Sanus' ultra-thin VisionMount® VMF408 holds your flat-panel LCD or plasma TV just 1-1/8" from the wall when fully retracted. Sanus' glide system makes it easy to position your TV exactly where you want it.  Just pull on the mount and it smoothly extends outwards up to 8", and you can also tilt your mounted TV downward, swivel it from side to side, and make minor adjustments even with the arm extended.

The mount's decorative cover conceals the assembly and hardware, giving it a finished appearance that compliments your display. Cable guides keep wires organized and out of sight without interfering with motion of the extending arm. This durable heavy-gauge steel mount supports a TV with a screen size up to 50" and weighing up to 60 lbs. The mount's brackets can easily be shifted to the right or left, in case the wall studs are a little off-center.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Easy to Follow Directions, need it to both swivel and tilt, met my exceptions, Had to modify plate to get at cable attachment on frame

Pros: Wish it tiled a lift more but may have if I mounted it lower

Cons: Don't understand why I had to trim/cut bracket to attach cable wire, may be my error

Good wall mount...

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I got the Sanus VMF408 as it was the least expensive wall mount to go with my new Samsung UN40F6300. Setup took quite some time. I spent the good portion of the afternoon installing. It appears to be good quality and sits very solid on my wall. I still use component video cables for VCR, and needed to purchase a 90 degree adapter to help them fit. There is free access to all other inputs. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is because I can't seem to get this to sit flat against the wall. The cords feed into a wire mold cord cover (CMK30), and the extra slack I need to pull the TV out when angling left and right gets in the way of allowing it to sit flat. I'm sure with more effort I can get it working better. Overall I'm very happy with the wall mount.

Pros: Very solid on the wall.

Cons: Have yet been able to adjust the cords so it sits flat against the wall.
