Features Product Overview: The Boston Acoustics SoundWare speaker is a compact, high performance speaker that can be placed virtually anywhere. Its unique geometric shape gives you multiple mounting and placement options. Placement Options: SoundWare's unique design allows you to place the speaker on a shelf or mount it on a wall. The supplied mounting hardware allows you to mount it flush or in a corner, and its pivoting mounting bracket lets you aim the sound where you want it. The speaker also includes a 1/4"-20 threaded insert for aftermarket wall-mount brackets or stands, and a tab for attaching a security device. Mounting Hardware: Included with the speaker is an assortment of mounting hardware. Two metal keyhole-slot brackets are included; one for a flat wall and one for a corner. If you use a keyhole-slot bracket, you must attach the supplied pivoting ball mount to the speaker. The pivoting ball mount allows the speaker to pivot 20° in either direction and pivot down up to 40° when mounted to a flat wall. The corner mount bracket will not allow the speaker to pivot side-to-side. A set screw keeps the speaker from moving once it has been positioned. Indoor/Outdoor: The speaker is made of weather-resistant materials, so you can place it outdoors as well as indoors. Color Options: The SoundWare speaker comes in seven standard colors: black, bamboo, espresso, just red, silver, natural, and white. If one of the standard colors doesn't match your décor, the speaker and removable grille can be painted to any color you desire. Drivers Tweeter: The SoundWare speaker is equipped with a 3/4" fabric tweeter. The tweeter is suspended over the woofer on a "bridge." Woofer: The SoundWare has a 4-1/2" treated paper woofer with a rubber surround. Enclosure: The speaker features an acoustic suspension enclosure. Sound response is above average albeit weak in bass. Sensitivity is not comparable to the two Bose 151s that came with the house but acceptable. The price was good, I like the look and the mounting options, but 4/5 stars because the sound could be a little better.
