lined up at the precise location where I wanted it, but I was already especting that since I didnt want my TV and AV mount off center. I modified the wall to compensate for the offset. Must say that if the wall is not completely flat you will have a little fight tryng to slide the covers on to the provided hooks. As we all know there is no perfect world. Price is a little high, but with Crutchfield behind it is acceptable!
Recently purchased the VF2022 from Crutchfield delivery was fast and
assembly faster. Hides wires well and shelves are large enough for all my
equipment (dvd, receiver, and cable box). Instructions are well written and
easy to follow. All wiring is hidden and easy to get to if I have too. Thanks
guys, once again a satisfied customer
The bad first. The two brackets are only 22 inches long. Also the manufacture states that the top shelf be a maximum of 39 inches from the floor high. If you need better directions than the included manual download the manual from the website which is more detailed and can be enlarged.
The good is that the product looks good under my 46 inches Samsung lcd. The shelves are very wide and can hold two componets next to each other and supports a lot of weight. Since I did put my Tv just above eye level the top shelf is still under 39 inches above the ground. Crutchfield has the best pictures of this product. The channels in the brackets are very spacious which was a major concern for me so I could hide all the cables and wires. I also connected a Home Theater Power Console so I only had one powercord to route.
I am very happy with my purchase. The shelf looks great and the manufacturer did some thinking before building it.

Looks like quality product, well-reviewed, need deeper shelves for components. Discussed requirements with Sam and settled on double-wide unit. [ Rebecca L Feb 07, 2016 ]
I would assume this limitation is to ensure adequate room to place typically dimensioned electronic components on the top shelf and still have room for the TV to mount ahove the unit. [ JOHN Dec 07, 2014 ]
I am not sure where the 39 inches from floor is coming from. I can tell you the Sanus VF2022 is a GREAT quality product. You will be very happy with this product. It has QUALITY all over it. Maybe the 39 inches has to do with the TV being mounted symmetrically on the wall. [ LAWRENCE J Dec 02, 2014 ]
I mounted mine at or above 50" without a problem. [ PAUL M Dec 02, 2014 ]
That statement makes absolutely no sense to me... To the point that I'ma look for those reviews context. With the correct hardware, one could mount it to the top of the Space Needle. I would comfortably remount it as high as any wall height, in any home. Safety 3rd, I suppose ;)~ [ SHAWN Dec 02, 2014 ]
The installation instructions tell you not to install the unit with the top shelf more than 39 inches above the floor but there is no real reason you can't install it higher than that, I did. Maybe the manufacturer has safety concerns about something falling and injuring someone. [ Raymond Dec 02, 2014 ]
