Overview: The Nikon FSA-L1 allows you to attach a Nikon DSLR camera to select Nikon Fieldscopes. This Digiscoping attachment will transform the fieldscope into a super-telephoto lens for taking spectacular close-up images. The attachment comes with a soft Nylon case that can be looped through the straps of your camera or fieldscope case.
Compatibility: The FSA-L1 has a screw-in mount for the scope and an F-mount for the Nikon DSLR. The attachment is compatible with most Nikon DSLRs. Photos should be taken in manual focus mode, and in either Aperture Priority or Manual exposure mode. Center-weighted and Spot metering systems are compatible; Matrix metering is not. In many cases, you may need to use exposure compensation, and Auto Exposure Bracketing, if available, offers a convenient way to do this.
Selector: A 4-position selector (A, B, C, D) can be found on the bottom of the attachment under a protective cover. This selector is for setting the attachment to the corresponding fieldscope, and is adjusted with a small screwdriver (included).
Camera Clamp: The FSA-L1 has a clamp screw on the side of the camera mount that allows you to rotate the camera freely and lock it into place in the desired orientation.
