High-fidelity Bluetooth
The system features aptX® audio coding, an advanced type of Bluetooth wireless streaming that retains virtually all the detail of the audio signal it carries. If your smartphone or tablet is compatible with this technology, you'll get even better performance.

The MC100 Blue Bluetooth speaker plays your music with a wide range and very natural sound reproduction, so you can enjoy music as the artist intended (and not rely on the tiny speakers found in your mobile phone, tablet, or computer). Chances are, you'll hear notes and instruments you hadn't noticed before. The MC100 Blue also features BassTrac circuitry for consistent, superior sound. BassTrac is a Boston-designed patented technology that controls bass output dynamically dependent on volume level for satisfying bass at any listening level.
Elegant Styling: High-grade materials both inside and outside the speaker add to the simple style. The buttons are discreetly located on the top, conveniently positioned for intuitive use. A seamless base positions the speaker so it leans back slightly to create an elegant look. The clean, minimalist design of the MC100 blends easily into its surroundings and is perfectly suited for the home or office setting. The only color you will see is a blue LED volume indicator behind the grille, which lights only when the volume is changing.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming + aptX: The Boston Acoustics MC100 Blue features built-in Bluetooth A2DP/AVRCP technology which allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, or laptop/computer. You'll be able to stream stored music or music apps from your Bluetooth-enabled device and control playback from the included remote control. The MC100 Blue also features aptX which allows for CD-quality sound when streaming from a Bluetooth device that also includes aptX. The audio quality from aptX is indistinguishable from wired music, matching CD performance for a top-quality listening experience. You will continue view song/artist information and perform advanced music navigation from your Bluetooth-enabled device.
Simple Pairing w/ NFC: A single button press pairs your Bluetooth-enabled device with the Boston Acoustics MC100 Blue. The unit is also equipped with NFC (Near Field Communication) for simple tap-to-pair connectivity from Android mobile devices that are NFC equipped. Simply place your NFC-enabled mobile device, such as a smartphone, near the top of the MC100 Blue to initiate pairing. The MC100 Blue can be paired with up to 8 devices (only one can be used at a time). Once paired, the Bluetooth speaker will automatically re-connect to the last device used when in wireless range (30').
Remote Control: The included IR remote control operates the system's volume up/down and muting. The remote also supports basic playback functions of your Bluetooth streamed music, such as Play/Pause and Track Forward/Reverse.
Auxiliary Input: The Boston Acoustics MC100 Blue is fitted with a 3.5mm auxiliary input to connect virtually any portable audio device with a headphone output.
Headphone Output: There is a side-panel 3.5mm headphone jack which allows you to connect a set of headphones for private listening. When a set of headphones are connected, the system's built-in speakers are muted.
Mounting Options: The Boston Acoustic MC100 Blue can simply be placed on a table, desk, shelf, or stand. You can also wall mount the MC100 Blue using its two rear-panel keyhole slots (spaced 3.9375" apart).
