Great for vehicles with limited space

This fully automatic universal power antenna from RetroSound requires just 8-1/2" of clearance beneath the fender, so it's ideal for vehicles with limited spaces. The package includes six custom mounting bases, so this antenna will fit a wide variety of applications. Operation is completely automatic — the mast extends when the radio is turned on, and retracts when it's turned off.

Q
Will this fit a 1995 Chevy G20 Van?

A
Greetings Tommy, and thank you for your question. The Retro Sound PA-03 antenna is a universal antenna. Its not designed for any one vehicle. The installer has to make it fit. More of a custom job than anything. If you have a factory GM power antenna, you would be better off getting a replacement from GM.

Unfortunately we do not have measurements for the antenna location of a 1995 Chevy G20 van to confirm if this will fit. This antenna will require 8-1/2" of clearance beneath the fender for mounting.

No.

No will not fit, hole is too big, same problem I had, the hole size required is 7/8" or 1" depending which base you choose to use from the kit. I had to weld patch in existing hole and redrill to correct size.

I have a 1996 Olds 88. Will this work, in terms of adapting to the existing wiring, mounting and fitting on the fender?

I need to know what size hole does this unit cover, I have a hole size of 1 1/4". I would prefer a manual antenna that goes all the way down, flush. Hopefully you guys will have something that will work out. Cheers Paul

Q
Will this antenna work on a 1993 Honda accord se?
terree  May 02, 2022
1 answer
A
Hello Terree, Not sure about your Honda as the unit I purchased we put into a 1958 Chevrolet. These are pretty much a universal unit and you should be able to make it work in your application. Just check to make sure you have the packaging room within the envelope it has to be mounted in. If you to that and there is enough room, no issues then. Good luck.

Hello James Unfortunately I am unable to assist you. I did in fact purchase the antenna but I also had issues with what goes where. I informed Retrosound that I hired a professional company to install the antenna and they informed me that a piece was missing. I thought that was unusual but i contacted Retrosound anyway and asked about obtaining the part. I was told it will be mailed to me. After a few months went by, I had not received the part, so I called again and was told it would be mailed to me. Again, months went by and I still had not received it. I repeated my request to get assistance from Retrosound. By now, a year and a few months had gone by when a service representative finally told me they will not send the part and if I wanted the part, I will need to purchase the entire antenna set up for the 1 missing part that I needed. I informed the representative that I would no longer do business with Retrosound.

James- Mine came with a plastic bag with 6 (I believe) different black plastic washers. I mounted mine on a 1950 Chevy front fender, and just used the washer with the closest matching curvature. Otherwise, I don't recall which metal washers go where, but I don't think it makes a lot of difference as long as the antenna is stabilized on both sides of the mounting surface. FYI, I live in the country, but do not get good radio reception. Only close by AM-FM stations come in without static. However, since I primarily use Sirius satellite radio ((separate antenna) and Bluetooth music, I'm not going to remove the fender to try another model. Hope this helps.

Q
where are the wires ?
donnie  Dec 11, 2020

In the photo the wires are on the other side and are long enough to mount on fender, if you want to mount on rear of car you need longer wires and cable

Universal fit, should be plenty of room under your fenders.

I have no idea. Probably, it is very compact and has sufficient adaptors to find body contours. I installed mine in a 1974 TVR 2500M on a rear fender curve and it fit perfectly.

I have 19997 Chevrolet Silverado K3500 Crew cab long bed dually, will I need a certain adapter? Also right now it's just the factory stereo, aftermarket stereo plans in the future

your best bet would be to clip the connector from broken antenna and solder the new wires to the old connector from the original antenna. Make sure you cut the wires about 6 inches from the connector. you could use butt connectors but i prefer to solder. this will most likely not be an exact fit so you will have to use the provided bracket or redrill new holes on the factory bracket to mount. It really isn't that bad or hard but will require alittle patience.

In my particular case, a custom bracket had to be fabricated in order to hold the unit to the right inner fender well. In order to do this correctly, my vehicle's passenger door had to be temporarily removed. More than I expected went into the installation, but I'm sure that it will all be worth the effort once I can see that baby in action. Do your research! Expect one or two surprises.

Do you have motor specs for these antennas? Its being used in a non automotive competition and I will need documentation on the motor.

We don't show specs on the motor in our system, but RetroSound should be able to get you that info. You can find their contact info here: https://www.retromanufacturing.com/pages/contact-us
