Features

Product Overview: The Boston Acoustic SPS-G5104 is a replacement woofer cone/single voice coil assembly, designed exclusively for use with the Boston Acoustic G5-series 10" subwoofers (models G510-4 and G510-44). It cannot be used as a stand alone driver.

SPS (Soft Part System): The G5-series woofers have a removable assembly called the Soft Part System (SPS). The SPS assembly includes the woofer cone and dustcap, foam surround, spider with integrated tinsel leads, voice coil, and the speaker terminals. This interchangeable assembly allows you to repair a blown woofer, or change from a dual voice coil to a single voice coil configuration in the field. The assembly attaches to the woofer frame with 16 screws--8 on the top and 8 on the bottom. Screws and hex key are included.

Materials: The SPS assembly consists of a co-polymer woofer cone with a raised polypropylene dustcap and a large foam surround. It has a 2-3/4", 4-layer voice coil.

SureSet: The speaker terminals are equipped with two 7.5-amp ATC fuses providing voice coil protection under transient conditions such as accidental momentary overdrive. Use of the standard automotive style fuses allows you to quickly service the woofer in case a fuse is blown during usage. Note: The fuses do not protect against voice-coil failure resulting from long term high power abuse.

Terminals: The assembly is equipped rugged spring post terminals that accept up to 8-gauge bare wire or pin connectors.
