If you've ever thought about getting a sound bar but couldn't find a place to put it, you may want to check out the Boston Acoustics TVee One. This reinforced speaker system sits under your flat-panel HDTV. It can support up to 60 pounds, making it ideal for most TVs with screen sizes up to 50 inches. And if you've never considered purchasing a sound bar...well, please don't tell us you're settling for those tiny TV speakers. The TVee One will blow them out of the water, for vibrant, detailed sound that grabs you the same way your TV's high-def picture does.
How does the Tvee One give new life to your TV's sound? Two tweeters and two woofers are powered by a built-in 75-watt amplifier. That's enough firepower to make dialogue crisp and clear, sound effects sizzle with life, and soundtracks thump. Speaking of thump, this system also features two rear-panel acoustic ports for enhanced bass response. You won't need to make space for a subwoofer to enjoy the impact of low-frequency effects in movies and TV shows. Boston's Virtual Surround technology delivers simulated surround sound to create a wide soundstage for a more engaging viewing and listening experience.
You don't have to reserve the TVee One for movies and TV. Connect a CD player using the analog or digital inputs. Better yet, use Bluetooth to stream music from your smartphone, tablet, or computer for playback on the TVee One. That makes it easy to listen to practically any song on the planet wirelessly from the comfort of your couch.
Add big sound to your TV without a roomful of speakers. Sound bars require minimal space and wiring, and their sleek designs complement today's flat-panel TVs. Most sound bars have their own built-in amplification, so you won't need to use a home theater receiver. Some models use advanced surround processing and carefully aimed speaker drivers to simulate the effects of a full home theater audio system.
Love the product. Hook up was easy and sounds great right out of the box.
Pros: Great improvement over the stock speakers. Bluetooth sounds great and connects in a flash.
Cons: Wish there was more bass.
This is an excellent product for a home office. I bought the TVee One for my father. He uses hearing aids and was frustrated because he had a hard time hearing the dialogue in his favorite show, 24. The TVee One was the perfect solution.
Pros: It's easy to set up and has great sound for the money.
A good improvement from the TV speakers
Pros: easy to install and use.
Cons: Nothing to compare with
Great product for the price.
Pros: Fits under TV, easy to use and sounds better than TV speakers.
This was a good choice for a compact tv speaker. I like the size the sound is good not great have heard better. I would buy again for use as a tv speaker, its adequate for this use.
Pros: small size, easy set up
Cons: bluetooth a little tinny, no adjustments for sound other than presets.
Certainly much better than TV speakers . Very clear , and somewhat fuller than TV, but not as BIG a sound as i was hoping for
Pros: looks great. no hassle set up, and no wires all over the room way better than TV alone
Cons: bass not very impressive , sound not so "big"
Great improvement over the Sony Bravia speakers. Fits nice and looks good with 46 in TV. Hook up took about 5 mins with no problems. Was very easy to program to the TV and cable remote. Good buy for your money!
Pros: Overall sound. Easy hookup, Looks good without taking up a lot of space.
I have been looking for a sound bar for my 42" HD TV. Since it is a smaller TV in a smaller bedroom, I didn't need "sound surround" or anything big to give me good sound. I was also looking for bluetooth technology, and a soundbar or box that my TV could sit on top of, to use "vertical" space without blocking the front of my TV's infrared area so I could change channels and volume. I found it all and more in my Boston Acoustics TVee sound box. I always watch Downton Abby and was amazed the first night I watched it with the Boston Acoustic unit, how even the intro music became crisp, clear and I heard the bell ringing for a servant below, which I had never noticed before in the intro. Great sound, great price! If you are looking for a very good system that doesn't take up much space (use of "vertical" space i.e. under your TV without blocking infrared signals), want great sound, is bluetooth compatible, and will give you hours of enjoyment for both your TV watching (movies, musicals, news) AND your digital music, get this unit. Crutchfield is EXCELLENT in helping with any questions, shipping is free, and the unit came quickly, within a week of ordering....in time to be my Valentine's gift from my husband! :)
Pros: There are multiple choices for type of sound you need, from voice only (like the news, where you won't be listening to music), two settings for music listening (comes in great when you are listening to digital off the TV or off an iPod or iPhone with bluetooth), two settings for movies (one uses back of box sound holes to allow sound to bounce off wall, giving it a fuller sound). Sound box can even be "trained" to work with your universal remote, rather than the small remote for the unit.
Cons: Directions are a little confusing because they are so basic/simple...you can be fooled into thinking there's more you need to do to get system set up. Overall, plug in was easy, while just the "training" of your remote with the unit was a little confusing. The remote is a "credit card" type, and there is the concern the buttons may wear out over time, but it is "tougher" and more substantial than other small remotes I've seen.
The TVee One has a wonderful range and highs, midrange and lows can be heard. I love the clarity and the bass, and subtle sounds in movies and high budget TV shows are crystal clear. Its was super easy to program my remote to use as volume control.
Pros: Sound quality. Value. Convenient/attractive placement under TV.
Cons: I wish there was a clearer indicator to display which listening mode is on. It's hard to tell if day or night mode is on.
Great speaker for the money. Sound is excellent.
