The Sanus Premium Series VLF515 makes it simple to wall-mount and precisely position your flat-panel TV. This full-motion bracket can support TVs with screen sizes from 51" to 70" and weighing up to 125 lbs. The articulated arm extends your TV up to 15" out from the wall. The mount lets you swivel your TV from side to side, and you can also tilt it up or down for optimal viewing.
Sanus' tools-free assembly makes setup simple. Once you've secured the brace to the wall, the arm just slides into position. A safety lock that closes with an audible click lets you know the arm is securely in place.
After installation, the mount's "roll" adjustment lets you fine-tune your TV's position to ensure that the screen is perfectly level. The arm assembly can also be shifted slightly left or right on the wall plate so the TV is centered, even if your wall studs are off-center. Finally, the mount's hollow arm lets you thread cables through it, keeping them out of sight and free from tangles.

I chose this mount for my TV because other users gave it good reviews. The mount is very sturdy and holds my TV very securely without any wobbling. It's easy to tilt and adjust the viewing angle. The mount arm slides which makes it easy to center the TV over the entertainment console. The only problem I noticed is that many of the screws & washers included with the mount were too long to securely attach it to the TV. Thankfully, the pro who mounted the TV had extra parts that worked. Dry wall anchors were included but the pro opted to use screws to secure the mount to the wall studs. It doesn't seem like the dry wall anchors would provide a safe, secure installation of a 55" television. Overall, I recommend this mount. That said, I'd recommend using flatter washers and shorter screws so the mount attaches securely to your TV. Also, the pro said it was easier to attach the arm to the TV first, rather than following manufacturer installation suggestion to put the arm on the mount first.
Pros: Attaches securely to wall studs which make it very stable. Cable management system neatly hides wires behind the TV. Holds TV pretty close to the wall yet there was ample room to mount an Apple TV. Excellent warranty
Cons: Harder to install than expected. Heavy. The plastic covers that hide the screws on the mount are very flimsy. Putting them in place before mounting the TV made the process very difficult because the lip of the arm kept getting caught on it. We opted to remove it, mount the TV and then slide the cover in place.
This thing is Sweet! I went very slow with the install because I didn't want to make any mistakes. I had to call Sanus tech support because the instructions we a little vague at one point, but the woman I spoke with was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable and my problem was worked out in no time--and this was on a Sunday afternoon! I was surprised at how heavy this thing is--at least twice as much as my TV--but it works wonderfully. I do think it is a bit pricey, but it certainly is solid. I give it a four-star rating because I had to call tech support, but I'm happy with it.
Yet another impressive TV wall mount from Sanus . It is very sturdy and of rigid design. Fairly straight forward and secure wall mounting of an expensive SUHD TV . When making a buying decision I have went towards a mount that is rated heavier then that of the TV that is being mounted to the wall. Makes a guy sleep better at night . The finished install looks great and has smooth actions when adjusting the TV. The adjustment options are straight forward and easily accessible. The inner arm of the wall mount is a great benefit to have the cord containment built into the arm .A great product !
Pros: Fairly slim and tight to the wall hugging of the finished TV mount - smooth actions of pulling and pushing the finished TV mount for final adjustments - TV to wall mount connection is secure and strong - easy to install - easy to adjust and fine tune
Cons: The wall mounting hardware ( mechanical fasteners ) are a little sub par quality ( in my opinion ) I have always believed in securing the wall mount with a higher quality fastener - for the cost put toward this quality wall mount - it would be nice if Sanus supplied a better quality fastener .
The bracket is very adjustable and quite forgivable in a right to left motion. Comes with just about all you would need to hang it properley. I have hung many tv's for customers but I do prefer this bracket.
Pros: Good adjustment, good range of motion.
Strong and sturdy. Allows me to adjust the angle of my new 55" Samsung as well as put the set out from the wall. The latter is important for being able to connect and disconnect as well as clean off the dust. My prior set also had a Sanus mount but it was flat against the wall. Mistake.
Pros: Strong. Was easily installed (by a pro, not me). Adjustable side to side angle and out from the wall.
Cons: None that I'm aware of.
Very good product, good instructions, and easy enough for an 84 year old to fit in an afternoon, with only one 'phone call to the excellent SANUS help line.
I purchased this unit based upon the recommendation from the Crutchfield sales advisor. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. This unit was EASY to install. The unit really makes the televison. The ability for multiple viewing angles that I never would have thought possible.
