Good looks and hot performance! Aiwa's CDC-X437 CD receiver will make your music jump with plenty of power (22 watts RMS/45 peak x 4) and the low-frequency kick delivered by H-Bass. And your dash will look great, thanks to the stylish detachable control panel and the highly-legible blue display with its backlit white characters.

Operation is simple — all system adjustments (volume, tone, fader, balance, bass boost, etc.) are made with the "Smart Jog" rotary knob. The Source Level Adjuster ends those startling volume jumps when switching between sources (AM, FM, CD, and auxiliary). A wireless remote control lets you make system changes without taking your eyes off the road.

In addition to prerecorded CDs, the CDC-X437 also plays your home-recorded CD-Rs and CD-RWs. For more entertainment options, hook up a video game, portable music player, or any audio source to the convenient front-panel auxiliary input. If the forecast includes big bass, you'll appreciate having a set of preamp outputs to drive an external amp and subwoofer.

Why replace your factory radio?

Two good reasons - sound quality and cool features. A new car stereo offers power that's superior to most factory radios, along with more sophisticated tone controls. And most car stereos offer built-in or optional features that add safety and fun to life in your car, including inputs for your iPod or MP3 player, Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free cell phone calls, satellite radio or HD Radio reception, and connections for building an audio system in your car.

Features

Smart Jog Knob: This unit is equipped with a large rotary knob that provides a convenient way to make adjustments. Volume, bass, treble, balance, fader, H-Bass and clock adjustments are made using the Smart Jog knob.

Source Level Adjuster: The relative level of each source (FM/AM/CD/AUX) may be adjusted, from -4 to +4, and the setting will be retained in memory. The level of each source can be set so there won't be drastic leaps in volume when changing from one source to another.

H-Bass: Instead of a loudness control, this unit is equipped with an H-Bass function. Conventional bass boost circuits also affect the mid-bass and midrange, resulting in a muddy, "boomy" sound. H-Bass provides true deep bass enhancement for a dynamic bottom end that does not destroy the clarity of vocals and other mid-frequency content. H-Bass enhancement can be switched on or off.

Front Panel Auxiliary Input: A front panel stereo mini-jack is provided to allow the connection of a portable audio source. Just connect your portable cassette, MD or MP3 player to this unit, and you can listen to the audio from the portable player through the speakers in your mobile audio system.

Active Tuning Reception Control: This unit automatically suppresses FM noise caused by vehicle movement, and maintains sound quality.

Intro Play: During CD play, you can locate a desired track by playing the first 10 seconds of each track on the disc.
