Q
Going to mount a new 32 inch tv and taking my old one down. Do I just take out the 4 screws on the back to take down old tv?

A
Remove one allen screw on the top part of the arm and pull straight up and the whole thing comes off. Very easy

Q
will this fit a 24" flat screen tv Model# WD24HB6101?

A
Best recommendation is to measure location of thread holes in back of TV to assure they match up with wall mount.
benny  Dec 29, 2020
Q
On the SANUS vsf415 can it come out straight from the wall any distance? I will mount the tv (an LG 28) under a wall cabinet.
adam  Feb 23, 2020

A
Yes, of course, it will bring your TV out anywhere from about 3 inches to about 13-1/2 inches from the wall. I own two of these, one with a Sharp and one with a Samsung TV, and I have found them to offer the most flexibility in positioning my TV's for a variety of viewing situations. They also make it easier to neatly manage wiring and cabling behind the TV's.
john a.  Feb 26, 2020
A
Yes. It will extend the full length of the two arms straight out if you want.
ronald  Feb 23, 2020
A
Yes, to the full extent of the arm.

Q
I am looking at installing this in a firehouse. Can you lock it in place when traveling down the road so it does not swing around?
bruce  Oct 23, 2017

A
The mechanism is pretty rigid, if you push the tv back against the wall sure it would stay put....unless it's mounted IN the firetruck...
brian  Oct 23, 2017
A
Great for a fire-house, but not a fire-truck. Tightening the bolts on the extension arms holds them very tight and stable in a non moving environment. Might work on the truck as long as the bracket and monitor were secured in a padded, locked enclosure during travel.
edwin  Oct 23, 2017
A
Maybe if you tighten the screws on the arm hard enough and fold against the wall will do the job.
javier  Oct 23, 2017
A
No, it's on a swivel hinge. Any television mounted on this bracket will either need to be bungee corded or ratchet strapped for travel on the road.
matt  Oct 23, 2017
Q
can you easily disconnect the tv and move to another similar stand for outdoor viewing as well as inside the house?
rob  Nov 22, 2014

A
I believe so because we installed it by attaching the TV bracket to the TV and the wall bracket to the wall and then lifting the TV with its half of the bracket on to the wall half. Therefor the answer is yes.
c michael  Nov 26, 2014
A
I have not tried to do that. However, as I assembled the rack and mounted the TV, it seems that it would be simple to do.
gerald  Nov 25, 2014
A
No, not easily. The TV is held on by 4 screws; it is not a lift-off or un-clip design. But this is an excellent stand for swinging the TV for viewing at different angles.
richard  Nov 24, 2014
A
I'd say it is fairly easy. The part that is attached to the TV itself, simply slides into the top of the part which is mounted on the wall. Pulling it up and off the wall-mounted part and then sliding in onto another wall-mounted part is not complicated if you can manage the weight of the TV without problems.
diana  Nov 24, 2014
A
Not really. It's not a quick disconnect.
james  Nov 24, 2014
A
If you are looking to move the tv around I'd recommend leaving the mounting bracket attached to the tv and simply pull the bolt that keeps the swivel hinge together. The hinge is a sleeve several inches long; the bolt makes the connection secure but is not absolutely necessary. Then you can lift off the tv with one half of the arm and slide it into another mounted bracket. You just need to make sure you don't use the cable mgmt compartment in the half of the arm that will be travelling with the tv.
jose  Nov 24, 2014
A
Yes. However it is difficult putting the trv back. Need a person holding it
craig  Nov 24, 2014
A
the part where the mounting plate connects to the arm is 1 allen head bolt with captured nut, if using identical VSF415 the swap could be made by just unscrewing this bolt but it could be awkward without a helper
