Features Compatibility: This bracket kit is designed for use with Boston Acoustics VRi555, DSi455T2, DSi455, and DSi255 in-ceiling/in-wall round speakers. The brackets are intended for new construction applications only; the brackets are neither needed nor helpful for installations in existing walls. The contents of this kit allow you to mount two speakers. Installation: The flange of the brackets can either be installed facing the wall or in towards the room. With the flange pointed into the wall, the speakers will fit flush with the bracket. With the flange pointing out into the room, the wall boards need to be measured and cut prior to installation. The finished opening should align itself with the edge of the flange. Two of the metal wings are to be installed at 90 degrees (to the bracket); the other two wings should be used at angles to make the installation more secure. The metal wings have perforated mounting holes, used to mount between the joists or the studs using nails or drywall screws (not supplied). There are also four "Speaker wire tie-down tabs" that bend inwards and secure your speaker wire with a cable tie. Note: If this is being used as in-wall brackets, make sure to have at minimum of 1" clearance around the mounting hole. Product Reviews Be the first to review this product.
