Boston Acoustics takes much of the technology they developed for their top-of-the-line GT Reference amps, and uses it in their latest GTA Series amplifiers. The GTA-1000m mono amplifier puts out up to 1,000 watts RMS to your subwoofer system more than enough power to get your bass rockin'. Boston Acoustics' Q-Tune technology lets you tune your bass so you get maximum performance from your sub/enclosure combination. The inputs feature special noise-cancellation circuitry that ensures clean reproduction of your music all the way through to your speakers.
The GTA-1000m's compact size allows it to fit in more vehicles, while the Integral Mounting System puts the mounting holes in each corner of the frame, instead of using protruding tabs that waste space. You'll find all connections and adjustment controls located on one side of the amp, for a neat installation and easy adjustment. Variable low-pass and subsonic filters let you tune the amplified signal so your system can sound its best. An optional wired remote control gives you the power to tweak the bass level from the front seat.

My system has plenty of power. Who needs an amp?
You might think you don't need an amp because you have a 400-watt system in your car, or because your new stereo puts out 50 watts a channel. But those are peak wattage ratings, which may boil down to 15 or 20 watts per channel, using the more realistic RMS rating. An amp sends your speakers the power they need to deliver your music with clarity and impact, whether you're using factory speakers or high-performance components. And low-frequency reproduction requires lots of power, so an amp is an absolute must if you're adding a sub to your system.
Boston Acoustics GTA-1000M Reviews
Average Customer Review:
Boston amp GTA-1000M
Ease of Use
Installed in my 1500 HD GMC running 4 - 8 inch subs 4 ohm load . Deep rich bass with no distortion . At higher volumes with the gain slightly above half , it shakes the sleeves on my shirt . Advisor sent me the wiring diagram I needed for the four ohm load as well as suggesting this amp. If I had to do it all over again , I would do it exactly the same .
Pros: Plenty of power for my application . Easy to install . Customer support was fantasitc .

2Ω Stable: The GTA-1000M is 2Ω stable; the lower impedance offers higher output power:
- 600 watts x 1 @ 4 Ω
- 1000 watts x 1 @ 2 Ω
Controls and Terminals: All the controls and terminals are conveniently mounted on one side of the amp.
Gain: Adjust the input sensitivity with this rotary control; the range is 0.2 Volts to 5.0 Volts for line-level and 0.4 Volts to 10.0 Volts for speaker-level.
Crossover Frequency: The low-pass crossover is always engaged, with a crossover point continuously variable from 50 Hz to 150 Hz; the slope is 12 dB/octave.
Subsonic Filter: The subsonic (high-pass) filter is always on and is continuously variable from 10 Hz to 50 Hz; the slope is 12 dB/octave.
Q-Tune: Once the subsonic crossover point has been set, use the rotary Q-Tune control to increase the bass information centered around the crossover point.
Speaker-level Input: Use the included speaker-level input harness when the receiver has no RCA outputs.
Line-level Input: Left and right RCA jacks for the input signal from the head unit.
GTA-RSL: RJ-14 port; connect an optional GTA-RSL remote level control (item number 065GTARSL, sold separately).
