About the TEAC LS-301
Great sound and good looks
Great sound and good looks
Experience the crisp highs, surprisingly deep bass, and open soundstage that TEAC's LS-301 speakers deliver. These compact bookshelf speakers have the ability to breathe new life into your music. They're ideal for stereo setups in smaller rooms, or as part of a high-performance desktop audio system. Just add a matching amplifier, such as TEAC's A-H01 or AI-301DA and listen to these babies sing. Their curved cabinets and handsome finish make them a welcome addition to any system.
The TEAC LS-301's coaxial driver produces superb sound and stereo imaging.
Engineered for high-resolution
TEAC designed the LS-301s to reproduce extended high-frequencies for accurate, high-resolution playback. Each speaker's coaxial driver employs a silk-coated 3/4" dome tweeter for smooth, detailed highs, and a 4" resin-coated fiber cone woofer for warm mids and tight, tuneful bass. High-quality crossover components and careful positioning of the crossovers to avoid the tweeters' magnetic fields ensure your music remains clear and distortion-free. The LS-301s even feature diamond-cut metal speaker trim-rings that not only contribute to their good looks, but also help suppress unwanted resonance from coloring the sound.

Features
Two-Way Coaxial Design: The TEAC LS-301 bookshelf loudspeaker employs a coaxial design, where the woofer and tweeter are both positioned o the same axis to create a superb sense of sonic cohesiveness. The TEAC LS-301 speaker includes a 0.75" soft-dome tweeter specially coated with silk to deliver clear, pure high frequencies. The 4" woofer uses a pulp cone that's been enhanced with a special resin coating to reproduce heavy, low-pitched frequencies with depth.
Crossover Network: In the crossover network, a film condenser is used to achieve higher level of sound quality, along with an air-core coil in the woofer. The network is carefully positioned so that it is not affected by the magnetic fields emitted by the tweeter coil.
Air Direct Center Pole System: The TEAC LC-301's Air Direct Center Pole System does a brilliant job of converting the kinetic energy from the woofer into cone movements that deliver sound. However, just as importantly, the system also suppresses and minimizes its own effect upon the tweeter, so allowing the high frequency driver to work at its best.
Bass Reflex Enclosure: The TEAC LS-301 bookshelf loudspeakers employ a bass reflex cabinet with a rear-firing port for greater efficiency and bigger bass response. The LS-301 also features diamond-cut metal speaker trim-rings to help suppress unwanted resonances from the speaker. The cabinets are wrapped in a wood-grain vinyl and come with detachable cloth grilles.
Binding-Post Speaker Terminals: The bookshelf speakers are fitted with gold-plated, binding-post speaker terminals which will accept bare wire (up to 10AWG), pin-connectors, spade connectors, and banana plugs (single only). The binding posts are color-coded (red/black) for easy identification between positive and negative.
Mounting Options: The bookshelf speakers are designed to be placed vertically on a table-top, shelf, or stands. The speakers do not include any type of wall-mount bracket or keyhole slots. The optional PinPoint heavy duty side-grip wall-mounting bracket (121AM40B, sold separately) can be used to wall mount the speakers.
