Boston Acoustics SC Series speakers bring brilliant sound to your vehicle's audio system. Their precision construction and sensitive response allow them to deliver superb performance, filling your car with perfectly balanced sound and making your drive much more pleasurable.

The Boston Acoustics SC95 6"x9" speaker features a tough copolymer woofer that plays the low notes so you can really feel the beat. A butyl rubber surround keeps the cone under tight control for clear sound and reliable operation even at extreme playback levels. The two 3/4" Kortec® dome tweeters sit in a contoured baffle that widens the dispersion of your high notes, providing clean, well-balanced instrumental detail throughout your car.

A built-in crossover makes sure the highs and lows combine smoothly, and protects the tweeter from sudden overloads. The compact neodymium magnet helps reduce the size of the SC Series speaker, so it can fit in more vehicles without any loss of fidelity.

Note: The oversized terminals on these speakers won't connect to a Crutchfield wiring harness. We recommend that you buy a 10-pack of female quick slides that you can splice onto our harness.

Features

Tweeter: Each speaker uses two type-S2, 3/4" Kortec dome tweeters. The dual tweeters exhibit smoother frequency response and higher output than conventional two-way or three-way designs. Kortec is a silky fabric saturated on the underside with a proprietary stiffening agent. Because the inside surface of the dome is ultra stiff, the tweeter tracks the signal with ease and produces an excellent transient attack. Simultaneously, the soft, self-dampening top layer eliminates unwanted resonance, so the sound is smooth and articulate. The Contoured Asymmetrical Tweeter Baffle (CATB) delivers smooth extension and strong on-axis and off-axis response.

Woofer: The copolymer woofer cone has a durable butyl rubber surround and stands up to the harsh automotive environment.

Crossover: All SC series speakers feature specifically tuned crossovers to deliver the best blend between the tweeter and woofer. Each also features tweeter protection for optimal performance and reliability.

Voice Coil: The oversized 1-1/2" voice coil increases overall power handling and reliability.

Installation: The compact size of the magnet allows SC series speakers to fit where other high quality speakers don't. Neodymium magnets offer extraordinary power-to-weight ratio, approximately ten times the magnetic strength of a conventional iron-ferrite magnet of equal size.

Speaker Terminals: These speakers have 0.25" positive (+) terminals and 0.187" negative (-) terminals, which are too large for the vehicle-specific speaker harnesses supplied by Crutchfield for many vehicle applications. It is recommended that a pack of assorted female quick slides (item # 263FQS10PK) be purchased and spliced to the harnesses to adapt them to the speaker terminals.

Unbelievable improvement over stock speakers. Installed them in an 07 jeep grand cherokee in about an hour. The sound is phenominal! No more crackling static. And the sale price definitely didn't hurt either. Called a Crutchfield tech during the process and the wait time was minimal. The info provided was also helpfull. I do 99% of my music listening on the road , and my quality of life has absolutely improved...

i purchased the sc95 speakers for my 07 ram 1500 it was stockat the time. i installed these in the front doors, then i installed the boston acoustics sc65 in the rear doors and they sounded so much clearer and will not distort at all. the bass was amazind and i also started noticing parts in songs that i have never heard before. then one week after installing them in i ordered a pioneer avh p4200 dvd and the sound is just unreal. and believe me when i say these speakers are good because i have a friend with the same dodge ram but it had the infinity system in it and thats a 7 speaker sysyem and my 4 speakers sounds better than his.

I installed these SC95's in a customers 28' boat to replace a worn out set of Jensen's, and they sound fantastic! My customer is very happy. I decided on Boston Acoustics because I have been very pleased by their performance, sound quality and affordability in the past.

Combined with the Sound Ordnance B-8PT, Alpine MRP-F300 and my factory head, these Boston's are amazing. It's such an improvement over my factory base model system. Very clean base from the speakers, sometimes I feel like I don't even need to sub (although the sub certainly rounds out the whole system) and the highs are also crystal clear.

Although Crutchfield says otherwise, these speakers fit just fine in my fronts for the 2010 Toyota Venza. Just cut the paper speaker and use the plastic rings to mount these speakers to, and you're in business.

I am psyched about these speakers!
