The G3 Series subwoofers from Boston Acoustics incorporate innovative technologies with advanced materials for low-frequency firepower that'll enhance any type of music. The patented RadialVent® cooling system shunts heat away from the voice coil, and the ultra-rigid chassis provides a rugged platform for high-powered bass.
The 12" G312-44 dual voice coil subwoofer features a rigid copolymer woofer cone and a large compressed foam surround. Extended cone excursion lets these subs pound out ultra-low notes, while the 2-1/2" voice coils handle 375 total watts RMS for bass that hits hard. Boston's unique SureSet fuse configuration makes it easy to switch the total impedance between 2 and 8 ohms, and it protects the voice coils from overload when the music is cranked.
This multi-purpose sub works well in all sizes and types of enclosures. You can install this sub with Boston's GTR Tunable Radiator for a big boost in bass level without a large enclosure. The gasket allows for standard and inverted mounting so you can get creative with your installation.
Note: If you are wiring this DVC sub for lower impedance, make sure that your amp is compatible. Most 2-channel car amplifiers are stable down to 2 ohms in standard mode, or 4 ohms in bridged operation. Most mono amps are stable down to 2 ohms.
