Tuned for maximum bass

Here's the bass — Boston Acoustics' G110PD enclosed subwoofer puts the rumble in your sound system, matching a pair of G1 Series 10" subwoofers with a ported box that's optimized to deliver the most bass possible. The GTuned enclosure uses Boston's unique venting to increase bass output without adding the noise that inferior ports can cause. Boston Acoustics assembles and tunes the box in the U.S.A., and its 3/4" medium-density fiberboard construction offers extra strength and stability.

Get the most out of your mono amplifier

The enclosure handles up to 400 watts RMS total, and its 2-ohm total impedance draws maximum power from your mono sub amp. You'll get clean signal flow through the nickel-plated terminals, and heavy-duty carpeting protects the box and your car's interior. Place the G110PD in your trunk or cargo area, connect a compatible amp and wiring, and take your music to a deeper level.

Enclosed Subwoofers 101

An enclosed subwoofer is a box with a subwoofer already installed. The advantage to buying an enclosed sub is that the manufacturer made the sub, then designed and built the box as a perfect match, so you'll get the best possible performance. Every enclosed sub has a maximum RMS power handling rating, so pair it with an amp with a similar RMS power rating to get the best performance.

I've been using it for about a week now and it sounds awesome. Big boom with my 500w amp. Already managed to blow the fuse in them (even though they are rated to handle up to 800w???). Been going strong since.

Pros: Very sturdy enclosure. Good sound. Big boom.

Cons: Blew a fuse in less than a week while under max wattage.

Great bass, great price

I installed this in my '02 Isuzu Rodeo. The sound quality I had with the factory stereo just didn't fit my needs, and it was definitely time for an upgrade. These Boston Acoustics sound amazing in the ported enclosure and really make a huge difference in sound than what I was listening to.

Pros: The sound from these subs are awesome. I had no problem getting this item installed. It is a must if you are also looking for an upgrade. The price was unbelievable as well. You can always trust Crutchfield to deliver the best products at such awesome prices.

Cons: The only con I have is that I hadn't purchased this earlier.

I was worried that this purchase was not going to be good, I have always went for 12" subs so I was worried this 10s wouldn't sound good but man was I wrong... Apart from the amazing appearance they sound good have them hooked up to a great amp that pushes 800 RMS and it the bass it produces is so clean and everybody that listens to it loves it so much and can't believe it's coming out of some 10's... I really recommend this subs just make sure you pair it up with a good amp and you won't believe your ears.

Pros: Awesome look, well built and they sound great.

Cons: I wish they had grills so I can protect them...

great sound qiality

Had this setup with matching GT2125 amp 600 rms @ 2ohms at 14 volts had 13.75 volts to it in a suburban the sound was deep, accurate, and low exactly how I like my sound with rap and r&b but when I have some ZZ Top playing or Ozzy its nice and punchy even oldies sound good on these subs and the fact it has a built in fuse next to the terminals is a plus its self but more so because it saved my subs when I accidently had the bass all the way on my CD player and I cranked it and my subs cut off n I thought I blew n remembered the fuse and it was blown so replaced it n was back to good sounding music thanks to Bostons quality products and the box is also built very well will also recommend atleast 500 rms of real power n 15 hours brake in time.

Cons: Sounds better in a SUV rather than my car but I think the main factor is my car only puts out about 12 volts. Because the quality n bass is still there just not as loud.

Product Research

Overview: The Boston Acoustics GTuned G110PD subwoofer enclosure features two 10" G110-4 subwoofers. The woofers' 4-ohm voice coils are wired in parallel to present a 2-ohm load for optimum power output from Boston GT amplifiers. The cabinet is made of MDF (Medium-Density Fiberboard) with glued dado ends.

Woofer Design: The G1 subwoofer has a copolymer cone with a raised polypropylene dust cap and a large foam surround. It features a wrap-around gasket which gives you a superior seal. The basket features the patented RadialVent cooling technology which directs the airflow around the 2" voice coil to increase power handling.

Terminals: The terminal cup is inset into the enclosure for a tight seal and a finished look. The nickel-plated, heavy-duty spring post terminals accept pin connectors, single or dual banana plugs, and bare wire up to 10 gauge.

Long Excursion: The woofers have a 1-3/4" peak-to-peak excursion for accurate deep bass output.

SureSet Protection: The input terminal is equipped with a 7.5-amp ATC fuse for voice coil protection under transient conditions such as accidental momentary overdrive. Use of the standard automotive style fuses allows you to quickly service the woofer in case a fuse is blown during use.

Note: The fuses do not protect against voice-coil failure resulting from long term high power abuse.

GTuned Port: Relying on a longstanding Boston technique, this GTuned enclosure features PowerVent tuning to deliver a perfect blend of extension, impact, and efficiency. The large port reduces turbulence and keeps your bass crisp, clear and deep, even under heavy use. The G110PD enclosure is tuned to 36 Hz.
