Mount your large TV close to your wall

The slender Sanus VLT16 mount holds your TV a scant 7/8" from the wall, great for installations where you want ot keep the mounting depth to a minimum. An innovative Virtual Axis™ system lets you tilt your TV forward for optimal viewing, despite its closeness to the wall. The VLT16 can support a TV with a screen size of up to 80", and a weight of up to 125 lbs.

The mount's brackets can easily be shifted to the right or left, in case the wall studs are a little off-center. You can also make small adjustments after the mount is affixed to the wall to level it, or even change the height. And the handy ClickStand at the bottom of each vertical brace swings out to prop your mounted TV away from the wall, to make cable hookup a breeze — without removing the TV from the mount.

Features

TV Capacity: The Sanus VLT16 wall-mount bracket is designed to support flat-panel TVs from 40" to 85", weighing up to 125 lbs.

Construction: The bracket is constructed of heavy-gauge steel and high-impact plastic with a durable powder-coated black finish.

Super Slim & Tilt Design: The VLT16 features a super slim design that positions your TV only 0.82" from the wall. The VLT16 even lets you tilt your television downward by 10°.

Exclusive Installation Features: The VLT16 offers exclusive features that make it incredibly easy to install and use.

  • Adjustable Virtual Axis Technology: Adjustable Virtual AxisT technology allows the bracket's tilt tension to be adjusted to compensate for a variety of TV depths.
  • ProSet Post-Installation: ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustments allow your TV to be perfectly positioned after hanging.
  • ClickStand Technology: ClickStand technology holds the TV away from the wall for easy cable access without having to remove the TV from the mount.

VESA Mount Bolt Pattern: The VLT16's TV bracket consists of two vertical brackets with multiple slots that can accommodate a vertical hole spacing of 100mm-400mm on back of your TV. The vertical brackets slide along the VLT16's horizontally-mounted wall bracket, accommodating a horizontal hole spacing of 25mm-750mm on back of your television. The Sanus VLT16 comes with M4, M6, and M8 size bolts of differing lengths to mount the bracket to your TV. Given the mounting bracket's range of motion, it will accommodate the following VESA hole patterns in accordance with industry standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association:

  • 100mm x 100mm, 100mm x 150mm, 100mm x 200mm
  • 200mm x 100mm, 200mm x 200mm, 200mm x 300mm, 200mm x 400mm

  • 600mm x 100mm, 600mm x 200mm, 600mm x 300mm, 600mm x 400mm

Note: Additional hardware may be required for your specific model of TV. For example; shorter or longer screws, thicker or slimmer washers or spacers. These additional accessories can often be found at your local hardware store.

16" or 24" OC: The  VLT16's wall plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a solid concrete or concrete block wall using the supplied lag bolts (and wall-anchors). Customer Q&A

2 questions already asked

Q
Why is the minimum 51 inches? Is it due to the with of the bar?

A
The mounting bar is 29" wide so as to provide side-to-side adjustment while mounted on two wall studs (16" apart). With a 51" TV, that would leave just 22" of "hiding space" to split between the two sides (~11"). Adjust the TV side to side a bit to align with furniture, etc. and you may see the end of the bar peeking out when looking from an angle on any TV smaller than that.. I have this great mount on a 60" curved TV and can't see the mount except for an extreme angle.

Yes, the bar would likely show beyond the sides of the TV if your TV is less than 51". If you have the capability to cut metal, you could probably trim some length off the bar. That said, this wall mount is likely overkill for a TV that's smaller than 51", and no guarantees that the VESA wall mount pattern for the smaller TV would work with the available hole patterns on the vertical members.
