Your breath fogs the air on a crisp fall morning but your Nikon 8 x 42 binoculars stay clear as a bell thanks to their O-ring sealed, nitrogen-filled construction. The wide 42mm objectives on this meticulously crafted optical instrument gather in the available light and deliver crisp, clean images. Fine optics make for fine images, and fine images make for success in pursuing your quarry, whether you're adding a new species to your watch list or tracking an eight-point buck.
The body that houses those optics is no slouch either. It features a solid, die-cast magnesium-alloy build, and it's covered with a rubber armor coating that's easy to grip, whether you're hunkering down in the rain or hiking a mountain ridge on a breezy, sunny day. These are binoculars that are ready for action, no matter where you find it.
All elements feature multilayer coatings for enhanced brightness and crisp resolution. And the prism elements feature phase correction and special silver coatings for even better performance in changing light.

Overview: The Nikon Premier 8 x 42 waterproof binocular provides superb optical performance in the field under virtually any conditions. The sturdy, die-cast magnesium body makes it lightweight without sacrificing durability. It features high-quality optics and prisms to give you bright, clear images. The Premier 8 x 42 comes with a neck strap and a soft, leather storage case.
Waterproof: The Premier 8 x 42 is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to prevent fogging, and to protect the internal optics from condensation and mold. The binoculars should suffer no damage to the optical system if submerged or dropped in water to a maximum depth of 1 meter for up to 10 minutes. The Premier can be used in areas of high humidity or rain without worry.
Multi-coated Optics: The Premier binoculars feature lead- and arsenic-free Eco-Glass lenses, with proprietary lens and prism coatings. The lenses feature multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds for excellent brightness and resolution. The eyepieces have aspherical lenses to give you a flat field of view without aberration. The Premier delivers high-contrast images with accurate color reproduction, due to the high reflection silver prism coatings.
Focus Knob: The Premier has a smooth, central quick focus knob for bringing your subject into focus.
Locking Diopter Ring: The right eyepiece has a diopter ring for adjusting the binoculars to your eyesight. A diopter index indicates the "0" position, as well as eight "+" and "-" positions. The diopter ring lifts up for adjustment, and returns to its original locked position.
Turn-and-Slide Rubber Eyecups: The multi-setting, click-stop rubber eyecups make it easy to position your eyes at the correct eye-point for the greatest comfort during extended use. The Premiers offer a long, 20mm eye relief, allowing you to get a full field-of-view through the binoculars, even while wearing eyeglasses.
Rubber Coating: The body of the Premier has a durable rubber-armored coating to give you a non-slip grip, and to protect the binoculars in virtually any weather.
