Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

he Sanus mount was very sturdy (a bit heavy so you will need two people to install) for my 65' Plasma TV. It has a very simple and straightforward design and plenty of mounting holes. With the optional adapter extension bracket I was able to secure it to three studs. I needed the adapter as I have an 2012 Panasonic Plasma with non standard mounting holes. The adapter gave me greater flexibility in locating my mount on the wall ad ensuring a sturdy fit. The tilt function provides ample access to cables and connections behind the TV as well as a great viewing angle which allowed me to mount the TV sightly higher than I normally would. Very pleased with the quality of the design, manufacture and function.

Pros: Very sturdy, worked as designed for the Sanus mount, easy to install.

Cons: Heavy, cost - a bit expensive relative to the cost of the mount.

Must have for huge TV

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I needed a wide mount for a 130 lb 65inch plasma on a wall with the worse stud location ever. This adapter along with the mount did the trick perfectly. I don't think there is a wider mount out there. So if your tv is big and your studs are larger then 16 inches with one right in the center (like mine) you will need this product. And I got it in one day.

Pros: Perfect match for the sanus mount.

Cons: it's heavy. Put it on the heavy mount and it's heavier. Get some help to mount it, but you'll need help to lift the TV anyway.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered the VMXA1 from Crutchfield to use with a Panasonic P65VT30 65" plasma installation on a Sanus VMPL3. The VMXA1 allows for more flexibility in using 3 wall studs and still allowing for left to right adjustment. Excellent product support and transaction from Crutchfield, couldn't be happier.

Overview: The Sanus VMXA1 expansion plate replaces the center plate provided with the VMPL3 bracket (item 051VMPL3B). The VMXA1 is 8" wider than the center plate included with the VMPL3, and it's designed to hold up to 280 lbs. When the VMXA1 center plate is used, it allows the overall width of the Sanus VMPL3 wall mount assembly to be adjusted from 35" to 50". With the expansion plate in place, the VMPL3 will work with TVs that have a horizontal mounting hole spacing as wide as 48.5". The vertical hole spacing of up to 25.625" for the VMPL3 stays the same. The VMXA1 center-plate is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a durable powder coated black finish. The VMXA1 uses the same hardware as the original VMPL3 center plate, so no additional hardware is needed.

Dimensions: The Dimensions of the Sanus VMXA1 center plate is as follows.