Pros: Easy set up. Simple to use
Cons: None at this time
My wife kept complaining she couldn't hear the dialog while watching our Vizio 42" tv. I bought this over the ZVOX because of the autoswitching between input sources - trying to keep things simple for my smart yet technophobic wife. I set it up today and played around with it for an hour or so.
It sounds quite good for the price and simplicity. Compared to a component sound system the bass is modest, and mid range is a little muddled, but for an attractive box under the tv for the money, a clear improvement over the tv. Sound is clean up to wake-the-neighbor levels. Based on a small sample of videos the dialog seems clearer as well. Initially I tried:
AppleTV -> optical -> TVOne BlueRay -> coax digital -> TVOne
This way I could blast music over AirPlay, or play a music cd without turning on the tv. Unfortunately the autoswitching seems easily confused. If I start watching something on the AppleTV, pause it, then turn on the BlueRay player, no sound unless I unplug the optical. Theres no way to force it to switch either. If my wife starts watching a show on Netflix then tries to watch a dvd and theres no sound, I'll be in big trouble. I experimented with different combinations, then gave up and just hooked it to the tv:
TV -> optical -> TVOne
I'm disappointed by the switching issue. If its not bullet proof I'd rather manually select the input. Otherwise happy and plan to keep it.
Pros: - easy setup, learning remotes commands a snap - good sound for the price - auto on works great, very low power draw when asleep
Cons: - autoswitching input sources is iffy, no way to manually change

TVee One Speaker Base: The Boston Acoustic TVee One is an under-the-TV soundbar system that dramatically improves your television watching experience by providing exceptional sound quality for today's flat-panel TVs. Experience clear dialog and room-filling sound while watching your favorite television shows and movies. This slim speaker fits under most flat-panel TVs up to 50" and connects with a single cable. It is Bluetooth enabled for wireless music streaming, and can even learn your TV's remote control commands. Elegantly styled and simple to use, the TVee One is a great alternative to a traditional soundbar speaker.
TV Compatibility: The Boston Acoustic TVee One fits under most flat-panel LCD, LED-LCD, and Plasma TVs up to 50" and weighing up to 60 lbs. Your flat-panel TV must also feature an analog (3.5mm/RCA) or digital (optical/coaxial) input. The TVee One measures 23.75" (w) x 2.75" (h) x 14.125" (d), and weighs 9 lbs. Your flat-panel TV's base should be smaller than the TVee One's measurements.
Two-Way Speaker Design w/ BassTrac Technology: The TVee One features a two-way stereo system with two 2" x 5" woofers and two 0.5" tweeters for deep lows and crisp highs. BassTrac technology, a circuit that controls and maximizes bass output, delivers clear and balanced bass at any volume. The TVee One also delivers clear intelligible dialog for your TV shows, movies, newscasts, and sporting events.
Dolby Digital + Digital Optimized Virtual Surround: The TVee One features Boston's Digitally Optimized Virtual Surround (DOVS) processing for pinpoint, theater-like, surround sound. Digitally Optimized Virtual Surround (DOVS) technology from Boston Acoustics uses sophisticated digital processing to create a fully immersive, cinema-quality sound experience, whether you're listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game. DOVS decodes the full, Dolby Digital 5.1 channel audio signal from the source material and applies a proprietary process to derive the ideal two channel version of the original surround sound mix.
Six Listening Modes & Night Mode: With your choice of six listening modes, the TVee One lets you customize the sound quality and level to your room, TV show, or listening preference.
Analog + Digital Inputs: The TVee One connects directly to your flat-panel TV with a single analog or digital audio cable. The unit is fitted with a 3.5mm analog input (includes stereo RCA adapter), plus optical (toslink) and coaxial (RCA) digital inputs. The optical and coaxial digital inputs support Dolby Digital 5.1ch decoding. The analog input offers level adjustment (-12/-6/0dB) order to match TVee One's input sensitivity with the output level of your TV or satellite/cable box. You should disabled your TV's speakers or set your TV's volume to 0 when connecting the TVee One.
Bluetooth Audio Streaming w/ aptX: Thanks to the TVee One's built-in Bluetooth technology with aptX, you can stream music wirelessly with pristine CD quality from your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other Bluetooth-enabled device. You'll be able to stream stored music and music apps on your Bluetooth-enabled device. You will continue use your Bluetooth-enabled device to navigate your music and view song/artist information. The speaker pairs with your Bluetooth-enabled device with a single press of a button. You can pair multiple devices, but only one can be used at a time. Once paired, the TVee One will automatically re-connect with your device when in wireless range (up to 33').
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology, some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or may not support all features when used with the TVee One.
Top-Panel/Remote Controls: The TVee One is equipped with top-mounted volume, input, and listening mode controls; plus it comes with an IR remote control. You can also program your television's or satellite/cable box's remote control to operate the system's volume.
Automatic Power Mode: The TVee One will automatically "wake-up" whenever any of its analog or digital wired inputs receives an audio signal. Simply turning on your television will also turn on TVee One. Because of the TVee One's power saving design, the system takes five to seven seconds to turn on from standby. Pressing either the front-panel Television Input or Bluetooth keys will also power up the TVee One. Press the Power key again to return TVee One to its low-power "standby" mode. The TVee One will automatically return to standby after five minutes of not receiving any audio, for example, after you turn off your television set.