Pros: Ease of installation.
easy to put up. great adjustment for perfect viewing
Pros: quick easy install, good price
I really like this product. It is well engineered, especially to make it easy to install. The TV installation was a breeze, the adjustments were excellent, the movement easy. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the spacers. The spacers are required on some TVs and the ones supplied with this unit are polymeric and have too low a modulus for the weight rating. All plastics are subject to creep under load, and creep these did, resulting in a bending moment (torque) placed upon the TV mounts. A few dollars spent at the local hardware store for steel (27 million modulus!!) resulted in a perfect fit with appropriate spacers and washers.
Pros: Easy installation, well engineered for application. Plenty of adjustments. Designed for easy install and use. Excellent instructions and templates.
Cons: Polymeric spacers have too low a modulus for the application. Aluminum or steel would have made a perfect unit. You can do this yourself.
I ask Crutchfield to give me a wall hangar to mount my awsome TV I ordered from them and their choice was excellent. This Sanus hanger is the best. They supply you with all the parts you need to mount it including a stud finder. The best universal hanger in my opinion. Thanks Crutchfield !!
Pros: Everything you need to mount it. They give you bolts and anchors for every senario. Easy to follow step by step instructions.
Full-Motion Design: The Sanus Premium Series VLF515 full-motion, wall-mount bracket provides a 3-points of movement for an optimal viewing position. The VLF515 extends from the wall (3.625"-15"), tilts up/down (+5°/-15°), and swivels left or right (+/-55°) for easy viewing anywhere in the room.
TV Capacity: The Sanus Premium Series VLF515 wall-mount bracket is designed to support flat-panel TVs from 51" to 70", weighing up to 125 lbs.
VESA Bolt Pattern: The VLF515 full-motion, wall-mount bracket accommodates a horizontal hole spacing on back of the TV of 300mm-700mm and a vertical hole spacing of 200mm-400mm. The Sanus VLF515 comes with M4, M5, M6, and M8 size bolts of differing lengths to mount the bracket to your TV. It will accommodate the following VESA hole patterns in accordance with industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association:
Note: Additional hardware may be required for your specific model of TV. For example; shorter or longer screws, thicker or slimmer washers or spacers. These additional accessories can often be found at your local hardware store.
Construction: The bracket is constructed of heavy-gauge steel and high-impact plastic with a durable powder-coated black finish.
Perfect Positioning: The TV brackets and arm assembly let your television slide from side-to-side on the wall-mount plate for perfect positioning of the TV on your wall. There are also two level adjustment screws on the TV bracket to raise or lower (+/-3°) the sides of the TV.
Note: The wall plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a brick, block, or concrete wall using the supplied lag bolts (and wall-anchors). The slots in the wall plate can accommodate wall studs 16" and 24" on center.
Safety Tabs: Once the wall plate is anchored to the wall studs, the arm assembly can be hooked into the wall bracket. An integrated safety tab on the TV bracket provides a safe and easy connection to the wall bracket you can hear. The TV brackets are then attached to the back of your television and then mounted to the assembly arm; a safety knob & tab secures it in place.
Cable Management: An in-arm cable management channel protects and conceals cables the length of the arm for a clean appearance, while decorative covers conceal assembly and mounting hardware of the wall-plate for a finished appearance.
Installation Tools: The following tools are recommended for mounting the VLF515:

I forwarded your question to an Advisor and they responded with the following: It is very possible that it would work for your 50" TV. You will want to check the mounting pattern that the TV offers as this mount offers the following mounting options: 300mm x 200mm, 300mm x 300mm, 400mm x 300mm, 400mm x 400mm, 500mm x 300mm, 500mm x 400mm, 600mm x 400mm and 700mm x 400mm. If the bolt pattern on the back of your TV matches one of these measurements then you should be fine. If you would like to discuss further you can contact an Advisor directly by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. [ Krissy Jan 12, 2015 ] Staff
It was my intention to mount a 55" Flat surface Sony, but have now considered the 65' again Flat Surface. I can not answer as to if a curved surface TV would mount, but the Sanus Premium came highly reccommended from Sony even though they own their own brand i.e. Performa. [ DAVID Dec 07, 2014 ]
Well you need to answer your own question on this. The bracket has about 15 inches of movement staight off the wall. your question is vague on info. I think you want to mount your tv in the corner. So the bracket will mount to one of the walls. You simply bring the bracet out of the corner far enough so the tv fits. I hope that helped. [ BRYAN Dec 05, 2014 ]
I had a similar application next to my fireplace. I do not think you will get a 45 degree angle from the bracket on a tv that large. I would guess about 30 degree max. You can slide the actual tv mount on a rail and cheat to one end to gain some angle [ WILLIAM Dec 05, 2014 ]
Yes I feel this bracket would work for that mounting situation [ michael Dec 04, 2014 ]
