Sanus VisionMount VMPL50A is a tilting wall-mount for 32" to 70" flat-panel TVs.
The VMPL50A's solid heavy-gauge steel construction offers a sleek, high-tech
look while providing strength and durability. The VMPL50A utilizes Sanus
Systems' Virtual Axis tilting system to provide easy adjustment of viewing angle with just the touch of a finger. The Sanus wall-mount
also features ProSet post-installation height and leveling adjustment to ensure
your TV is perfectly positioned after hanging. Adjustable TV brackets
offer lateral shift ability to allow perfect TV placement, even with off-center
wall studs. Your flat-panel TV will be positioned just 1.8125" from the wall for
a clean, low-profile appearance.
Compatibility: The Sanus VMPL50A
universal wall-mount bracket is designed to fit flat-panel
plasma and LCD monitors from 32" to 70". The TV can have a maximum
weight of 150 pounds.
Construction: The bracket is
constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a durable powder coated black finish.
Mounting: The wall
plate must be mounted to wall studs or anchored to a brick, block, or concrete
wall using the supplied lag bolts. The slots in the wall plate can accommodate a
variety of stud spacing, allowing you to easily mount the TV to wall studs that
are 16" or 24" on center. Once the wall plate is anchored to the wall studs and
the monitor brackets (with the TV attached) are snapped into the wall plate, the TV can slide left to right,
allowing you to center the TV on the wall. After
the TV is secured, it will be held approximately 1.8125" from the wall.
Note: Each monitor bracket has
multiple bolt holes and can accommodate vertical hole
spacing (on the back of the TV) up to 17.25" (437mm). Since the
monitor brackets can slide on the wall plate, the horizontal hole spacing on the
back of the TV can range from 1.9375"
to 26.5" (48 to 673mm).
Steel Stud Mounting: If you wish to mount this Sanus wall mount in a
building with steel stud walls, you will need the Sanus SSMK1 Steel Stud
Mounting Kit (051SSMK1). Steel stud walls are typically found in commercial applications,
such as office buildings, warehouses, and condominiums.
Mounting Hardware/Bolt Pattern: The VMPL50A
comes with M4, M6, and M8 bolts to mount the monitor brackets to your TV.Given the mounting bracket's range of motion,
it will accommodate the following VESA hole patterns in accordance with industry
standards set by the Video Electronics Standards Association:
- 100mm x 100mm
- 200mm x 100mm
- 200mm x 200mm
- 300mm x 200mm
- 300mm x 300mm
- 400mm x 200mm
- 400mm x 300mm
- 400mm x 400mm
- 500mm x 200mm
- 500mm x 300mm
- 500mm x 400mm
- 600mm x 400mm
Note: Additional hardware may be required for your specific
model of TV. For example; shorter or longer screws, thicker or slimmer
washers or spacers. These additional accessories can often be found at your
local hardware store.
Rail Design: The wall-mount's rail design allows your mounted
television to shift left and right for perfect placement, even with off-center
ProSet Post-Installation: The ProSet feature allows you to
also make height (+/-5") and level (+/-2.5°) adjustments.
Virtual Axis Technology: Once the TV
is secured to the wall, you can adjust the TV's angle. With
the Virtual Axis fingertip tilt system, the TV can tilt 8.5°
up or 10° down, and you can lock
the position by simply tightening a knob on each monitor bracket.

- Stud finder
- Tape Measure
- Phillips-head screwdriver
- Electric drill
- Drill bits: 7/32" (wood studs) and 3/8" (masonry)
- Wrench or ratchet and socket: 1/2"
